As I've said before they will probably take this "to the wire". If you read the RNS 3rd October 2022 proposing the dividend Age's calcs are not valid. The ex-div date will be the same as and the record date and payment date may will be the same or very soon after, which could be as late as the 90th day from receipt of funds (assuming Robing keeps to his dates - which he rarely has done in the last 15 years!):-
"The Board proposes that the record date and payment date for the distribution of the post-Completion dividend shall be no later than 90 days following receipt of the consideration payment."
Therefore I don't think there will be a chance to buy between ex-div and record date. They will simply RNS at 7:00 am that the payment will be made to any holders on the register at close of play yesterday.
The only way to make sure you get the divi is to buy before the RNS!
Well could Thursday be the day,we can always hope
MD
Just poor communication again from another aim company!! Not sure they are impressing investors for their new venture!!!
They haven't done a runner have they?? Not replied to any of my 3 emails!!
28 days to go, a lot of information to give, timelines and details of the payout and tax position.
Well I liked his valuation formula Gazzleberry......nice to dream £ into reality existance? lol.
Here's a more realistic article...https://growthbusiness.co.uk/the-hot-way-to-ipo-288/
Perhaps we'll reverse into a "stonking asset"......back to dreaming again lol.
....I read this on another site......
......and assuming we still have £5m odd left in our sterling bank account on top of the $35m......after we pay out the 1.8p....
......we may still have an SP close to where we are now???
"The historical, floor valuation multiple for AIM Rule 15 cash shell is 3.5 x cash resources. The value can then be improved upon with the amount of ‘bankable’, historical tax losses; 0.25 is assigned to every £10m (of tax losses). So, have you done the maths?"
That makes the odds (possible 100% gain) before knowledge of the RTO? ........even more attractive!
The only thing against this sure bet......is there enough trust in the BOD.....for the market to take us there????

JulianM,
As I keep saying Robing wants to drag this out as long as he can, his salary has been worth far more to him than what he'll get from the sale as he and his fellow board members hold so few shares.
It's unlikely he'll have a job after October as any still holding will probably vote him out just out of spite!
Of course the 14th March was the date of the RNS but the date of actual receipt could have been earlier, although I guess we will never know. I continue to be very disappointed that 2 months down the line,we are still waiting for confirmation of the arrangements ,which they should have been in a position to proceed with as soon as the funds arrived.
“……..within 90 days of the receipt of funds.”
TDT
Has the “90 days” been stated as just days, or could it be business days? If the latter then we could be looking at end July for payment.
TDT
Thank you.
I hope your/ our, beliefs, thoughts, hopes, wishes, and prayers come to fruition. SOON.
Gilyard
Check the last RNS dated 14th. March, this bit in particular.
"The Company has previously announced that it will pay a special dividend of 1.8 pence per share to shareholders within 90 days of the receipt of funds. Further announcements in respect of the dividend dates will be made in due course."
Receipt of funds was confirmed in the RNS so the 90 days run from 14th. March. so any time around now or at least before the middle of June I believe/think/hope/wish/pray.
TDT
Can someone please remind me please. It’s not that I’ve completely lost interest but after 12 years or I had taken my eye off the ball.
When is the expected payment date and is a time line fixed.
Well there it is AGE,the company that never fails to disappoint.
It’s a fact that there is nothing to be done when someone just doesn’t care
MD
And still we wait for a dividend to state the Ex Div and Record date and Payment date!
Looking at the document called “Dividend Procedure Timetable” you can see the following possible dates:
Ex div date Record date Latest announcement date
18/05/23. 19/05/23. 11/05/23
25/05/23. 26/05/23. 18/05/23
01/06/23. 02/06/23. 24/05/23
The bottom dates are not feasible as the record date would be the very last day that the special dividend could be paid if AMC adhere to paying it with 90 days of receipt.
That leaves two possible dates for the RNS to be issued and they are today or next Thursday.
On the basis it has not been issued this morning then that leaves only next Thursday to issue it which is the 18/05/23 with the ex div date being the 25/05/23 and record date being the 26/05/23.
With a record date of 25/05/23 and a payment date of 02/06/23 there is not much time to process the payment!
AGE
Gazzleberry, This is off topic and for you only really.......I'll give you a concept here........and indeed the title of this post is appropriate.....one who had the key to the palace was the perverted uncle and bother of two dear friends and mocked me at her wedding......he had evil perception and knew I could see him demasked.
You see.....they all all "owned" and whatever their intentions...they are attended by 20 SAS types and some pwerful "friends"...and told that they are owned....two choices....become the JFK type or become enriched beyond belief....sell your soul to shaitan,/Iblīs, .............and they do!
I feel sad for them and sincerely regret what shallow lives they physically experience for such a short time.
Much rather be "free" amap.....and poor and rich besides....yes I wonder......what the answers are.....but content to live a life outwith the herd most often and invest in AMC et al d'accord!
I will be happy to sell on dividend record day and buy back 2 days later!

