Poptimist. Patience pays off and you have had patient so hopefully will be rewarded in your investment good luck Argonaut.
My post was a generalisation of how the US market and Nasdaq generally invest very strongly in ipo’s
Even more so than the uk, 97% going up on the first day of trading cannot be argued with it’s a fact.
We will see how it all goes tomorrow
Right I'm going to admit this. I'm as excited as when I first saw my wife 42 years ago, about tomorrow. The miserable, hard nosed, "expert" know alls, posting this and that right now, are so boring. I doubt few if any have done as well with ARB as many ordinary folk here since 2018. I was a bit like this last Feb, too but not as I am right now. Certainly better than the ghastly FUD oiks and their self inflicted misery, trying to spoil such good moments out of jealousy and prostituted spite. GLA Argonauts
and good wishes for an awesome rest of 2021. Pop.
Fireblade - I am calling BS on the IPO stats, wrt to Argo. The only thing similar that might be used as a general reference is the Bitfarms IPO earlier this year. Tomorrow's (??) event is actually a second, or additional IPO, since the company already listed initially in London several years ago. Although I thoroughly enjoy a box of krispy creme donuts when I am stateside, I would strongly suggest people think long and hard before buying shares tomorrow, hoping that the SP does what the krispy creme SP did, based on this type of bogus analysis.
Imo the Sp has had a nice run up and you could argue its mainly due to Nasdaq sentiment, BTC price performance hasn't done us any favours falling off from key resistance levels. So it's hardly due to that, i suspect a little froth has been taken out the Sp. No dramas!
There must come a point when sentiment/anticipation takes the Sp so far before levelling off. Tomorrow is another day and suspect the first day or so of listing might be choppy. It's even difficult for traders until it all settles down.
Imo i don't anticipate much downside if any, if anything it could fly out of the traps. Might stay flat for a while and pop the next day, but i don't see any reason why it should drop.
£1.64 equivalent finish in the US tonight, can’t see any reason for us not to go up tomorrow, if Btc keeps going up, we could see £2+ by close tomorrow
@MysteryGuy. Not sure if SP will drop to as much as 120-130p tomorrow - that's a 25% drop no chance.
Also Bitcoin seems to be recovering quite nicely today - and hopefully gets above $44k overnight. Think we could see a drop into the 140s because the recent rise over last few days has been falsely hyped and orchestrated against the dropping btc price. Don't see it staying there long though. Back into the 160s within a few trading days.
Is 75 mil plus a common amount Obiiwan pls?
An IPO is a fundraiser. Shares are always issued as part of an IPO.
Did any of those company have a 75 mil dilution on listing?
I don’t know why certain people are stating we will see a drop in share price tomorrow with the Nasdaq listing.
I’ve just posted the following on Stockwits
If anyone is in doubt which way the share price is going to go after the Nasdaq listing, just look through this, the last 100 ipo’s listings. shows
97% of ipo’s increased after the first day of tradding, and most of them substantially.
Dont listen to fud , onwards and upwards
https://www.iposcoop.com/last-100-ipos/
Now I know this is a generalisation, but still 97% of ipo’s over the last 3 months have gone up, so I think we would have to be very unlucky to be one of the 3%
@bluebay
"So last Monday BTC was $45k and ARB was 131p, since then BTC has gone down about 5% and the SP has gone up about 20%, and you don’t see anything ‘exciting’?"
Ive been quietish the last few days as I can see people getting carried away and expecting to much, I think there might be some disappointment tomorrow when we don't double in price as some seem to think will happen.
There was some good discussion a few weeks back on the IPO being at a discount which I believed they will be But the discount now is starting from a higher price so for me I'm not so sure that they will be below 1.30 now.
It's all fun and games, let see what tomorrow brings, I'm not expecting fireworks but I think within weeks we will have the good news RNSs that will be the catalyst to a decent climb.
Not long now and we will see if santa is brining prezzies or coal.
Not really, it's just the way this bb thinks it's going to the moon overnight I'm just sitting back see how it goes like see what becomes of it .
Market always seems to react more on sentiment/anticipation then action. I therefore do see a temporary drop. But once the dilution is out the way and BTC is on the rise this will fly.
@mysteryguy, errrrrr…..
So last Monday BTC was $45k and ARB was 131p, since then BTC has gone down about 5% and the SP has gone up about 20%, and you don’t see anything ‘exciting’?
Yea will probably drop as low as 1.20 or 1.30 and level out to 1.40. Gradual drop down to 1.00 before the next leg up which aside from Bitcoin surging would need to be a Texas update which to date has been shocking.
Anyway im still holding
Good luck all
@wilburylover, doesn’t really matter what it does tomorrow though does it?
I expect the SP to rise over the coming months, may not start tomorrow though.
I just don't see anything exciting happening here will see tomorrow .
We had the price movement early, which is a good sign. In case you missed it, the SP went up 30-40p in the past 7-10 days! Today’s closing price is also a big of an anomaly triggered by the final trade of the day.
apart from the stock being more accessable to the general public via apps such as robinhood, the instiutional investors being able to invest in ESG Bitcoin trackers and the inclusionin serveral nasdaq tracking funds all from tomorrow, not much.
Don't think this will change things that much seems not enough movement in the price not sure what's happening will see .
