Whatever the nationality of the company who operates this mine, if it happens, it will operate under Swedish law and pay Swedish taxes.
Yep agree Sweden out to protect their state ;
In my opinion, the reason for the obfuscation is because Sweden would rather have the setup run by a fully state owned operation (LKAB) where profits and taxes remain Swedish.

I get your point. Thanks for taking the time to clarify.
Typo - first mooted
WIW. Of course you are entitled to your opinion as am I. I wasn't saying your opinion was irrelevant. I was merely stating my own opinion that BEM being 70% owned by Swedes is irrelevant as to why we have not got the green light.
That of course assumes that the 70% are all swedes which we can't be sure of without a forensic examination of the SDR register.
My apologies if I made it unclear.
In my opinion, the reason for the obfuscation is because Sweden would rather have the setup run by a fully state owned operation (LKAB) where profits and taxes remain Swedish.
I believe the Sami are just a handy scapegoat for the government and LKAB to nail to the mast.
Surely pressure from loads of Swedish investors would carry a lot more clout than from British investors.
One could argue Brexit is a factor as a referendum was first moored by Cameron over 6 years ago although I feel this less likely as most didn't believe it would happen.
Please feel free to continue to post your opinions as will I. Good luck. 3CB
You Said
"So the way I see it, a load of British shareholders filling his inbox will be a waste of time. Perhaps you should be addressing the swedish shareholders".
I said "the company owned 70% by Swedes"
You said Irrelevant
As you can see your argument is a little inconsistent. Either its because its a British registered company, in which case it doesn't matter where the shareholders come from, or the fact that its owned 70% by swedes IS relevant.
Sorry to sound pedantic, but this is a public board, all are entitled to opinions. If you wish to state my opinion as irrelevant then have the courtesy of giving a valid reason.
Yep sadly the reality is Sweden does not deem Beowulf a good fit in its steel aspirations.
It's a problem for them they want the resource but not owned by a British firm.
If the names had been right I'm convinced this would have been granted it's a corrupt world
"British registered company owned 70% by Swedes"
Irrelevant
:-)
British registered company owned 70% by Swedes
your welcome
TSP. I hear what you say but the only reason he won't say yes is ( imho) because we are a british registered company not a swedish one.
So the way I see it, a load of British shareholders filling his inbox will be a waste of time. Perhaps you should be addressing the swedish shareholders.
Hahahaha...

Done :-)
Thanks Sooz. We seem to be staying on the right side of the tracks with our Kal thinking. Stick to the process, as flawed as it has been, and we will gain the concession. Meanwhile, Kurt sticking to the process and the Government proving itself incompetent is brewing a nice little storm.
Night. x
It's not the 1950s any more! The world has moved on! It's all a little bit more sophisticated than little brown envelopes these days! Lol!
Absolutely Eric, agree with you one hundred percent!
Evie eve. x
Yes, it's me, I be 'ere. Lol.
I'm fuming at some of these posts over the last few days but don't want to get involved. I haven't got the strength or will. We have followed all rules and regulations for the concession to be granted, been open-handed with the Sami, encouraging them to join in the Kal project, a project for all. Kurt has done what he should have and much more with the application and the wider. The Government must sort this problem out now or face the consequences in court. The KU findings a massive bonus for us, proving the Government neglectful and therefore negligent in dealing with our application. We should not be approaching the Sami in any other way than we already have, i.e. no talk of monies in return for nods, lol, as this could then be seen as our attempt to bribe them and be completely used against us. Which of course it surely would.
Kurt can do no more except take the Government to task if the UNESCO situation drags on, and I mean after UNESCO has given input and the case is back with the Government. Kurt has made it officially known that it is not even a matter for UNESCO, and there is no evidence to suggest otherwise. Kal, BEM, Kurt, you and I are miles away from being anywhere near Laponia.
Feels good. Lol.
Have a pleasant evening Sooz. xx
There you are! Lol. Yes, well worth it. ;-)
And a juicy apple it was. Lovely, well worth it.
I quite like the opportunity to exchange views and information with people on a matter of mutual interest. I don't like face book or twitter but if it puts people all over the world in contact with one another that's a good thing. Everything has a good face and a bad one, it's been a difficult matter ever since Eve ate the apple and I'm on her side, knowledge is a good thing.
What's stopping me?
I have never had a twitter account.
I briefly had an instagram account. My facebook account is inactive and may well be deleted shortly.
I use youtube purely for the musical content.
I consider all social media as part of the dumbing down process essential to world leaders on a planet massively overpopulated. Our leaders must laugh heartily at us squabbling over our own view of reality conveyed via a small screen inches from our face.
