Figgy RR are raising 2.5b and currently the mcap is about 3b ... that’s gonna sting for some long term holders there!
STEADY VORAG!!!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha Ha
Agreed ExP, we won’t know.
I wish whoever wins does 10% buyback of shares. Whilst they can with some cash. I think it would be in addition to 29-% JB wants. Taking 40% + GC 6.66%.
46-50% - BOD’s
25% float
25% PI/ Inst
Figgy, how can RR not survive? Not only is it too big to fail in what it does, apart from cars, but it also is part of heritage. Call me nostalgic or whatever you want, but only RR managed to evolve into a lot more than just cars. BMW, Merc, VW, Opel/Vauxhall (GM) didn't do it. RR is a one off in that respect.
Mark,
Wow, that is a lot. These are tough tough times, Survival of the fittest, may not be enough. I think all these great British companies will have to go through these fund raisers to survive. Do Buybacks years later. Divs will be gold dust..
And sorry, for the off-topic post. I wish us few Amigos had a group in which we can discuss and propel new investment ideas and exchange research.
Mouse - TVR, Aston Martin, Morgan, Norton, Triumph - all British nostalgic companies who have bounced more times than a rubber ball. No nostalgia in business
Cutbacks in public spendering, consumerism, no job= no new car.
Second hand car market rocketing again. Lockdown means losss of business. Furlough costly for many. Hope we all get through...x
expru, I even remember a Talbot being a car. A Welsh one, but it was a car lol :-) but surely RR is different calibre than all of them. I for one only know Triumph as a sewing machine and my mother, who was a seamstress preferred Singer and Pfaff.
vorag==funny
Figgy = NOT funny - We were in public and I kept my battleship well hidden thank you very much ; )
Rolls Royce the listed company doesn’t make cars anymore it’s aircraft engines and other engineering project. The car business was sold off years ago.
Mouse - Norton and Triumph were/are prestigious British motorbikes - the definition of nostalgic : )
MouseKWitz,
I like the Mini Countryman, very popular. Mini has made a massive coneback last few years.
(With 4 days to go...
I’m chilling tonight, watching Transcendence on Film4)
I think rolls Royce motor cars is a subsidery of bmw nowadays.
mARK - yEP
Hi mouse,
Mark is correct. RR are looking to raise 2.5b of funding and one option on the table is a share issue. I am waiting to see which direction they take. I think this is a long term one as most planes are grounded and i am sure there will defence budget cuts in the future.
expru, Triumph was also a sewing machine. Same company ;-) https://www.sewingparts.co.uk/triumph.html
Didn’t know that Mousey. Hmmm
Singer was overtaken by Brother. Maybe that’s where the group got it’s name?
Brother Beyond...
It's is weird but true, FGT. Many later car manufacturers started off making sewing machines. The watches as the fabric (the ground) ran along, the 'foot' and the cogs below makes the 'ground' move and thought: Why don't we turn this into something bigger. The first driver of a motorised vehicle, was a woman, btw. Mrs Benz. The inventor, her husband, didn't dare driving it of fear it might explode :-)
Figgy, do you know the saying: "Runs like a sewing machine" that's where this saying is coming from.
Guys...Before you punt on RR. note the debt hey have £31bn quid. Again...slowly...£31bn spondulies DEBT
Now on topic....AMGO votes are now in. Speculators taking positions Will JB be victorious and Regain the reigns.
How have you voted? Do you have conviction.
JB prepared to pay 20p minimum for 29% of the company....
The bull run is about to begin ... it is time gentlemen and gentlewoman to place your bets, to have conviction in your rationale to bring AMGO back from the ashes brought on by the career suits, their free meals are about to come to an end.
Last orders for tickets to the show that shows them the door peeps.
Gla and load up the touch paper is about to be lit.
Let me rewrite that. My keyboard is worn out:

Again I didn’t know that MouseyKWitz.. i never underestimate women. We need more Female leaders like Merkel. No leaders anymore...
Did you know:
Bill Gates and Steve Jobs came together 21 years ago, when Microsoft agreed to invest $150 million in Apple stock. The deal shocked Apple purists, but it helped put Apple on a firm footing for a few reasons — and made its historic run possible in the second Steve Jobs era.
Degsy,,
Haha,
Well written. No spell errors a misplaced commas like mine, Brynthewormwouldloveyou.
