I am sorry to hear that. Reminder that its not all about the money.
We haven't invested in land mines so hopefully these companies will help
I have had 4 elderly relatives who went into hospital. 3 died of hospital acquired infections.
When you go in to visit, you say ‘at least you’re in the right place’. Liar.
Hospital is the last place you want to be if you are weak and ill.
Now I'm thinking I should have topped up
There’s a lot of potential and this could be the start of a beautiful relationship between Awacta and Gerry’s sh.tty box. Thanks again RD, timed it well :-) News tomorrow? :-D
I am seeing these sensors on every hospital or even every ward, every care home etc looking for Covid, flu, norovirus, MRSA, clostridium- any public health issue. Any signs, simple LFT checks will allow the contagion to be isolated.
Hospitals and care homes would be safer. Hospital acquired infections could become a thing of the past.
The move onto cruise ships, work places etc.
If have 5 beans and I give you 2 beans....
It's chalk and cheese imo.
I don’t think anyone is saying revenues are equivalent, more looking at growth of share price and total investment.
Both companies should do well.
No chance can Integumen generate anything close to the revenues AVCT are likely to achieve.
I guess that I am.also thinking of their chances of becoming a £300M MKT cap in the short term at least at least matches Avacta of becoming £3.6B.
Looking at what is happening in terms of outbreaks I think their ability to send up early warning makes sense - likely to be less competive market and the revenue will be reoccuring in the long run.
Let's say Bristol sewage works has alarm go off you could immediately warn high risks groups to shelter and then begin localises testing. Without Skin you are two weeks behind the curve.
This is why I like the sleepydave league table - interesting to watch me get it so badly wrong
My investment ratio AVCT:SKIN:MWG is 100:4:2. Does that sound about right?
CS - I assume people want to ride the price increase that would result from successful product launch with AVCT and then errr dump it.. :-)
by cloth?
Pl75 - I am touched
I bought some today, the cash I had lined up for a top up here went there. Your earlier post convinced me. I think you’re right, the sh.tty news is more likely to have a larger percentage impact there. Then I can have a bigger top up here :-)
RichKen - are you in as well - can I ask if not, why not. Just worried I'm missing something
Gerry knows the definition of ‘shortly’. That’s what sold it for me... 10 mins in

That said, he said 2 weeks ago that shortly meant 2 weeks. The curse of mentioning timeframes... we should get some news on this collaboration imminently.
SKIN market cap is < £30M. Avacta at £365M.
Which one doubles on that news....
The level 3 lab results are due back imminently according to his recent interview, with prototypes early September.

Given Trumps speech last night I would have thought care homes would be an urgent target. Almost negligent not having a system that would give automatic warning that this is capable of - could include flu and noravirus which are also potential killers.
Wonder what it would cost ?
There is an excellent piece on the Integumen website from their COO, Fin Murray.
He talks about the Remote Automated Water test and how they produce the silicon wafers in Ireland and transfer them to their lab in York, where they are coated with pathogen binding receptors.
They have links with Aberdeen Uni for C19 samples.
They are expecting tests to happen this summer in both the UK and US and are talking to partners in the cruise industry.
In the meantime, Modern Water are reengineering their waste water monitoring solutions and they have partners to manufacture across four continents.
All sounds very well planned to me.
All the best.
