@Eurofox, Very likely it was a false breakout, and we could easily be going sub 200p. I mentioned earlier that the board's decision to buyback share is reeks of a smokescreen. They need to preserve all cash they have. It makes zero business sense to buyback shares in midst of the massive unknowns.
I believe in Aviva, but I am expecting a sub 200 price action. My own top-up target is @160-170. Good luck!
Correct and the resistance is 270 so we should see a new high low
This drop is good - weeding out all those traders on margin
Ok understood cheers DC
If you read my posts it always retraces at support levels 260p and 250p the last time it retreated from the 260p level went down to 221p took a few weeks to get back to 260p going down again once it reached 260p I just thought sentiment had changed on aviva but apparently not
They are not institutional investors the rns you see are the Aviva investment arm using there funds to buy stakes in companies they should be buying back their own shares at these low prices
I got it wrong too! Do you think it has to do with the three RNS's out of three reduction in holdings of ii's?
I added to my core holding of 62500 shares bought 3500 shares at 257p total shares now 66000 shares core holding bought at the peak prices much above 4 pounds so heavily down just shows how volatile this share is down 6p already on top up price 257p just thought sentiment had changed on aviva how wrong was i
I have not sold any yet today Falkland investor though tempted as it continues to slide down over 4 per cent ftse down 1 per cent
I also added 3500 shares at 257p maybe that's the reason it continues to fall sorry guys no more cash left to invest now need to tighten my belt now will have to lay off the bitter today lol
adding at these levels
Now below my sale price of core holding at 253.66 on Wednesday
Good luck karv I went in too early yesterday could have got in cheaper today sentiment has changed completely what a difference a day makes 271p yesterday 254 today I feel it will be a long time before we see 271p again
I am back in good luck all let hope there some good vaccine news soon
March 20 pubs bars restaurants were ordered to close along with massage parlours which are technically illegal but allowed to operate with the tacit approval of the police and the local council in greater Manchester
Bugerov you would get plenty of change from 3100pounds lol the going rate is about 50pounds for half hour and there are about a dozen establishments in the Manchester area being young free and single or rather old free and single it is sometimes nice to taste the pleasures of the fairer sex but I came back from India on March 10 after 5weeks away and pretty quickly afterwards these establishments along with barbers and pubs were closed under the lockdown just my luck
Thanks pirate flag yes okay I will take on board what you have said and hopefully we have turned a corner pleased that the board did acknowledge the dissatisfaction of private investors at the pulling of the dividend and I hope I contributed to that as I was in contact with aviva but I am not sure my question was asked at the AGM but I feel at least I did my bit as I am the most vocal critic of aviva on this board
Pleased for you DC. Glad this 'dog' has repaid some of what it owes you.
Maybe you will stop and think before posting those 3 letters again?
DC: you could get a massage for £3100 - I should hope so and I hope you'd get a little change too. Good luck with your investment.
Thanks also eurofox
Thanks jonno also hope you guys are enjoying the warm weather and are relaxing with some cold beers
Thanks pvi1 and karv after 3 losing trades of core holding 62500 I needed some luck but was getting worried when it got past 270p tried to buy at 265p could not get a round figure left it and saved myself 2500pounds lol my only worry of this dog is what are the liabilities on business interuption insurance going forward there are some test cases due to be heard in June and Aviva are named in them if the result is favourable to Aviva then that would give a lift to the share price but there is a possibility that the result could go against aviva

Well done DC, good to see you've had a result
DC it is about time some luck went your way.
As for me it did not go low enough for my order to go in I had my finger on button around 260 ish but got too greedy and it then went up.
Tomorrow will bring another day and maybe another possible chance. as long as there no vaccine news.
