If Reward Rate is being sold off as part of the wind down, does anything stop Jim Mccoll buying it, then doing a RTO of Amigo which then allows RR to be listed, and off they go again so to speak? It would seem to suit the profile of Jim to have another lending business under his umbrella, and he certainly has the money to make it work. All subject to FCA approval of course.
The timing of the RNS wasn't the best, with it being released just before Easter when everyone is winding down for the break, and at the end of the tax year too. Had the RNS been released after the 6th of April, I think we would've seen an even stronger rise. I'm hoping interest will build here over the coming weeks, as we get more hints and nudges about where we're going. Thursday's volume 3x that of the first placing, so any overhang won't last and we should start to see a steady rise. Always a good sign when a share rises and finishes above the placing price.
Good morning All I was totally obliterated by Amigo. Just seen the headlines and hope is well hope
I know I lost out big time and was looking hoping for Amigo to return , but at least we had a blue day yesterday
Let’s hope it continues and we see sp rising near the 1p soon

Very please for all who have held and kept the faith, its looking up amigo after months of uncertainty and for me the risk reward is back on. I still believe there is a gap in the market for amigo to fill and take business away from the loan sharks. Early days but sounds positive.
Jim M is Scotland's richest man. He is worth a few Bob, but obvs.he seems to think amigo worth getting involved in.
Wish I has bought at 0.1!!
Good day here today. Amigo lives on. Billionaire on board. Premium placing and it looks like we're going to finish the day 30% above that.
Have a good Easter all! 🐰
Never know look how ITS responded to someone coming in of a lower calibre imo. We have a highly regarded billionaire
He ain’t going to bring back my 6p average, but something is better than nothint
Come on son!! Jim mccoll tartan army
Bid rising orders filled primed for the move into close! We will see .4 imo
Market ha missed this imo! Jim mccoll! That is huge news
Interesting to see if he knows who Jim mccoll is! I’m astonished he has taken a shine to old amigo, he likes distressed but this in one another level. He must have something lined up for himself.
Don't listen to petro. He copy pastes the same lines on all shares.
Could be one last roll of the dice. Does make you wonder why someone would spend time on a company like this and a reputation to uphold can only be good news for us long suffering had given up any hope lth .
I suspect some news flow coming soon.
Sorry to hear that chippy. I hope you've made it back with some other stocks.
Not sure why comments aren’t posting!
Do some research on Jim mCcoll he’s a billionaire and one of scotlands most successful businessmen! Why does he want his name against amigo, good question, but imo worth a lot more with his name in the ring. Fantastic
Needs divine intervention to get me my 84p per share back you live and learn sometimes a very costly way . Any glimmer of a pulse we live in hope!!!
I would take punt into this as after long time, someone officially says..restoring some value to shareholders means, min 10bag from here when it get some confirmation about shareholder approval and that is easy for Amgo to get that approval which we have seen in past...DYOR
Jonathan Roe, chair of Amigo, said: “Jim McColl has an impressive track record of creating valuable businesses for investors and we are looking forward to working with him as we continue to seek a better solution for shareholders that presents the opportunity of restoring some value to them.
“There is no guarantee that a transaction will result, but with Jim’s track record we believe we have increased the possibility of being able to do so.”
I'll start to worry about getting spiked at about 3p.
