Tomorrow at noon. Hant's it doesn't need to be in line to make a big splash - just superior to the alternatives, preferably by a material margin. It is difficult for it not to be off the back of the fact that a superlative Elisa and a cracking lab sensitivity result show that the initial study was no fluke.
My prediction is that it will
- have materially better specificity (close to 100) and sensitivity (95 per cent plus) than competitors could put out on the same kinds of CT value.
- all the additional known advantages of affimers - notably better batch consistency and better speed and cost of production, IP and therefore no competition for supply
Of course we could all be wrong and only get the Financials plus what’s in the pipeline with AS merely saying CV is still being finalised, given this is largely out of his hands plus we know what the Spanish are like for time keeping !
SageTrade, you clearly haven't read my previous posts on here ref. the rampers & derampers, the former of which will undoubtedly tell you that I am 'anything but' a member of the "happy clappy brigade". You though, I do see (consistently over the past year) as one of the former. Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right...............but not a happy clapper.
Time for people to relax and accept we're bottom of the food chain. You either believe the sp will increase from here or otherwise and act accordingly. PI's getting frustrated is part of the course, go check EUA out! And guess work around whether there'll be an intraday RNS is a flip of a coin stuff. We'll hear soon enough and as others have said, a bit of patience required. Looking forward to the presentation, gla.
PJT - an agenda of having a non - emotional relationship with my investments and holding BOD's to account for their statements? Yes, correct.
FWIW, I still believe Al will deliver, otherwise I wouldn't be here - but patience is definitely wearing thin. You continue with the happy clappy brigade awaiting your fallacious intra day RNS to catch out those nasty trader types.
Haha you melt what is my agenda?
craiga24, of course you agree with SafeTrade - but only because you both have the same highly transparent agendas.
There's as much chance for an intra day RNS as there is an opening RNS. Why?
Because results could land with Avacta at any time and the CV data should be relatively straight forward to analyse, preparing an RNS shouldn't take too long either.
Companies can always buy themselves time by using the 'we are analysing the results' excuse but I think Alistair will be wanting these results out to market as soon as he can, hence why imo the chances of an intra day RNS are higher.
Allot of PIs will be pulling the pin if they don't see any news by close tomorrow
I guess I’m too old or you youngsters are too young to remember the 145p to 98p drop we experienced after a presentation last summer.
I agree with Sage my gut tells me it wont be intraday and also agree that a "its coming soon" on Thursday with nothing else will not be good enough anymore.
I was really expecting it would be this morning and as I am sure many are it is frustrating trying to work out AS timelines but I still have faith that one morning this week there will be a (relevant) red dot.
Spot on Hants - the blind naivety of some is mind boggling.
TSSZ, CE marking is a self certification process. What we are looking for is results from the full scale CV. We can't really'fail' this as such. However, the market will want to see results in line with the initial data we have already been given.
I disagree this would be released 'immediately.' They're not just going to be handed a post it note which say, "Hi Al, 96.7/100, cheers!"
Avacta will want to review the data throroughly, then there's the time required to prepare an RNS. It takes time to write an RNS, because companies need to be extremely careful in terms of what is said, the wording used, and how the market could interpret it.
For all we know, Avacta could have received the data last week. No RNS doesn't mean they haven't got it.
Tony - I’d usually agree but given we are now approaching end of April, there is nothing he can say (that doesn’t need to be RNS’d) that will suffice IMO.
Any “test progressing as planned” “we will update the market in coming weeks” etc etc etc is BS and not good enough now.
I have always felt that a CE intra day RNS is far more likely that an 0700 offering. Those dealing with the application work 'office hours' and notification will almost certainly arrive within that time period.
Dr Al doesn’t do Investor Presentations unless there is something good to say. SP should rise on anticipation. GLA
Lol...you think he’s going to announce “big orders from around the world” in a presentation?
If you don’t even understand the rules of the market then probably not worth engaging in a debate pal.
“With or without the CE” - if Avacta don’t CE mark their test from here, then the company and the board will have lost any and all integrity and the share price will plummet - I have full faith they will, but your statement is moronic on every level.
the CE approval news is controlled by a third party, trust me as soon as AVCT gets the news they will immediately release it.
Hence the intra day rns
Also after every presentation done by the CEO, the share price has always gone up big, this time round i am sure it will do the same from the big orders from around the world, which will still buy AVCT products with or without the CE
Intra day is not likely. This is nonsense spin.
It’s possible, but unlikely.
PI’s are rightfully getting frustrated (again) due to the CEO’s repeated inability to keep to a timeline or the statements that come out of his own mouth.
It is most likely that the rns or news will come in a intra day rns, pI’s who want to play the system, let them
Coz when the news drops Avct will rocket and they will all be caught out and they will want to buy back, but they can’t coz they will get shafted by the MM
I have a big holding here and I am super confidence that when the news drops we will see a SP close to 400p
So to play safe I never sell any shares, but I always top up with every drop to buy more
Be confident in what your investing in, otherwise sell and go away
Pay day is very close for those who have been here from the beginning
Happy days
