Bottomzup, last week when you were calling us idiots you went on to say this is like a chat room, now your not Invested why are you here?
Do you need the company are you lonely?
Anyone going to remove the elephant turd from the room?
I added the funds to my long term holding in Dev Clever, two hours later, for the reasons I`ve set out earlier, my best investment in 15 years which I keep adding on the dips.
AVCT is now in an uncertainty stage, if, when, whether they get some big contracts, and more importantly how much money they can make, and how long it will take.
So my decision was to add the funds elsewhere, I bought at 128p, doubled my money and thats good enough for me.
Move the funds on to the next one that has the most attractive trade set up.
You mentioned doubling your money here recently. Was it over a number of trades Bottomzup?
Thanks for the detail, so you are 100% out and that's it now? or are you looking to get back in if the SP action suggest a rise?
Just to add wyndrum, the sp was going up to resistance on the chart as the presentation was getting underway, so with the `nothing new` presentation it was always going to trigger the sellers to take their beans off the table.
One day Sir Al will deliver a test and all the jokers here will be silenced.
Just not today!
We sit and wait!!
And wait!!!
wyndrum, I made the call the other day on the RNS announcing the final results date, along with the accompanying presentation. I knew it was 9 calender days away, 7 trading days, and as the sp was at resistance my experience told me that there would be impatient sellers, so I sold with them.
I`m playing the psychology of the market, not the company.
I was quick enough to buy back in when the sp fell to the rising trend line, job done, increased my holding, so derisked.
Then, the Clinical Validation RNS lands, happy days, an RNS like that is always going to create a spike.
So I now know that the presentation is NOT going to release any new news, because its already been released. Its just going to be details that are already in the public domain.
I bought back in at 229p because that was the rising trend line, and I knew that some punters would be buying in on anticipation of something new in the presentation, which was never going to happen. Because if they had something extra new to announce they would have to have released it before the presentation.
I played the `dumb` money coming in on hope, and sold with all the rest of the traders when it fizzled out!
Bottmzup, what do you think the SP will be at if the cancer delivery trials and all of the other therapeutics trials turn out as is hoped? You seem solely focused on the LFT for reasons known to yourself - and us.
Unfortunately, I can't help you if you're disappointed with a one year turn-around time for the best-in-market LFT test during a pandemic with no direct company experience in the field previous to the pandemic.
Just take a back step, best in class test (I say this until I see something that shows me otherwise!) headed by little old Avacta. Novo Nordisk (to name one of the biggest fish) have a MCap of just shy of 171Billion USD. AVCT's is 843m USD. If AVCT have taken so long then why aren't there already much better tests in market than we are about to release within weeks?
Well bottomsup I'm a a richer plant post for having chosen to invest here whilst you are most likely here for social interaction. Probably best to leave it there have your fun only you know why you do it I suspect many do not care.
Oops, sorry Tyche. That is meant for BU.
@tyche, the market doesn't agree with you.
April 23 2020 78p
April 23 2021 £2.36
Come back in December and we can compare again.
Stick to your charts- what a load of tosh that is
OK BU, but whats any of that got to do with the chart?
I ask because the whole point is you don't need to know anything about the company and what its doing to decide the likeliest movement in the stock.
You made a good call the other day just on the technicals, now you seem to be letting your FA view take precedence? I ask because the fundamentals were pretty much the same when you bought the share recently weren't they?
tyche, why does the market agree with me then?
The market doesn`t lie....on any shareprice, it ALWAYS reflects the sentiment and the psychology of the masses.
So why isn`t the share price over 300p today, after the presentation?
Because there is still `uncertainty`...the biggest word on the stockmarket.
Is it overpriced at £600m? What money is going to be coming in soon? How much are they continuing to spend on R&D?
All these questions are not answered...yet!
Thats why the sp is not on the way to the moon!
Now laugh that off!
