“ as i've said before if MCAP was £50m i'd say it's about right for the level of risk.”
So what we raised in cash.
Mate you really don’t help yourself do you.
Grumpy today.
Timster - correct. One makes and sells tests.
Our test vs your test aside...... you really need to consider the fact that AVCT may never get a commercial test to market.
Yes Mologic are looking to develop a test that can sell to lower income countries as cheap as possible. They have set up a separate non commercial enterprise Global Access Diagnostics with 40m per year capacity. GAD will satisfy the low income market. Gates have just made over $20m donation to help fund it. What ODX have is the same tech with the ability to commercialise in their own brand to more suitable markets for commercial opportunity.
Affimers have never led to a commercial test and it is clear from AS comments that sensitivity is a problem. If all other tests have the same problem, AVCT may be ok, but if they cant get a sensitive enough test and others can, then the test will never get off the ground. It's clear despite the testing shortfall that regulators are not prepared to rush through tests, and the fact that affimers are an unknown quantity isn't going to help.
I don't really care what people choose to believe, as i've said before if MCAP was £50m i'd say it's about right for the level of risk. This is priced with 90% chance of success, where in reality i would say its more like 25% max. I hope for your sakes they do pull it off, but i think it's starting to look less likely.
Give him a break hes really a charitable guy and not in it for the profit luckily.
Or could it be that Mologic are not greedy capitalists that have a primary objective of maximising their wealth out of this pandemic ........
..........Mologic are a dark horse here because they have a fantastic team of capable experts driven by tackling the pandemic and providing solutions, and not by profit.
oh dear, do we have to?
there really is no competition between ODX and Avacta, totally different in what they do.
Yep, definitely grumpy.
Grumpy - not really. Topped up at a very decent price, finally convinced me to sell another stock i was hoping to hold onto.
Take a good look at it because that 15% drop over there will look like a feather floating down from the top of a building compared to what it will look like here when AS has to come clean that they can't produce a test up to the required standard.
Callum - not a cross ramp. Just fact, i don't care if anyone here buys over there or not. Perspective regarding what it actually takes to get a quality test to market. Mologic expect to CE mark any day, Avacta haven't even got a test that they are confident enough to put into clinical validation yet. Don't worry though, AS put CONDOR in an RNS.
Hes not concerned with any loss on odx as he is giving away his complete holding to charity when they start manufacturing for avacta. very charitable chap lol
ODX need Avacta to add them as a manufacturer to Holy Grail.
Callum, it’s a 17% loss at present. Not looking good for odx.
The most embarrassing cross ramp I have seen on this board in weeks MerchantBanker! Perhaps you should save the ramping for ODX board to help recover your 15% Loss today?
Merchant. Delighted you popped up. Can feel those gritted teeth through your post. :)
Odx.... ouch
Oh dear, someone's grumpy
Thanks for the awakening Arbitrage. A poor day all over the markets, ODX getting hammered massively oversold and without good reason. At least ODX have actual products that can turn into sales and profit eventually. It just shows having a potential test and actually getting it commercialized and then seeing financial impact isn't straightforward. Especially if you don't have a test.
Mologic Antigen test is just days away from being CE marked. It will be the first available Antigen test in the UK by the looks of it. Mologic have proven success in delivering tests. I would rather have 1 bad day over there now because of impatient traders that rather have hyped up promises to suite their trades than an actual credible business plan, than sit here praying that somehow AVCT can pull off a test. I finally managed to check out the Q&A here last night, didn't do anything other than confirm my suspicions this is all smoke and mirrors and there will never be a test on the market. At least AS has a new house, perhaps he will invite all his shareholders round for a summer bbq next year to apologize.
And by the way the difference with ODX tech transfer is they are doing tech transfer after the product is approved, not before.
On the ODX board where I would prefer he stayed. Would be good if you could join him.
Where is merchant banker when you fancy saying hi! ;)
Golferboy, here's some facts as you requested:
Fact Number 1 - Yesterday you stated on the ODX board, "120 more likely than 75p with all that is coming."
Fact Number 2 - Less than 24 hours later it hit 71!
FACT!
Absolutely bricking it, who wouldn’t be concerned about a tiny competitor turning up 4 months later when the demand will be far greater than any individual company could ever dream of meeting? Losing sleep and hair here, have some sympathy.
I think you guys are more worried about the Mologic test coming along than you would like to admit.
The MD of ODX has stated twice now that he could see production of this by xmas, so tech transfer may not take too long.
Of course you will all jump on me, but, its just a consideration.
How long has AVCT tech transfer taken so far. Still no news. And that has you all more than a little worried.
So, go on start jumping. But please provide some actual facts, and not just attack my golf handicap, which I have never posted.
Oh, and anti body tests are not 'useless'
I agree AVCT's test will be brilliant when it arrives.
We have no argument there.
Its just when.
I have my opinion, you have yours.
Enjoy your day
I'm off to play golf now, beautiful day outside.
Vegas.
ATM ODX down 12%
AVCT with no RNS down 4% and all yesterdays gains due to the interview gone.
I bought ODX in the 50's and am well up.
If I had bought AVCT on the same day I would be 10% down.
Thanks for your concern over my financial well being.
See you in January
Go figure.
Vegas, I wouldn't wish that on mu worst enemy!
I think that ODXs small manufacturing quota are taken with current commitments.
The rns mentions mologic everywhere except in reference to possible expansion for AN antigen test, if they ramp up production at Alva I really do think it will be for Avacta.
Not that it matters to us, and I certainly wont bet all my Avacta shares that they will.
Don’t worry, no one believed it Doh
Odx down 18% maybe golferboy will sell and come here before Jan haha
Pfffft, after all the covidiots that have littered this board? Balls to them. Anyway, it’s just a delay, they’ll just have to wait longer
Yep, as speculated previously. If the gov is procuring capacity from BIVDA for you, any need odx....? Not really. Not in those numbers anyway.
Very telling avscta entered talks with odx and no agreement.
