I wouldn't be surprised if JPM sold into the rise for a nice premium when it spiked and then bought back in again when the price dropped. Or would it not be possible to do that between the last 2 RNS?
It is interesting that albeit only for a marginal amount JP have tried to increase their voting rights. Whether this was house-keeping or an indication of direction of travel from them only time will tell. Some ideas suggested are more dubious than others but a relisting for clarification would not happen. Rather you would see a "reverse takeover" where a Private Company gets a majority interest in a listed Co. Adam Reynolds (OPTI, YGEN, BST) has done this before. As before some ideas more dubious than others.
A chaotic week even in the parabolic trading of AMGO. Hopefully we are good enough for a tick-up to the mid-14s to settle some nerves. With the Long term incentive RNS, Holdings RNS and so on it should be a good couple of weeks going forward though.
Sorry Mark, not jumping down your throat! Its good to come up with some theories to help think stuff through! My sense is that this isn't too cloak and dagger. I think it would be really hard for GJ to walk back all the noise about shareholders and the empathy he has shown, to then shaft us like so may shyster CEO's do. I don't think its his game and things are way too sensitive to start corporate activity up like that. The small leadership team won't have the bandwidth either to go down this route with everything else going down. Maybe later in year or into next is viable for a buy-out.
I'd like to end the week positively and increase FOMO for next week. The hype about more TR1 is looking more unfounded, hope I'm wrong though
Personally I’d like to think that they want to take a sizeable stake and with that kind of financial clout behind us the Fca will back us all the way. JPM take the banking arrangement over from RBC and we push on to 52week high and build from there.
That’s what I’d like to think
Franky I’m just kicking ideas around as to what they (JPM) are thinking. I think it would be a mistake I agree.
So Amigo 2.0 gets sets up as a separate business and relists via IPO - just like that??:-:::::-))). Don't make me laugh! Mark - It takes months to get an FCA licence approved and if they were seeking it they would have to state it publicly. Further, you don't click your fingers and IPO. That takes months to organise. Come on please. If you want to believe that an offer would be at 20.9p as well??? Did you wake up on wrong side of bed ,or bang it somehow??:-) GJ is not about to pull the rug from under the investors feet or agree to a pathetic low offer. Trust.
Still needs solid news here and not gonna happen till end of march, followed by six weeks till the10th May, more positive they can avoid insolvency now though, so bit more positive long term, take over talk is a lot of BS. can't see it myself. Need to let Gary and his team do their thing, at least they have a vision and a plan. Patience for now.
20.9p was the last offer so you can bet your life any new offer given the changes everywhere won’t be any higher. Still a decent enough return looking at it as purely a cash return but tell me an offer that takes it private and amigo 2.0 as a private company before a name change and relist via ipo with JPM at the helm (again) hasn’t crossed your mind.
Hi Mark - I suspect JPM are still buying in the background whilst PI's get spooked out of their holding. I would be very dissappointed if Amigo was taken private anytime soon! As we won't get even close to true value. This would seem very possible . That said, any proposed sell shouldn't happen overnight but after we have started relending? if we sold for 30p I'd be fuming! I highly suspect that we will get a low ball offer though!
The only reason to increase voting rights is in order to vote .... what’s votes do we have upcoming? Maybe the buyout rumours do still have legs
Just asked a valid question if you don't have the answer move on dont get personal who you calling a needy child and no I am not a chav more class than that
Scarpa50, they're like needy children.....absolute chavs....ain't got a clue.....takes all sorts I suppose Zzzzzzzzz
Can’t sell, can’t buy..........no-one really cares. It’s a hold and if or when it rises, it’ll do it very quickly. Rampers/de-rampers you all talk a load of cr4p and would be better served on a different board with other school children who are easily impressed. Rant over!
Can also sell £5k's worth no issues
What is 'Sell'? The only buttons I have for amigo are 'Buy' or 'Triple Buy'.
Try sell 5k
Can sell £50k's worth no issues