Bottomsup. You should consider doing stand up. One of the funniest views I've ever come across
Yes the assumption is they will be earning from the LFD and their other offerings and so cash calls are nothing that Avacta will need to be involved in probably ever. Great news given its prospects.
Wyndrum, at last a comprehensive look at the situation. Yes, with a fair wind and some new news this one could be a good bit higher. A lot of money has been spent on development through the out door, and will continue to be, but income through the other in door is yet to present itself.
The share price is now in a stagnant, undecided level. Nobody knows when/if all the work will pay off.
A lot of the `priced in` factor is down to the cancer chemo science and technology, diagnostics...whatever you want to call it, because thats the big one!
The LFT stuff is not going to generate massive revenues in my view, its trying to battle on too many fronts of competition, vaccines, diminishing figures of doom due to lockdowns, and plenty of other technologies battling against the virus.
I just think its a bit late for the LFT scenario to reap rewards, 3 months ago yes, but with the UK and other Govt`s already using Chinese ones its a bit of a lost cause now.
'Funded for therapeutics to 2023'
I think its even better than that. At 5:45 into the presentation he states 'well into 2023' so not just up to the 1st January either, but well beyond.
Apre, its called FREEDOM OF SPEECH! An OPINION! Just because you and pretty much everyone else on here can`t take a balanced view of the situation doesn`t give you or anyone else the right to cancel me, or my opinion.
Its just wokeflake to not accept that others might disagree with you.
Get a backbone a face the other side of the coin with debate, not cancellation or delete!
Ok, at the danger of making myself look a complete tit again …
BU: you said earlier, having doubled your money, sold 100% yesterday. Well assuming you got out very close to the top 160p ish, you would have bought in the first week of feb around 130p?
So you have held the stock for 10 weeks ish?
Where do you see the price in another 10 weeks (end of June)?
I like charts very much and only care about the SP and further, recognise that the SP and the company in question are only distant relatives.
However, given its stayed within a trading range for just over a month with lower highs and higher lows, suggests that when the range is broken it is likely to be explosive.
If we stick to charts I won't "predict" which way it will go" but given the presentations yesterday and news flow all this week as pragmatically and as neutrally as possible, it suggest good news is coming rather than bad.
So I predict that the breakout will be to the upside and it will be dramatic. How long will that be? I don't know but I would guess within 3 weeks.
Based on your previous time holding this stock I don't know why you are quite so outspoken on its (very) short term prospects, particularly as you could buy now and have a stop around 230p if you feel nervous?
So for a 10p risk on the downside you could be looking at a 60-80p gain in the relative near term with further potential way beyond that.
Or have you identified better opportunities in shorter timeframes?
Feck me you’ve just shown how utterly moronic you are now.
Here’s your finances numbnuts! You could also read the prezzo
£40m cash in bank. Funded for therapeutics to 2023.
Other R&D is paid for by big pharma partners.
LFT revenue in a month or so.....
Finances all in hand. So you can feck off now you had your answer.
AVCT are fully funded till 2023 WITHOUT LFT revenues - see presentation the other day.
Gkb, you also said "Yes the DeepVerge test collaboration, I know it's not their test but why not mention what's happening, or is it not worth mentioning? What's happening with that evaluation up at Aberdeen? Last I heard DeepVerge were using Aptamers anyway."
I below quote you a DeepVerge RNS from 17th March 2021
"In addition, under the clinical trial supervision of the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland, 40 subjects, 16 of which were independently confirmed as COVID19 positive with PCR[iii] tests, provided breath samples that were tested on the Microtox® BT nano-optofluidic chip surface with Affimer® reagents ("Avacta Group")[iv] and Optimers ("Aptamer Group")[v] together the ("Binding Agents")."
I'm happy to engage in such conversations as I love to learn as much as possible of the companies I am involved in, I'd advise you doing so too! Anyway, I wish you all the best with your investment here. It's put a lot of people in to a greatly profitable position, I hope you are also one of those. Life changing, hopefully. :)
