To be fair- 500k it’s less than his original holding 12 months ago. Alistair already had this invested prior to the huge rises in Sp.
There’s no profit for him here yet... clearly!
He will only gain when he takes his original investment and the profit on top. Until then it’s just created share value!
iPhoneiTrade predicts SP -20% tomorrow. Is this likely to be any more accurate than his 17 October prediction for +20% the next trading day?? [Question to iPhone: are you 'still in the game' - short AVCT or looking to re-enter lower?]
iPhone, 17 October:
" ... BBI and Abbi are the two manufacturers linked to AVCT. There is no one else. Both bbi and Abi are in the ukrtc for the antibody test LFT. These two will manufacture AVCT's test too as they have the capacity and are proven. ODX have not confirmed it but AVCT may also add ODX to manufacture for them in the future. Boris also talked about manufacturing in the UK. Meaning, he will be using BBI from Wales, Abbi from England and ODX from Scotland. The reason i said its AVCT 100% is because it is. You have to join the dots. Gov cannot announce anything before AVCT inform the markets. AVCT will RNS it next week before the trial starts. After the trial, no need for approvals etc. Gov didn't need approvals to order from Abbott, Roche etc. They desperate and will just buy from AVCT. Is this does not do 20%+ on Monday, i will leave this game. Just watch the scramble to get in ... "
Assets in the ground are useless unless you have a heavyweight miner to JV (THIRD PARTY) with you and get it out of the ground. Just like AVCT have Affimers but they are worth a lot less in the LFT world unless you have a heavyweight to turn Affimers into a LFT and provide mass production capacity. Funnily enough it is all third parties we are waiting on to get this into production at scale.
Not as different as you think eh?
NOt to mention the value of the business long run isn't in a Covid LFT, this is just a bonus. The therapeutics will be the long term value add!
The people peed off here were the ones chasing Covid rainbows, got spiked at £2....moaned about the placing as that stopped them making their 50000% in a day profit and now cant bare to wait and have no idea what the long term vision of this business is.
Too many green boxes to follow this properly but I can say without hesitation that Jaylarc, you're spot-on with the "knobhead" comment!
IPIT no it hasnt made any difference, forthcoming news good or bad will.
Maybe time for you to take your own recently dished out advice.

Why don'y you sell and f off then?
You don't seem happy here. You can't be under water. Sell up and leave you idiot
I can't believe some of you are saying this has made no impact on avct.
anyway, GLA.

