Dags good idea. Very happy to use this place for healthy exchange of tips and recommendations. Will check out your MTEK tip. My original thoughts on bitcoin have changed. I think the novelty is starting to wear thin and for that reason future spikes will be less parabolic than before. But im still not convinced the bull run is over and believe the crypto president has still got a few tricks up his sleeve. I think bitcoin adoption will continue to increase. If the Ukrainian conflict can be resolved that would be a big driver for global markets. Im still going long on HUT8, RIOT because due to move into AI and HPC applications. Also APLD with its HPC services, cloud services and data centres and $16bn revenue deal with Coreweave. Believe there is massive upside on all 3 companies. Not sure what to make of gold at the moment but feel it may have peaked. Which stocks/sectors are you looking at?

HUT was one of the biggest fallers yesterday at 17.83% but only 23.77% over the month . I exited my last remaining HUT when bitcoin fell through the $69k support at around 68850 - I think the price was down about 9% - and then it dropped another 9% afterwards. But it has fared pretty well along with RIOT compared to the other miners. HUT has an earnings call 25 February. I cant ignore a 17.83% drop yesterday though and will certainly be one of my recovery stocks. Not sure whether to wait for confirmation of uptrend before wading in. I am sure there will be some more shenanigans today - btc will probably get walked up just before US open and then brutally dropped again... be careful out there...

This is a relentless slow motion train crash... orchestrated im not so sure.... but must have entered capitulation stage now, to followed by despair. Thats when you start making your shopping list - best recovery stocks, ets...

I bailed out of APLD and RIOT at the beginning of the week. Im just holding a few HUT now due to earnings call later this month. Portfolio is 80% cash now but not sure where or when to re-invest it. My PF is 30% DOWN from the $126k high. I might sit on the sidelines for a while. If $69k falls I think we are in for a long long crypto winter. Sentiment and confidence seems very low, Epstein cloud hanging over the markets + Trump appears to have really lost the plot recently (more than usual, re. Greenland + ICE antics) and no catalyst on the horizon - unless he brings the Ukraine ware to an end... think im going to sit this one out on the sidelines until new uptrend is established. No market V-shaped bounce unfortunately just a steady gradual decline... which at least allows us to exit out positions a little less damaged.

Me too. Looking to profit take and downsize some of my positions too. BTC is looking a little precarious now after going through a 4 month bearish block.

mara a 'laughing stock' i like it! not so long ago mara and riot were very similar prices but now mara is floundering in its vapour trails... i have not followed mara in detail myself but know that most of the shs are very ****ed with freds mismanagement.

Riot finished up 16% to $19.23 on friday after strengthening its AI infrastructure with AMD data centre deal. Thats not too shabby.

Thanks Chae. In that case I may have another look at the THX option again. I had a quick skim of the BB and it seems many are expecting the Douta project updated PFS Q4 before Xmas although a few there are getting frustrated and impatient. However POG related stocks do offer a much steadier calmer space to invest in than the crypto casino or AI (bubble if you believe that) and not prone to a sudden rug pull. Probably I need a few more of those types in my PF aright now... the last couple of sessions have been somewhat turbulent!

Yes agreed in just the last 10 years the UK for me the UK has become unrecognisable to me... it's turned into a dangerous over-crowded dystopian nightmare. Everyone is squabbling, every journey you take takes longer - all day rush hours, even walking on a London streets is stressful. Hope to be pressing the large abort button very soon!

True Dags I know that most investors even experienced investors have been turned over on aim stocks without exception. Me included on GKP a good many years back. Had a dabble on THX but the price there seems to have plateaud. All the rest of my PF as you suggested is in US miners half of them with an HPC and AI pivot. Although that sector has taken a hammering on friday and today. The Santa rally is noticeably late this year.

@Dags. It will hopefully be in a far flung exotic part of the world as far away from the uk as possible. Hopefully in SEA and not just a small rock off of the isle of Sheppey.

@Chaebol. Your island is sounds more appealing by the day. Excile me to Koh Lanta for a couple of weeks without wifi, laptop or mobile + a crate of Chang and I'll be a happy man!

Still holding out for that epic parabolic 5th wave although the waves seem to be getting shallower each time.
