Thanks Treetop, good of you, but it doesn't matter. It is how it is. Let's get this decision in and crack on. Regards.
Well said Mick, Edd don't be too sensitive, we'd all have different opinions of one another if we met each other and spent time with one another,we'd undoubtedly form another. it's just an online persona. People such as lbjj constantly contradict themselves over time if you have a good memory, back track, say one thing, do another, state they only deal in facts and offer opionins etc and these people have the temerity to judge others, c'mon ignore it an we all make mistakes with both investments and figures, hell none of us got into this expecting to be waiting for the decision for 6 /7 years. I wish you and all others on the bored good luck and profit with your investment, we've all earned it should it come to pass an lastly I expect much more than Gambiers 10p before the decision.
Sometimes a little time out from these boards is a good thing pal, I do not doubt your holding and wish you well whatever you decide to do with it. Stock boards can take over your life, we have all been here for many years, most have not made a penny with this stock, if you are in a postion to make a few bob and leave some to your family then good for you, go for it.
Afternoon. ed44 very best wishes ed. Perhaps a little time-out may change how you feel. Mick_OC/Pocko thank you for the information. I agree entirely with those comments. If the concession is granted, as you have said previously, it will be transformational. The whole portfolio will have more focus when the company is much less exposed to the obvious risk. I do think that both potential and existing investors will make cold calculation to what BEM then would have to offer, and that past disappointments will be quickly forgotten with some, in respect of any disposals considered, against the new facts. New facts, presents a new share price and new sentiments, both impossible to measure as of this time. In my opinion only. atb
Don't know anything about graphite only that it rhymes with s h i t e.....only joking. Its those JUMBO FLAKES that intrigue me, I guess they're the ones we gotta look out for. Somebody posted on hear a few months back he seem to know what he was talking about. Just wondering if he is still about, or anybody care to enlighten us about its potential with BEM in mind.
Good read Mick... looks positive for the Finnish project. It’s still Kallak it bust for me, but it’s good that BEM has other ongoing options. Scoping study for Kallak is imminent, and it will be good to get the drill bits turning again...
Disappointed you have reacted that way with Eric ,he has been a strong supporter of yourself for many years Ed. Your strategy is all your own concern but these boards do attract a variety of posters who work to their own agendas that can change according to circumstances as well as whims. Trying to 'police ' them is pointless just do your own thing and comment without emotion, always remember life could be worse you could be one of us mackems !
Good on you Sooz. Nighty. x
My eighth too....in October. ..loved it, nearly every minute, Nighty night. x
This is my eighth year, but my actual candle won't be until August. I wonder what RNS goodies we'll receive between now and then? The news of a big drill turning on Kallak South perhaps. Additional licence applied for. Lol.
Yes, it all sounds very positive away from our Kallak distraction. It only depends when it might all come together for us in these other areas. I think we have to trust as well, oh please oh pretty please, lol, that Kallak is a one-off in terms of the bureaucratic overkill. Kurt in the meantime is definitely preparing the Company for success elsewhere, which should complement our Kal project, and, more to the point, these other plays are not instead of. Encouraging words from Mr Damberg, so I'm hoping he's also pushing the appropriate buttons for us in the halls of power, with Kal. Open mind from me, although I'm not sure I could manage another eight years involved. It's been tough, so I'll take each piece of news as it comes. Before we know it it'll be 2026. Lol.
The sifting mechanism on this board really doesn't like the word for coke waste. Lol
Sorry....don't know how that happened...it just jumped off the page.
Eric, my interest has been piqued this week by Atvidaberg, it was Mr Damberg's comments about Berg****an that did it, it rang a bell...one of those gold in them there hills sort of bells. "Our steady progress at Attvidaberg is starting to yield results". Up till now any mention of another Swedish licence failed to pique my interest entirely....but I've changed my mind. I've had a very good day today, spreading muck on my borders...and I got it cheapish. ;-)

Yes, I reckon keeping an open mind Sooz, while containing any emotion, is the way to go. This is a serious business. Have a good weekend.
It’s a little too simplistic to state that long-term investors will unload shares immediately upon news. And a vital point seems to have been conveniently overlooked. News and the subsequent volatility in the SP will pique the interest of new investors. If an investor is selling, then another investor is buying... Someone’s chatting bubbles...
Fair observations there Gambier.I have a fairly large holding and unfortunately at quite a high average so I will not be one of those unloading if a positive announcement is made but rather drip feeding over a much longer period of time.Perhaps though if it is good news then there may be a demand from the bigger institutions which hopefully will create an increase in demand.Oh for a crystal ball! gla.
Gambier, Agree with that analysis ; so far as strategy is concerned, I've no idea what I'm going to do or when I'm going to do it...it depends entirely on what happens.
Anybody who holds a very large percentage share of any company will always have a ‘problem’ with liquidity, that is a innate part of being a large shareholder. If most large Apple shareholders wanted to offload all at once, they would have a liquidity issue. I assume anybody with a significant BEM shareholding will realise that they will have to sell over time in order to get a particular price (assuming a positive decision). It may well be the case that the SP doesn’t rise as high as many think due to the ‘desperation’ of so many to get shut as soon as possible. But this is why SP prediction post-concession is a nonsense - there are too many variables with too many unknowns. Also what people say and what people do are very different things. My guess has always been a positive decision produces an SP of over 10p without any clue of how long any rise would be sustained for. I also have no idea what sort of quantities will be able to be sold during that period. This is reasonable position with the information available. Any double digit price would be a very significant multiple for myself and any significant drop might get my money back. People have very different averages and mentalities, they will react differently. Anybody who says they do know how all these variables coalesce post-decision is talking utter nonsense and should be mocked accordingly.
I find that funny FF23, "buried down the board"...when you've been chatting on a chat board as long as some of us have here you'll learn a few tricks about negotiating the "chaff" as you put it. Have a nice weekend everyone, hope the sun shines. Exciting times ahead for us I think. Have I ever said that before? Lol
If the concession is granted, there will be a huge volume of both buys and sells simultaneously, so I dont believe liquidity will be an issue. At some of the countless pinch points over the past 5 years, daily volumes have exceeded 100 million shares on a number of occasions, as the SP rose significantly
Gambier - more importantly/interestingly, on the question of liquidity (buried way down the board under mountains of he said, she said "bedwetting") you offered the view that the liquidity of BEM is fine. I don't disagree with that in terms of free float etc, but aside from theoretical or logical liquidity what's your take on practical liquidity. That was what I had in mind when I said that there wasn't much liquidity (or similar). What I meant by that was that with only 500 or so AIM registered shareholders, many of whom are long term holders who have taken a decision not to sell until the concession is announced one way or another, there are actually relatively very few buyers in the market. And as we agree that every seller needs a buyer that amounts to de facto lack or liquidity, especially when the market makers set the bid and offer so far apart. That being the case there is more practical liquidity in Sweden where there are apparently 6000 shareholders and a narrower spread which results in a far higher level of trading on a daily basis. What I'm saying is that the Aktie is a better predictor of future sp momentum as a result, leave aside the better understanding of the local issues that the Swedes have. I also agree with you that it's highly irrelevant until there is a decision on the concession, so it's just a point of interest/distraction in the meantime.
