All it says is afternoon hours
An RNS would be good to confirm lift off
a2b - do u know what time ?
Hylas 3 lifting off tomorrow good luck to it
GCCRa, as ever you have issues with evidenced facts, I see. Doesn't quite fit with your fanatical fanboy narrative...
Tell you what... why don't you make your 569th "strong buy" recommendation? You've been making nothing but those since the SP was in excess of £2. Hopefully nobody's ever listened to you, or they'd be in a world of pain.
But hey, maybe one day you'll be right, eh? If only very briefly...
(What a sap...)
So, two posters having an excellent debate, both obviously with good knowledge of the industry, and then in comes GCC disparaging one poster, and providing no rational argument or discourse of his own. Only one poster spreading bile here, and it isn't HITS.
HITS still posting bile I see, and still disguised as a semi-normal . Crawl back under your depressing little stone for goodness sake. Oh and someone step on it....please.
today's rise toppled by a £24 sell silly
Oh and on your other points...
I can see that a case can possibly be made for it not being the best time for H3 to launch.
I completely agree - as you well know - that the individual supply of broadband to Western European homes and businesses is a complete waste of time for satellite operators. Eutelsat may well be throwing buckets of money (eg free CPE for starters) at resellers like BBB to get as much single user utilisation of its new Konnect service as quickly as possible, but it's a mug's game in the face of FWA and especially 4G (from any of the big MNOs actually).
So not only is this a small beer spat and unimportant, but it's also something that AVN shouldn't - and presumably wont - get itself get distracted by. It has more appropriate and lucrative opportunities that it needs to pursue - as we both know.
Finally, yep. It does remind me of the QSAT clusterf*ck - good call. Except this time it isn't about an ISP going bust... I'd lay money on it being an ISP breaching contract.
Tyche, no I don't believe that at all.
If you'd read my post more carefully, you'd have seen that I specifically stated that BBB was almost certainly in breach of its contracts with AVN, hence the latter's decision to switch off (and try to migrate customers to Bentley Walker). It absolutely is small beer - and frankly a distraction away from the much more sensible rabbits that AVN now seems to be chasing.
More on this kerfuffle here:- https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2019/07/bigblu-broadband-uk-isp-customers-on-avanti-satellite-cut-off.html
Sounds like you have been chatting to a competitor HITS, do you honestly believe AVN would switch off a partner just because they intend to switch providers or have a high churn rate? Its logical to expect a contract is in place which has either been breached by either BBB or AVN, given the history of BBB I suspect it's them but could be wrong. Remember what happened with QSAT, this has the same hallmarks. With regards to Hylas 3 your comments are absolute madness , 4 GHZ of fully steerable multi beam capacity over the Middle east, I hope to see Military involvement, we already know AVN has a route to this via comsat. It will be very interesting to follow the Konnect story which in its current form is just tooway re branded chasing the small residential users offering crazy incentives to small re sellers which in any case will be able to use EE 4g with a very small self install antenna in conjunction with their mobile phone packages and no land line rental. My take is AVN doing the right thing going for the commercial deals whilst letting the BBB's scrape the bottom of the barrel which as you describe as beer money with high churn rates.
Was speaking to someone in the sat industry yesterday. His view was that it'd do AVN a world of favours if the launch of H3 catastrophically failed (provided it's been properly insured).
His bleak but pragmatic view was that the last thing the company needs at this point is the extra expenditure of running a 4th satellite, when they haven't got anywhere near selling out capacity on the existing fleet. Plus he pointed out that it'd be typical for AVN to have to contractually pay out a few more 10s of millions of dollars (almost certainly to ArianeSpace) if/when H3 is demonstrated to have reached its specified orbital position and to be in stable geostationary orbit.
TBF, he potentially does have a point...
In other (much smaller beer) news, AVN has very recently decided to switch off service to all the remaining few thousand "direct to premises" customers as provisioned originally by BBB in the UK & France over. AVN has immediate plans to try and get these serviced by Bentley Walker/FreedomSat.
Why? Because AVN finally spotted that BBB has over the last 6 months been running a very aggressive marketing campaign aimed at migrating all its AVN users over to Eutelsat Konnect and so causing a massively increased churn - which is presumably in breach of contract. Take a look at the apologetic "service update" plastered all over BBB's website at https://bigblu.co.uk
6th/august. Is this a second delay to this launch?
Thanks for the knowledge Cheap
Launch is delayed to 6th of August.
Launching tomorrow I'm guessing? Being made in Germany I have great faith it will be a successful launch.
When you see Ariane 5 being prepared to launch Hylas #3 and then look at the sp, it seems inconceivable the two are related to the same company. Technically Avanti have a perfect record that would be envy of the world , yet the share price is in pennies instead of the anticipated £23 following the perfect #1 launch.
I think back to Facebook trying to use us without spending any money. We told them to clear off , and they produced their own satellite which never reached orbit! I agreed with our stance at the time but was that the means of getting Africans to shell out for broadband? If we given into facebook but restricted their access to #1 alone, would there have been huge profits from the following launches? Who knows? Facebook Zucks! He could have bought Avanti for less than his outlay , or did he get it for free?
Ever lower
Looks like s delay:-

Well this share can't go down much more, but if Hylas 3 works out it could go up a lot more,
i know its wishful thinking but may of us here are living in hope.
When Hylas 4 launched unfortunately the sp dropped to my surprise, but who's to say
this next launch won't be different.?
Avanti seem to be chasing the right markets lately so it could lead to a more positive outcome.
antimidas , sounds like your money is still in place - so why not rename yourself to antemidas - think back to the excitement leading up to Hylas #1 launch - Hylas #3 should be much more exciting and the prospects simply have to be much better. First time round the price drop was incredible. It will be just as incredible if the sp does the unexpected and reverses our fortunes? Antemidas sounds good.
Best of luck, Nutjob #2
Haven't looked in on this board for a number of months as I have written off my investment. It is somewhat comforting to see the same old nutjobs still peddling their fantasies. Plus ca change.
the chances are slim but we all live in hope.
Its really a question of whether or not it will survive in its present form. I've seen so many of these Telecos taken out by the bond holders leaving PIs with nothing
I don't expect the sp will be improved soon until the debt has resolved. AVN must show first their revenue is worth for their creditors not to pull the plug.
