lol! Some people don't look further than their noses AAX 1,043.87 -15.51 -1.46%
Why? You don't have any shares remember? I bet you walk past a beggar in the street and tell them how unlucky they are. Sad.
Don't like the look of this...
Yes, I feel Kurt could see a workable solution, but of course he didn't perhaps take into account that others didn't, under any circumstances, want one. Well, obviously barring a healthy offer of cash compensation for their alleged woes. Lol. I find it all a bit dull now though, in all honesty Aug. Just think how much of the resource could have been proven up by now, how near we could have been to pilot production, had the authorities played fair. Atb.
Cracking films
Beowulf... I was watching Toy Story 2 with my young granddaughter today, when this happened: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElhbTsKsros " Grandpa, I'll never throw my toys away " she said, and, I could not look at her - something in my eye. there should be warnings for grandparents on Disney DVDs.
Four candles? Hint - stop thinking about BEM and think about the Two Ronnies. It makes a nice change not to be thinking about BEM all the time.
Wonder what we'll find to talk about next week....the price of candles?
It has been said many times on this board that Kallak has ANI status and therefore takes precedence. Some time later the Sami parliament followed suite giving reindeer herding priority, which we understood to be illegal because they have no legal power to issue an ANI.Taking this into consideration and the fact that no evidence has been put forward to date that the two cannot coexist contrary to what KB has suggested. How on earth can can the Sami view point even be considered in these circumstances? Although I am sure it will be.
When the governmentso inexplicably prevaricated and delayed making the decison last time it was on their desk I imagine it was because they knew the NK appeeal was in the pipeline and that it might have consequences for Kallak..therefore they allowed it to be tested. And now it has been and we came out on the winning side; a major hurdle has been cleared. If there was any other major reason why didn't they say so they had it plenty time. Anyway, this hockey match is well into injury time. We shall see...fun isn't it?
Mine goes before the drainage (2014) A new nickel mine is more important than drainage and tourism. It considers the county administrative board in Vsterbotten, which now leaves the sign of a mine in Rnnbck outside Trnaby. "I'm disappointed but not really surprised," says Inger Baer Omma from Vapsten's Samurai to the Vsterbotten Kurir. In the Bergsstaten's decision on a processing concession, it is stated that the rich interest of valuable substances should prevail over the national interest rate industry
back in 2014 Renar had to give way - new yes to mine in Rnnbcken News. Nickel-breaking goes before the run-up. The government's decision on a nickel mine in Rnnbcken south of Trnaby is established. Published October 31, 2014 at. 07:18 The government received backlog by the Supreme Administrative Court, HFD, and then reassessed the plans for Sweden's largest nickel mine in Rnnbcken. It was approved - again. Vapsten's township had requested legal review, now the HFD estimates that the decision should be held, the government is deemed not to have misjudged facts or exceeded its scope of action. According to the cohabitation, the current pasture is so important that only one quarter of today's reindeer can be left and, in the long run, it must stop reindeer husbandry if the mine becomes a reality. The mining company Nickel Mountain does not consider it unexpected that the government's decision was correct throughout this legal process. Nicknames in Rnnbcken are the largest in Sweden and, according to the company, will make Sweden independent of imported nickel for 27 years. A mine also involves about 1,000 new jobs in the county.
You have the confidence to set off on your journey because of the thousands of previous, incident free trips. I have the confidence that Sweden will not make a decision any time soon on Kallak because of the countless deadlines and pinch points in this process which have not produced either a decision, or clear, timetabled progress towards a decision. Theres your evidence in both instances.
I might trip on the stairs and break my neck.
But it isn't either or it can be both and....the Rule Book says where there are competing ANIs there should be cooperation, one only prevails against another if it can be shown that one will be prevented from operating. That is what the Sami are endeavouring to do but will it wash, where is the evidence. Belief is a curious condition...just think about it, how much do we take for granted every day without any evidence.....plenty. I believe I can get in my car and drive down the motorway without hitting anything but I could have a stroke or something and it would all go pear shaped...should I stay at home?
Yep. Those are the facts alright. But, in my opinion, the ANI for reindeer husbandry which was announced 12 months ago will be taken rather more seriously by the government. It provides them with another reason to prevaricate. ATB.
Morning. Mick_OC thank you for posting that. The Sami maintain their position any accommodation is an erosion of culture! an unhelpful position, that fails to recognise the responsibility of Government re adopted policies and the fact that co-operation has been proven in other locations. lbjj UNESCO and others determined the boundary in respect of Laponia. The boundary is recognised by everyone as a buffer to protect all within. No one is going to suggest that the boundary should be moved. Imo. Eric when Budge arrived the application was running. The nature of the objection, and the location of both the Sami/herders and Laponia was already known to all involved, as was the political considerations that were going to play heavy (Sami parliament etc), that is simply, a fundamental, certainly to Budge. So then, before he took up his position, did he consider, that the objection may go away if he took the post, or did he take this fundamental consideration to others and ask, is there a workable solution, that offers some positives for everyone, and what further input, if any, is expected/required from BEM? I have no idea myself! In my opinion only. atb
Ok, thanks for confirming why. We shall see. I feel it would be severe for us if this delay isn't brought to a halt within the next couple of months.
I thought the RNS was the reply? Why not ask Kurt, he is very good replying to emails
Has anyone got an English copy of Bem's full 23 page reply to the Government?
Hi, The fact that CAB and Sami villages have said no thanks is all the government need for more endless pondering. I did say this week that I felt they may be tempted to involve the Sami parliament and UNESCO, and apparently theres a guy called Tom Cobley who wants his two penneth. ATB.
Lb, you don't believe the Government will make a decision, but who else do you feel the Government could involve in our processs now then, by way of a delaying tactic? Or, in spite of Kurt publicly highlighting the ineptitudes of the system and our mistreatment, do you feel it'll be a case of the Gov dweebs simply sitting on the application for months again, without good reason, before eventually directing the MI to sign it off or otherwise? I'm interested to know what else you feel can be done to stall the process, now that we have all comments in and the CAB and MI have finally concluded their business. The Norra Karr issue also out of the way. Based on past evidence, I agree that we could be left dangling, but I'm trying to examine what may be a fresh deviation from the Government behaving responsibly towards a private company, considering the saturation point already reached, and on public display. Cheers.
Yes, forgot those., thanks for reminding me. :- Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die.
Just one more thing....we are indeed at the sharp end once more...not even a false deadline in sight. BUT we do have the Mining Inspectorate on our side and that's good enough for me. Happy Imbolc everyone and good luck to those who choose to stay.
Sorry Suzy you are wrong, there are things in life that are certain, taxes and death!!!!! Hoping the Govt want this out of the way, and makes the decision quickly (In our favour of course)
