The last lockdown was announced on the 23rd of March and surprisingly the FTSE was up on that day. It seems that the FTSE is not affected this time around either by the look of the future market. Good news overall
No, thank goodness ;)
my guess ...AML weighed up the cost .......of producing over 10000 units .....
against hefty........ fines and decided agains....it....for now...
but when........ AML produce 20 to 30 percent EV.......units .....then theoretically...... they could produce over 10000 units
as the...........EV units off set the CO2 emissions..........from ICE units...
I m sure..... its all in Toby s plan....................
Ha yes jtrader that's probably why they stated 10k units when the factory could produce 14k. Just looked back at previous year volumes and my god I did not realise aston had so little output. No wonder they struggled without the economy of scale.
Would AML not be in the more relaxed bucket..
Manufacturers responsible for between 10 000 and 300 000 cars registered per year (“niche” manufacturers) can apply for a derogation target for the years 2012-2019 equal to a 25% reduction from their 2007 average emissions, and a derogation target from 2020 on of a 45% reduction from the 2007 level.

no....AML can not pool their......CO2 emissions with .................DAI
but I believe ......AML ..........are in the category ,
‘Small volume’ derogation.......this applies
up to 10,000 vehicles sold based ...on targets agreed with
the EC.......so are exempt from..... hefty fines....
as they produce........ less than 10000, units per year....
and already have .........agreements in place..........
The EU are applying steep penalties to manufacturers missing their imposed CO2 targets. This is one of the sticks to get people to move to electric, ignoring all the pollution from mining and processing that battery production entails, plus the 2.5 ton cars that people end up driving around with increased tyre particulate pollution.
Some manufacturers are pooling themselves with other manufacturers that are ahead of the target, such as Ford with Volvo ( which have their Polestar).
I have no idea if small manufacturers get exemptions from these penalties, but wonder what the situation is with AML. Daimler have hybrid systems coming that work in conjunction with their twin turbo V8 which will presumably be fitted across the range of Astons. But in the meantime are Aston about to get some hefty fines and will the new tie up allow Aston to pool themselves with Daimler.
We template, fabricate and fit (usually) kitchen work surfaces .... Mostly quartz, also porcelain and granite ...
No body seems to think the sp will rise tomorrow, but considering they announced they’d raised £820m from the bond sale on Friday I think it’s possible, the possible lockdown was mostly in the price but obviously it got confirmed on sat, but don’t forget they didn’t announce that they’d sold the bonds till after business closed on Friday.
I’ll go 58p finish tomorrow.
i started trading again in march had some spare cash chose lloyds , then pulled and put into ggp now 9k up from that also bought into aml last week on a gut feeling :)
And yes its all in a isa :).
I don’t have hard evidence but will monitor for bert’ off shore if any change soon. I did say I have no prove on here B.B. (Look history)
It my research notes.
Thanks all so when will AML finish all the lovely DB5s?
Iv carved granite before but only once, I pritty much build with sandstone, limestone, cobbles or slate every day. What's your trade?
Ah ... Thought we may have a common interest, but I’m granite, quartz and ceramics ;)
Sandstone, cobbles, slate, any and all!
Tinypie,
What sort of stone?
Noahsark, I always appreciate your postings and long may they continue. I dont comment on EV because I know nothing about it. But its obviously the future and very exciting. To be honest I dont know much really unless it's about stone!
You have, jagurflush, welcome to this bb, all opinions and banter are very welcome.
Yes... Noah...thanks... this is LTH.....
no gamble............
.
AML have low of p/e compare to Ferrari and if aml reach par of p/e (similar to Ferrari) it would be very good day for LTH.
