Nothing Parson's has done has worked out well for the shareholder other than the odd very short term spike and i don't see that changing. Especially with a basket case like AST. He couldn't make a success at Sound when he had plenty of cash . So really don't see him doing it here. And as for the CEO he's never done anything anywhere .... As far as i can see ..IMHO
So, someone thinks a large chunk is worth a 3.5p sp? We might find who later. I suppose it's only what it was 10 weeks ago. Maybe should have topped up 2.5p, hmm.
"The board/s of directors at AST decided not to perform and submit an EIA as requested"
That may well be the case Alwaysup, but it is not what they stated 3 years ago.
RNS 24th Sept 2020
" Following the Administrative Court of the Republic of Slovenia's recent confirmation of its decision to require an Environmental Impact Assessment ("EIA") in order to re-stimulate the PG-10 and PG-11A wells, a new technical team has been contracted to prepare a detailed stimulation plan and updated Field Development Plan. These plans will form the basis of an EIA application in due course. "
I don't recall any further updates to their EIA application, so looks like this was just more BS from the directors. This certainly will not help their case.
No two situation are the same and to say that because one has won a settlement means the other will follow. So Dog your analysis is utter nonsense ..........yet again..
My “opinion” on my last was “strong buy” which was a mistake! 😳
I remember it well Alwaysup!
The shame of it was they had submitted an EIA some years earlier, it only needed a revision but for some inexplicable reason AST refused to submit one and that was sheer arrogance on AST’s part.
It was sometime after this that the Slovenian Government changed the rules on fracking or stimulation, as some would call it and we missed the opportunity.
I wonder if some of these aspects are lost in the mist of time and all will out if it gets to court because then AST will be well and truly fracked!,
It doesn't matter how many other lawsuits, in other countries, are settled in favor of the plaintiff. The facts are different in each case.
The facts in the case of AST vs Slovenia are based on AST claiming Slovenia prevented them from fracturing the wells.
This is not true. The government requested AST do an environmental assessment prior to applying for approval to fracturing. This requirement is very common in countries all around the world.
The board/s of directors at AST decided not to perform and submit an EIA as requested, so the government could not entertain their request for fracturing.
It is the fault of AST, and not the government of Slovenia, that sand fracturing operations were not conducted.
Strange you cant answer a simple question Ponguser. It appears that you are a non holder and a liar.
DogFather,
I'll let you carry on talking to yourself...
Ponguser,if you are not confident of the stock, then why hasn't your wife sold. Sounds like you are making it all up to give you an excuse to post on here.
Dog farted, you do realise the RNS is telling you that Parsons has magicked up nearly 43 million shares to hand over 20% of the company to the mysterious Ibrahim Diab.
I have not spent much time on this but a quick look shows that MBD Partners SA had revenue of 163,000 Euros in 2022 and is registered somewhere in Europe. Solid stuff there to support your gamble.
Looks and smells like the South African lot that Parsons told us were going to invest but which fell through a short while ago!
The news caused a fractional rise probably initiated by PI’s, certainly not institutional Investors but I am sure it will subside when the reality of a further dilution of this worthless company is recognised by those PI’s.
As you are an experienced, wise and prudent investor, you will know how easy it is to check the Institutional investors holding AST stock. 😜
At least Mr Parsons has one big fan on this forum! He's appeared out of thin air in the last 2 weeks & now appears to have an opinion on everything including having a pop at anyone that slightly disagrees with him!
I welcome any raise in the sp just so I can get my investment back and escape from this lhell after what seems a lifetime!!
Guzzleberries, I have read the RNS. You should practise what you preach.
Classic Parsons kicking the can down the road exercise .. with all those highlighted focuses it very strange that f..k all has happened in 3 years . How can you be focused on something with actually having any business with in that market.. Sums up this nonsense .. I think we’ve been here before with somebody putting in capital that ended up being hot air ….again.. For new to this business…. potential investors .. do your own research and don’t be persuaded to invest by some over excited characters that have recently occupied this forum.. First off look at the history of the directors .. successful or not ?… IMHO of course
It does. Ponguser wont be happy. I wonder if he is popping in later to take a look at his wife's shares ( Really).
What a windfall for them! but does show confidence and probably averts a cash call... good news
Looks like the investor thinks AST have good chance of winning the £565m claim.
In the event the Company's wholly owned subsidiary Ascent Slovenia Limited ("ASL") wins its arbitration claim against its Slovenian JV Partner in relation to the parties different interpretations of the application of the baseline production profile, then MBD shall be granted new five year warrants equivalent to 150% of their subscription amount at 5 pence per new warrant share, and exercisable, in full or in part, by paying the cash value of the exercise price to the Company
"This is a highly advantaged subscription despite difficult markets, which serves both to fund the business at a premium whilst also de-risking our near term inflection point with the expected Slovenian arbitration result. We are delighted to welcome MBD as a cornerstone shareholder and look forward to refining and delivering our strategy together. We believe this partnership will create both momentum and value for our shareholders and look forward to updating the market on our progress in due course."
Excellent news
They should have a statue of him outside LSE Headquarters.
He sums up AIM! Look what he has achieved in the last 10 years.
His Karma will come!! Trust me!!
The Midas touch by Mr Parsons at Echo Energy again. Reopened shares to the market today after 2 month suspension and nursing a 25% loss!!! Meanwhile he continues to draw a ridiculous salary!!! That why so many people doubt what info they are fed by the chancers running this company.
And still the FCA and LSE continue to look the other way as after all its in their interests not to get involved!!!!!
That would not make sense if it wasn't for the fact that Slovenia have withdrawn from the treaty. Why did they do this. The obvious conclusion is that they are afraid of being sued by more companies. Furthermore, wyt are they afraid of being sued if they believe that they will win. Dont forget, its is a fact that Rockhopper successfully won a judgement of £230 million against the Italian government. Logic points to AST having the same result.
Each day the claim is going higher and higher. I am amazed they have not made an offer to make us go away.
Slovenian government face losing a £656 million claim against them by AST. They can then be censured by the EU, something they definitely dont want. An easy way out for them is to settle AST claim , for lets see £50 million.
NoKash, ahh i see you are a bitter loser and have nothing better to do with your time. You lost money here and cant get over it.
For me , my stake £2000 is not a lot. Mind you when we settle the case and i get £20,000 back that will be very nice.Risk and reward.
Dog, you are lashing out like a loser!
You are focussed on a single hope which makes it clear to me that you have not undertaken any due diligence with this share.
Anyone who takes a different view to you is insulted which makes you a cowardly individual protected by the anonymity of this BB.
I will pop in here occasionally to see how you are getting on. You are a newbie to this board and I suspect that your naivety is due to being a novice investor who is reluctant to admit that he might have made a mistake! ….only time will tell and you will need a lot of it!!!