Hi TDT,
Have gone round it a bit before, initially I thought maybe they'd get it done quick on the basis they already had a new venture lined up and the payment need so happen first. Obviously not the case!
The more I think about it though, there is nothing at all to benefit Robing by not waiting till 90 days. I wouldn't even be surprised if at 90 days ish he announced, due to some made up excuse, they had a delay and the payment will be in x more days, weeks, etc. All the time the cash is earning interest probably circa £150k per month and he's still getting to feed at the AMC trough. The only real deadlines for him are the AGM, where we could chuck him out and the AIM rules concerning cash shells. It may even be, he's worked out he will be better off drawing a salary until the anniversary and then just returning what's left to the shareholders.
Only a month or so till we find out as he will have to issue an RNS on or before the 90 days one way or another. Even I'm getting itchy feet now after 14+ years - there is a potential larger rise (£1.50 to £2.40+) due in IAG once the current GAPs close. If they close even before Robing pays the divi then I may dump the lot and move it there. Same profit % but not under Robings control. It's only really a sentimental thing that keeps me here, would just like to crystallise my profits via the payout rather than simply selling - as you say a Sale was what we all anticipated when we bought/traded AMC and I'd like that itch scratched:)
😀😀😀👍

The moment the shares go ex div I will be selling up as I have no faith in them securing any deal which will add shareholder value.I fear that at best a deal will be announced, the shares will be suspended for a least 6 months whilst all the formalities are dealt with and if approval is given there will probably be a fundraise at a lower level than the price at suspension, whilst in the meantime the bod continue to pay themselves, thereby depleting funds.
From buying in 2009 to still waiting in 2023 proves they are poor business people and spent too many months of too many years under achieving and over paying theirselves.
MD
md agreed.
don't forget its not so long ago nickel was bumping along at $4/lb to $5/lb. and for a long time during that period capital for junior explorers all but dried up. i don't think many people on here ever thought amur would take kun manie into production it was always going to be a sale. its the level we've been sold for that's the issue. tom bowen's disposal of malmyzh was a good pointer on what to expect for km. the fact that a war came along when it did to knacker the proceedings is not something anybody could have predicted. we are, as they say, where we are.
that's the first gripe but one i'm reasonably comfortable with. the second gripe is the amount of time it's taking them to distribute the funds from the sale. i'm less than happy with that one and would like them to just hurry the ******* up and dish out the dosh. i can't make anything if my money is sitting in their account. none of us can.
tdt
Very little to take advantage of in the later years TDT.All that fund raising just to sell the asset for peanuts and leave millions of Dollars worth of equipment on site.
Traders were ok for sure, investors who thought it would work out in the end not so much
MD
They did deliver shareholder value MD its just that most of us didn't take advantage.
TDT
Their disregard for shareholders is just the perfect match for their inability to produce shareholder value for years and years.
They are completely without shame