GGP have assets in the ground. You can't compare the two.
Yes, i am invested. The news i was expecting this time was something that will finally take AVCT to the next level. Not bring it down. Esp by the director himself.
What he's done today told us the SP will not be going up anytime soon. Anyone can tell you that and time will prove it to you. What i say here makes little to no impact on the SP. The damaged was done by the director. 190 to 169
IPIT Im happy to listen to any debates around Avacta but your spouting complete ****e mate.
Join Global and sell your fantasy shares, your a total knobhead.
Axe you are a Sid g.t! Grow a pair and understand that people have to live. If he is getting stick from his Mrs about moving don't you think he will perform better if they move? If you are day trading then hard luck. This company is about the long-term. Filtered.
No Director will give a second thought to the concerns of minor shareholders who likewise only hang around in an attempt to make a quick buck. We’ve been advised the reason why he sold and anyone who’s bought an expensive property will know a Vendor just won’t wait for his cash, he will usually set the deadline, so AS will have sold to meet that date. Provided he can’t be accused of insider trading he can do what he likes with his shares & if that upsets some, well tough just move on.
If we got great news then all will be forgotten but unfortunately too often AVCT just doesn't deliver. I'm hoping for a great RNS to cover the shambles from today otherwise watch the sp trickle down to £1.50 and below
My take is it's not s house
It's the freehold of the Wetherby whaler
This is all about the house - To be honest he should not have the time at the moment to be buying houses, I am sure he already has one!" He should be spending his time bringing products to market!
If you guys aren't happy just SELL!!!!!!Don't keep harping on about the house purchase. It's been said a hundred times since the RNS..Directors cannot sell if bad news is about the be released!!!!!!!!!! There are thousands of other shares out there if you're not happy here!!!!!
Took the words out of my mouth DOH...this was 14p in March so over a 1000% rise. Tell me why different rules apply?
This was not a business created to make Covid LFT's! I didn't invest here for a quick Covid buck like may of the moaners!
If there is no LFT (which I think is very very unlikely) then this whole process has proved Affimers work in so many situations. Deepverge / Adeptrix / ELISA....
Our large pharma partners are expanding their contracts with AVCT - would they do that if the business was a load of rubbish?
We raised £40m of which most is going into therapeutics not diagnostics - what does that say?
Everyone needs to look a lot wider than the LFT and you probably need to do a little more homework!
iPhone were you ever in?
You only got in last week didn't you iphone?
sorry, antigen.
we need to know if he has a test that works and its % sensitivity and specificity.
we need to know when the test will be ready. If i don't get that by early next week, i'm out of avct
There could equally be another view on this. He wants to buy dream home - once in a lifetime home suddenly on the market - one that he plans to live out retirement in. Hasn’t got the funds in the bank for deposit - Banks require probably 40% deposit on properties at the higher end of the market given that if Covid causes a housing price collapse Banks will suffer as a lot of their assets are sitting in property prices (have you seen the bank shares prices?). I doubt an underwriter would be able to place value on his other Avacta shares as collateral. Perhaps he had no other option to raise funds and in the grander scheme of things the loss of potential income is pointless given the potent value he still has left.
I do think there are a number of OTHER positive indicators eg those who have large stakes (including all the staff share options) not to mention the other partners at risk eg manufacturing partners etc would indicate this is doable. I’m sure AS was advised on possible market interpretation and impact and I agree the timing kind of sucks... especially with BAMS RNS imminent and all the questions from presentation not yet answered etc... BUT he would be probably lose a HUGE amount more than he has gained today if there was an increased likelihood of bad news. So in that respect I agree with other researched investors. Bottom line if he needed funds for personal reasons I feel that it may be very unfair of PIs to string him up as the ability for Avacta to deliver HAS to be unchanged otherwise it would be insider trading.

When you deliver for shareholders, they don't care if you sell some of your shares.
This man has not delivered anything. Look at NCYT. Look at ORPH.
AVCT is still about jam tomorrow. The man is paid to keep the SP up (gets his bonuses for every month the sp is above a certain % i think). That's why we get ramp after ramp day in day out and no product here.
There is not test. But they have made you believe its almost here for 8 months.
GGP has gone from 2p to 26p. Who cares if the director sells after 1000 % increase.
By the way, GDR dropped today and they have validated a saliva poc test. Do you know why it dropped? Because it won't be ready till early next year. The vaccine is closer and the need for antibody test may not be 20% as much as it is now.
Although cautious the company isn't as good as first thought so sold down a lot now only hold a small amount just to let it ride and see where this goes
Na haven't sold all of it just kept a small amount now
The other potential positive is that the share merry-go-round this afternoon will presumably have got a fair few share holders out who wanted to either protect their profits an/ or some who's risk appetite was breached. These have been replaced by buyers in and around the current SP which in my logic means we will have less sellers now at this level as the new share holders will look to higher prices before deciding when to exit. Which in turn leads to a floor under the current SP and ipso facto, therefore with less sellers, new buyers will have to pay higher prices from here...…..
If the share price drops on bad news after selling he would be accused of insider trading. If it goes up because of good news after selling he wouldn’t. He is just a person who needs money, like us all. He needs a new house. There is no point to any of this if there is no quality of life. He still has the majority of his shares that he had kept and must feel confident they will be enough to make him more money. If he never sells his shares and takes some profits for his family what is the point in it all?
Iphonetrade has got a point its nasty how AVCT is now falling behind. Don't listen to the LTH's they all joined in at the classic 40p so anyone buying now now is going to get into a bear trap. Don't waste your money on this anymore.
