Yes there's a grace about some trees, the mulberry is probably the most interesting as they take 7 years to bear fruit and the Chinese liken the fruits to the cycle of life as they start white, turn red then ripen and fall off black. Quite rare and trying to get cuttings to strike even rarer!! On topic, the old girl had a massive dip down to about 210 and 'sister' carillion around the same time, easy with hindsight but I did add both as I had confidence and patience I guess as I kind of 'know' the share. The only ones you can have any confidence predicting are the mega caps like RDSB or IMT as they're defensive in their own ways and bound to rise for a certain level I believe. The brokers skim off the top and add to the lower ones for discretionary clients, sounds so easy but of course we're playing with our own dosh which makes it a bit more than playing!! Glad to have you on board mate.
Looking on blvn yesterday. . some guy was stopped out @ 39p. .. down £84,000
That was the forest of dean... bloody psoriatic arthritis..
Had William hill a couple of years ago and did okay. The other ones I had when they were called something else? Bananas, had them post crash but sold them all at 30 I think. I can't make my mind up about Asian citrus, the div cut out me off and they talk a good talk. Fair play keeping fyfees all this time.
Very interesting on both counts. Still love wood even though I never got to be a tree surgeon. Do you recall the lad who used to sit up in the trees in The Singing Detective? That was like me, used to climb in the forest all the time, the higher the better. Now I hate heights. Was taken to the Botanical Gardens in Cambridge regularly when I was a boy, and would stare up at the trees all the time. The varieties there are incredible. Re: bby Wish I had got some back then. I have only been investing in shares since February. Always funds until this year. The funds were good, but too slow for me, as I'm an old b***** and need things to progress more swiftly. I watch you and some of the others chatting, and enjoy "listening" in. Thanks
Rats with bushy tails!!
A job for the bsa airsporter
Plus they dig up the grass to bury the nuts!
Quite spindly but attracts the wildlife alright!!
I think BAe pay up soon,a few small ones before the big oils pay for Xmas. The old girl first week in dec? Asian citrus but can't remember if I sold them before or after the ex div, same with hansteen, saw a quid and they went! What about LAD? I'm out of them but look cheap again?
I planted some cob nut 2005. .bloody grey squirrels
Some specimen,a few fruit ones, firewood trees(ash/sycamore type of weed trees),ilex oak, sweet chestnut,a couple of mulberrys I grew from cuttings along with a load of bays which were surprisingly easy to strike. The old girl is a longtermer of mine, pre-RI a couple of years back. Add below 230,reduce when there's a 3 in front, keep a core holding...,sounds easy but its worked okay for me bud. All these types are winning contracts all the time(these, cost, clln etc). I think longterm there's a lot more gas in the tank but always a bit biased when you've got a load!!!
What trees do you grow, a variety or one species? I looked at bby when they dropped to 220p earlier this year, but didn't take the plunge, didn't know enough. Been watching since, and their contract wins seem huge and regular.
A jesus deciple. . Carpentry/ joinery
Hope the shift goes well bud.
