I've been following this fortnite situation on twitter and it seems the gaming community feel the new season is could be released as soon as 3 hours from now...If Bids are involved, could be a monster rns coming in the next 48 hours
Hoping for a good RNS but it really is just speculation that Bidstack has any involvement with Fortnite .
Had a look at the Bidstack website yesterday, stack.games and it's still not up and running. The sooner this gets done the better.

We will say it was what we hoped for but it never happened. But I agree it would be disappointing. We do need some other big titles to advertise in. perhaps call of duty mobile or others. The games may take time to come but I would really like to see some more titles announced soon. If we can get a big title which advertisers will spend in then other game developers will take more notice and start to place ads in their games
What if Bids ads are in the game but they don`t or can`t announce it as an RNS?
In terms of Fortnite I fear the worst, there was a trailer leaked last night which appears to show a new map, with lots of water, boats, fishing and pogo sticks, but sadly there was little evidence of in-game advertising.
Descriptions I have read of the new game go into some detail about enhanced quality imagery etc. but again no mention of advertising.
We may still get a pleasant surprise, but I wouldn't bank on it.

I can understand them tweeting about Fortnite calamari, but why on earth would they have their #GetintheGame hashtag attached I really don't know...what else can 'Get in the Game' mean? Its basically Bids telling advertisers to Get in the Game!

I’ll be honest I’m a tad concerned if nothing in fortnite.
It’s a free game, with some one we have supposedly collaborated with. Would have thought it be relatively simple to slip immersive ads into the game.
Plenty of places for ads to sit even a football stadium with empty billboards and a petrol station. Why would they not have adverts?...
Come on guys get real... would you launch your flagship title with a brand new never used before tech to masses of hyper critical teenage fans? I am not the most risk adverse person in the world and that would make me wince a bit.
I would be much more tempted to switch it on once I had worked out my own bugs.
Don’t get me wrong, if they do launch with it they are much braver than me and would speak volumes about their trust in the tech and team but from a technical standpoint it would be a massive risk.
Personally what I am looking for are advertising places intentionally positioned to accept an advert where one is not currently displayed. That will provide me with more comfort than anything else.
That's what I was looking for as well, although I kind of disagree about when to introduce the adverts. Feel like if they changed it at a later date people would notice more and be more likely to complain about it. But maybe you are right. Doesn't matter I'm "inthegame" now and won't be selling. I may top up more if it drops through 18p as well.
Whilst I thought that the launch would be a good time to integrate the ads if the testing etc is still ongoing then I agree that it's much better to get it right before implementing. Plenty of space in the game for ads to be put in later down the line and remember Fortnite is a game that has an update every 3 months so nice and easy to put in if they do go down that road.
I think we're all invested here because we see the potential and get excited by the possibilities so of course there is going to be speculation.
Good news is that whilst we were all concentrating on Fortnite yesterday, Football Manager 2020 release date was announced for the 19th November :D

Not negative but remember they will have their own bugs to sort out without adding a third party platform integration into the mix. I fully expect flagship titles to feature these adverts but there is such a thing as scaling in.
People aren’t going to inject their golden goose with growth hormone without first testing it on a big standard chicken are they?
Be realistic, stay honest, be patient and great things will happen.l but it won’t be overnight.
Regarding £1 by Christmas you may laugh but nobody knows where this is going.
I’m not being negative or deramping, I see bids idea as a smart and interesting one, but being a gamer myself for the past 12 years, the big boy title such as call of duty, fallout franchise, battlefield etc just wouldn’t fit in with in game advertising, players would not be happy, today’s player base is a very large and vocal one and if there’s something they don’t like they will the developer know, plus the message gets across quick with platform such as twitch etc! For example have a look at fallout 76, take a look at the sort of environment the player is in, advertising doesn’t belong as it takes away that post apocalyptic feel! And as for fortnight, they are not the most popular with parents giving 70% player base is under the age of 15, advertising to kids probably wouldn’t go down good either, plus apex legends has taken most of the 18+ aged market! Just my thought not even invested here just giving a gamers point of view on in game advertising
