Morning Tintin. That's made me smile.....blood....translation of haematite. Lol
" at lkab's general meeting last week, Jan Moström, CEO and CEO, demanded legally and effective administrative for mining in Sweden. He was very critical of the state of things.
" we have become a kickball between different government authorities. We can't have it so if Sweden is to remain a leading industry and gruvnation ", thundered moström from the rostrum.
Göran FÀrm, chairman of Beowulf mining and former Meps (s), testifies to how it can be done.
Beowulf submitted his first application for bearbetningskoncession for the kallak project in blood, which is designated as the largest unprocessed jÀrnmalmsfyndigheten in Europe, in April 2013.
So the company has waited more than six years on final notice!
It's no wonder Sweden is starting to lose in international rankingar over attractive gruvnationer."
we shoudn't forget that every move up is immediately held back by the sale of the two placement shares. It's annoying but they will be gone soon...
Thanks Sooz.
.....our application will now BE prioritised.....
Just stay up on your moral platform suzy, my choices are irrelevant to you. Turning that comment into a patronising position does you a disservice. As eric said it is irrelevant,or should be in our case, but the swedes do have previous for twisting reality into another purpose to stretch this out.Chill out as hasty says !
Exactly so.. I propose we accept that proposition and I'm sure Mr P will second it....until summer, meteorological. May will be merry...no more bleating.
Interesting posts today. I feel talk of the potential changes in the permitting process to a One Stop Shop is fair enough, but wholly irrelevant in our case. The Government has already informed Kurt that our application will now he prioritised, following an acknowledgement by the Swedes that the matter to date has been dealt with inefficiently. Kurt believes that it is not unreasonable then, considering what he has been told, that a decision should come before summer. So it is pointless bleating about this at the moment, when summer is not yet upon us. When the time comes, should there be the usual silence or indeed no further motion to the good for us from the Swedes, I believe then would be the time where we must press Kurt into demanding a decision on the concession. This would definitely not be unreasonable. In my opinion only. Best wishes all.
..
Are only irrelevant if you have no principles, otherwise everything is relevant.
Yes, it is...the funniest.
Had trouble posting myself...words flying off the page...so you've been spared a lot. :-)
I think that's the funniest set of messages I've ever seen.
Fire sale...
You could not make this up. Down 5%. Wall to wall buying and the more they buy ( currently 2.2 million ) the cheaper they get.
Aktie ownerâs must have a cash flow problem.
Now don't get Hasty, Hasty. As the song says you don't get anywhere by being Hasty :)

Suzy/book chill. Both of you are passionate it is clear to see but please agree to disagree.
Nobody fully knows everything that will or won't happen here. I hope for a positive outcome but I am equally petulant and frustrated at times with the years of prevaricating from the Swedish authorities.

Suzy,I do not despise anyone or anything. I admire the sentiment but despair at the practitioners inability to move forward without endless committees and discussion. My investment choices are irrelevant.
So the Swedish regulators want to move to the 'one stop shop' approach to regulatory licencing. The observation from our resident expert is that this is just another Socialist approach.
Whilst I'm not privy to their political views I must confess that they must be quite extreme to claim that Margaret Thatcher was some kind of SOCIALIST !
I remember engaging with one regulator about this concept and expressed the view that to be able to select some kind of bespoke service (off the shelf) under the same roof would identify issues quickly and allow them to be dealt with quickly and efficiently ( a bit like going into a supermarket and filling your basket and off to the checkout)
They agreed that if the founding principle was supermarket based things would be smooth and efficient but they went on to point out that Margate's maiden name was Roberts and not Sainsbury or Tesco. They did admit though that the concept could come close to the Old Sainsbury's approach of 'doing the stations of Sainsbury' i.e. going (and queuing at the various serving counters at the shop!
The problem for the Swedish Government is that WE ARE ALREADY IN THE PROCESS it would be immoral aas well as illegal not to progress our application under the CURRENT rules. Not really a problem just give us the consent and we'll walk away smiling with all forgiven.
Which is professional...but the PM did...when asked about the issue of Laver and Kallak, he said the matter was being prepared. So...before the summer would be reasonable...and this is where we are, before the summer, any day now.
W
You are wrong....and I did answer the question, if this fails it will be because the MP succeeded in destroying Sweden's Mining Policy The forces against this have been great...I have confidence they will be overcome.
Well, you didnât answer the question. The respect you have for Kurt must be based on what he says, as he has not achieved the single outstanding objective he inherited when he took over. He has said a decision should come before summer. If it does not, are you saying your investment matters so little to you, you will simply shrug your shoulders and continue to unquestioningly support Kurt?
Surely not. You have endured countless âdeadlinesâ now over many years. Nothing ever progresses.
