It seems all doom and gloom today
I'm sticking to my theory that testing within the travel sector will be huge, it is impossible to social distance in a metal tube in the sky, mask wearing is difficult on long haul flights when people need to eat and keep hydrated
Regardless of what the UK government does travel is worldwide, no country wants to import more cases and variants
It's also confidence that passengers know the stranger their seated next to is not infected
The travel industry is on it's knees, not just airlines but the cruise industry, near me on the river Clyde there are 5 cruise liners docked since the start of this pandemic
The potential for the world's most accurate LFD is massive
MrA. Doesn’t look very relevant to me.
Pippi, the world changes, I don't know what the delays were, technical, political, logistics, access to patients? But at that time I suspect the conversations were that 'if you make it we'll buy it.' hence supply being the constraint.
Now however governments seem to be happy to leave it up to the public, so what happens, is there a market, I don't know if there is a market are tests sufficiently differentiated to let us float to the top, don't know. I always thought there were two levels of test, the 'am I safe to go out in public test, with people I don't know, who will be using the same tests' and the 'am I safe enough to be around a vulnerable loved one test'
There's only one I would trust at this time, the question is can the message be made clear and do most people actually give a monkeys.
Am I disappointed, yes, do I think there's something here in the diagnostics markets yes I do, am I holding on for therapeutics, yes. Do I blame anyone, no, other than portion down, bethell, and bits of the gov, bit I pressed the button knowing that those risks existed.
My sell order is in for Monday these concerned investors know what they are talking about!
Thanks. You’ve said your piece and delivered your predication. If you’re correct, good for you. In the meantime, we have zero interest in antibody tests.
Brilliant, you’ve got rolly, ray, mortgage, IFA and the ex who can’t move on chatting **** on a Saturday morning
Some would call that an echo chamber ;)
BITL, I will leave it there. Just watch it all pan out as I have predicted.
Antibody testing first to support booster campaign
THEN
Big reveal of AffiDX (and Visitect in the USA) when accurate testing is needed to show that people are being hospitalised with flu rather than Covid
Watch FTI miraculously spring into action with wall to wall coverage of a remarkable U.K. test that’s’just as good as PCR.
Bloody criminal that it’s been deliberately kept under wraps for over a year and never been offered as an alternative to vaccination is all I can say.
Oh ok I thought it was a case of "a woman scorned"
After all it's not our fault you sold at a loss
Apologies
Vegas, I’m just pointing out the direction of travel and I’m having the courtesy to do it outside trading hours so that I can’t be accused of affecting the SP. This will all be forgotten by Monday’s open.
Agent - stop annoying the board with your conspiracy theories. Yes, you love antibody testing. We get it.
You’ve sold. Please leave.
Avacta are not making antibody tests AgentB, go back to ODX for your ramping of them
“Antibody testing is an important and evolving element of the UK Government’s strategy to counter the spread of COVID-19 and to help us to better understand the disease. Antibody testing has a key role to play, particularly in surveillance and monitoring vaccine effectiveness. This is an area of huge interest to Ministers.”
You better believe it!
Meanwhile (as predicted) NHS gearing up for increased antibody testing.

The worst part is constantly being misled by AS. June’s presentation was an eye opener but we were already £1.60ish by then. Conifer showed excellent judgement prior to this of course…
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/most-vulnerable-to-be-offered-covid-19-booster-vaccines-from-next-week
“ The JCVI has also advised that the flu and COVID-19 vaccines can be co-administered.”
I will be putting in a freedom of information request to find out where this ****tail was trialled and the results.
Of course demand is the issue. There is no demand for an accurate test that will reveal the hyped- up nature of this pandemic. For that, we need PCR testing ramped up to 40 cycles. Now, after the booster programme has run its course and this year’s flu season is upon us, it will be a different matter entirely. Then, we will need accurate LFTs to prove that people are being hospitalised with flu rather than Covid. After all, having coerced 90% of U.K. adults into taking the jab, we still have to promote its benefits. There you go then, the conspiracy theorist’s view is that it’s still game on for Avacta, but only when the booster is done.
By the way, this week’s DHSC press release informed that people will be given Pfizer/Moderna booster alongside this year’s flu vaccine. Where is the evidence that this is safe?
So reading myles post then demand is the issue...... I though they were going to sell all they could make and supply was the issue.... really hard to understand what’s going on with LFT.
I invested in both LFT and AVA6000 potential.... so I do find the position we are in disappointing
