11.8 over par ... Avacta have a big following , they also have potentially great products .But they are taking longer than promised or expected .You either accept that or you dont . That's not deramping. Let's see if the product comes out to market before the 31st of december .If it does then great but q121 is likely now as I suggested before .I hope your expectations are better than your golf handicap .You sound like a bit of a hacker to me with that handicap . I dont converse with any golfers who arent single figures .Filtered .

Good point Doh, it was a schoolboy error to try and put two govts links together to provided an informed view that clinical validation might be faster than someone’s completely unqualified opinion that validation takes many months.
Many months it is then. I’ll ignore any useful information and the information that we’ve been given by the CEO and stick with that instead. Another mystery solved by pointless inaccurate speculation, thanks all.
So we have 3.
4&5?
PL
That's a new link on me.
I've not seen that one before.
Never ever.
Or at least, not in the last five minutes.
Can’t believe I got away with posting the same thing twice

Good stuff.
Thanks.
I can have a go...

Phase 3 requires 4000 tests. Sir Al has told us that they’re producing 4,000 tests for validation.

Innova completed phase 2 end of August, last week they received a contract, so that’s 7 weeks and that’s a maximum given the Falcon set up that’s now in place.
Alistair Smith recently said that validation will be in the 4th quarter.....depending on samples (words to that effect). This means that an RNS announcing pilot production of the 10K has to land by mid-November as Myles McNulty suggested 2 to 4 weeks for validation.
"The time for validation of the LFD will be faster than 3 months and counting."
I hope so. Presumably you have concrete examples of this faster process?
TBH I am aware I am sounding more and more like MFM every day!! And it annoys the hell out of me!!!
But, we are where we are - we still have no idea about when and how our tests can come to market. Big Al cannot give us concrete timelines for his own product.
Genuinely all credit to those that can stand firm amidst this frustration and have sound belief in thier knowledge of the future. I am still balls deep here and will stick to my plan in staying as deep as I dare, whilst the wait goes on. But, unlike alot of the rampers on here, I wont claim I can see the future.
Cool Amateur, enjoy. Where did you fly from? Any signs of Covid testing stations at the airport?
Not a useful example. When did the actual validation start? It says they were beginning work, but not that validation was starting. Anyone got any concrete examples of how long validation takes, not how long it takes to be involved in condor. Condor are now up and running, so no information can be gleaned from anything to date. The time for validation of the LFD will be faster than 3 months and counting.
zz........just on Norwegian.com flight. free WiFi. 3 hours to kill
Amateur invest how's Stockholm going? Surely more interesting than posting here??
Heres an example.
RNS dated 22nd July 2020
Avacta Group plc (AIM: AVCT), the developer of Affimer® biotherapeutics and reagents, is pleased to announce that it has begun work with
t h e UK government's CONDOR programme to evaluate and clinically validate the high throughput COVID-19 bead-assisted mass
spectrometry ("BAMS
TM") laboratory assay developed with Adeptrix (Beverly, MA, USA)
3 months and counting
‘validation takes many months’. Could you provide some concrete examples please?
As for ncyt running amok, I’d hate to throw in some facts to ruin your miserable story, but the total number of tests conducted so far in all of 2020 by ALL providers added together is fewer than the number of tests that will be carried in ONE WEEK of mass testing. Tortoise and hare.

Amateur. Invest , we will not see the products out into the market until q1 21 at the earliest. All of the promised timeframes for the products have not been met .We were told " summer " .We are now almost in November and still dont even have a prototype to be validated . A lot of people believed ( due to promises made ) that the lfd would be in the public domain now . We are still a long way off as validation takes many months . All evidence seems to support that the use of saliva to accurately detect covid 19 is not as straightforward as we were led to believe .Had that been the case and bearing in mind that Cytiva were handed the technological transfer in April , we would have been a lot further down the line now .Instead , the likes of NCYT have been able to frankly run amok .A look at their current share price proves that . Be careful what you believe . Good science is one thing , but a validated product is another .
Must be us, is it? Or may be not, nah it's us oh wait we don't have a test yet, it's us though, or not, might be us though!
Not sure, could be months or years, ah well, I’m still happy holding. Sir Al seems to think it’ll be done in Q4, but what does he know?
From 7/8/20 RNS;
'Avacta and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine collaborate to clinically validate saliva-based rapid coronavirus test being developed with Cytiva'
Surely it can't take that long. This is not a drugs trial. Come on AVCT, don't miss the opportunity. GLA
both BAMS and LFD need clinical validation. How long.does this process take? several weeks into months I would guess ?
"Q11: Please could you give a full update on where the company and CONDOR are at with both the BAMS test and LFD? Timelines thus far have been very woolly and non-specific, which whilst I understand to a degree, is very and increasingly frustrating for investors who were expecting a summer launch. BAMS in particular seems to have dropped off the face of the earth since the July RNS update. Could you also confirm whether Avacta are under NDA from UK government with regard to price sensitive information such as LFT performance data?
Avacta is working with UK government programmes, as well as having now also put in place its own clinical and commercial collaborations, to evaluate and clinically validate the high throughput COVID-19 bead-assisted mass spectrometry (BAMS) laboratory assay developed with Adeptrix for CE marking as a professional use diagnostic test. The Company is aiming to have completed its initial clinical evaluation in the next few weeks and will then update shareholders on the timeline and route to market for the test in as much detail as commercial confidentiality will allow. The Company has also stated that it will provide the next update to the market on the lateral flow test, including a timeline to clinical validation and CE marking, when the first pilot batch goes into production."
