Hey, the website has changed on the diagnostics part.. Anyone seen it?
What's changed mrspace?
I've made an inquiry about some memorabilia...
Goldtrig,
I trust the way they presented the diagnostics aspect. And how you find the information, much more elaborated and easier to see. It is much user friendlier as I think they expect an influx of visitors. IMHO.
And I am looking forward to news on their Neutralising Therapy, especially now that Pfizer and Astrazeneca seem to have issues lately and Merk failed to deliver one.
"Avacta was able to generate Affimer binders to the SARS-CoV-2 virus within just four weeks of receiving the viral protein, and on 18 June 2020 we announced that collaborative work with the Centre for Virus Research at the University of Glasgow had shown these Affimer proteins prevent infection of human cells by a SARS-CoV-2 model virus, and therefore provide a potential therapy for COVID-19 infection. Work is continuing to further study the way in which the proteins prevent infection and on 29th July we announced an expansion of our partnership with Daewoong Pharmaceutical to to develop stem cell therapies for COVID-19 and future pandemic diseases".
Mr ST strangely enough the ACE2 blocking affimer was also mentioned on the new Avacta pages.
The change of emphasis from selling lft test products to providing reagents is interesting though - but maybe the products page will reappear tomorrow after the cv results are in....
I expect it to reappear imminently. It makes sense for the company to focus on the reagents, as they are the long term USP of the diagnostics side of the business, but the LFT is most certainly going to be on that site soon....
There are two possible reasons for the website changes :
1 - the LFT has failed CV so is being pulled and 'Smith' is hoping that we won't notice it's gone.
or
2 - they are getting ready for an imminent launch.
Which will it be ??????
This will be a huge area for Avacta, HUGE!
Custom Affimer® service
Custom Affimer® reagents can be generated and ready for your lab in just 12-14 weeks!
Very interesting move. Especially before news. The focus on reagent of product is puzzling for sure.
All references to products now gone..
I think you can expect some new pages to appear tomorrow, inclusive of the full CV DETAILS.
TOMORROW IS THE DAY! SLEEP WELL TONIGHT
I think it'll be back to the new look site they seemed to be testing the other day with links to AffiDX. Clearly an oversight on the web admins jumping the gun. That's what it'll look like after CV and product launch
Ndn71,
Me too, but for a different reason. They are for when that dau happens we will no longer read your posts as I am sure you will vanish.
Just spent 15 mins browsing around the new website. It all looks much more professional than before and really well thought through with consistent 'less is more' straightforward messaging. Clearly a lot of effort has gone in rewriting the theraputics pitch, which now feels more like a major company in the making, not just an interesting me too small biotech. Be good to see what they get up to once there are several hundred million cash in the bank. Exciting times ahead for sure.
One way or the the other ST. Either nothing to moan about or the promise of selling out. Count the days...

‘Filter me’
Terrible catchphrase.
Ndn71,
NAaaahhh.. I didn't spend the money on e balloons and party poppers in visain! You don't upset me, as I don't take advice from BB, you see; done "me" research as they say.
ST
Jaylarc,
No way they would have the new website being launched with its full description of the AffiDX before the RNS! But I am sure they were aware we were all talking here about what the website modifications could mean to shareholders. For me, we are close:
New diagnostics website being worked on
Government cancels PCR contracts
Around end of 1st Q CE CV results
Borders to open cannot be dependent on Chinese 50/75% LFT
PCR too expensive and limited by logistics and speed
All important global manufacturers lined up for AVCT
AffiDX achieving best sensitivity and specificity results (based on clinical evaluation)
Too many stars lining up for the coming days.
Good luck all for this week (it would be lovely tomorrow but I have the patience (as Covid is going nowhere without us).
All the best
ST
Ndn71,
Ha ha.. I guess. I was having a pop at Visain (vain) as he sounded a bit negative..but I guess it didn't work. Sorry, my sense of humour is a bit all over the place sometimes ( I don't my Apolonia ref hit a home run either). It is hard sometimes (about 5 languages under my belt (more or less) so I mix things up here and there ref my sense of humour, never mind.
A demain!
