Yes of course we have too by law and have been doing so since last spring - appreciate some are not, but it’s not my business to comment further on this.
I am absolutely genuinely interested EGTP, because its exactly as a business your action plan going forward, is of keen interest to me.
If a customer has proved positive a few days before arrival, will you refund their money? (or is this something a holiday insurance would cover, or you would expect to cover?)
Should have added we had pre ordered 50000 from Medusa-19 last spring for this exact purpose - but we all know the story about that !
Slinky, watch White House Farm on Netflix. There’s always something happening in Essex!
Wyndrum the government won’t do that because it knows deep down it’s not the answer, and if the government won’t provide free LFT tests, and we can buy the Avacta tests (or a better test) economically we will buy 1000’s and mail them out free of charge before the customer is due to travel
If this is the requirement to continue operating !
I rest my case - DYOR
Or you could just be like Southend Adventure Island and not care!

EGTP, if the govt allows your business to open subject to vaccine passport, will you insist on your customers paying for a test as well, or would you foot the bill of them having a test, and if they had a test 3 days before arriving and were tested positive would you refund their money?
Yes thankyou wyndrum I’m fully aware our populist government just want to deliver the music people want to hear
I’m just from the land of reality, so really hoping my holiday rentals business can reopen without further interruptions this Autumn which I know will not happen without a comprehensive antigen testing system in place
EGTP, you are thinking from the point of view of society while govt's only care about their respective health systems.
All that matters is that the health systems are not over run. Peoples well being and any other consideration is completely secondary.
If you have had the vaccine the chance of hospitalisation are now remarkably low. And that's the ball game.
Yes it’s just a Reus to buy the government and antigen tests more time, and to think they even have the Audacity to propose to host the European Championships this summer with presume visitors from abroad accepted on vaccine passports only ?
Have to be kidding, once again why are we locked down ?
Is it because we need to just vaccinate everyone in the Uk at least once a year ?
Or because we simply don’t know who is carrying the virus without symptoms ?
DYOR
Exactly, the public are , imo , deliberately being allowed to misunderstand the vaccine benefits.
The continual use of the word immune by the authorities doesn't help.
I don't want my family sat on a plane next to someone who's more likely to survive the virus. I want them sat next to someone who hasn't got the virus.
Antigen
Agree EGPT, at the moment still awaiting data, however quick 'duckduckgo' search - "It is believed the higher the level of exposure to droplets and aerosols from an infected person, the more aggressive the illness. If vaccinated people don’t develop symptoms, then the chance of it spreading via coughing and spluttering, where droplets containing high amounts of the virus are expelled into the air, will be greatly reduced." As stated too early to tell, but I for one am desperate for some sun!
i find it simply bewildering that any country could propose to accept people on Vaccine passports, this is the just the equivalent of an anti-body rest - what does this prove in terms being sure the infection is not being spread ? Nothing !!

The European Commission will present a draft digital vaccine passport.
Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced that in March she will present a passport attesting to a vaccination or a negative test for Covid-19. ” This month we will present a legislative proposal for a ‘Digital Green Pass’“, With the objective of”gradually allow Europeans to move safely within or outside the EU, for work or tourism Von der Leyen said on Twitter.
All the U.K. press is referring to this as a “vaccination passport” but of course once totally reliable antigen testing is introduced, this will be an acceptable alternative. It’s just another indication that the Gov agenda is to drive as many people towards getting the jab as possible before mentioning the testing option.
(I also love the delicious irony of them calling it a “green” pass when it will result in everyone taking to the skies again. Not sure Greta Thunberg would approve.)
