I don't believe Bowens has been brought on board on a business as usual basis, and certainlt wouldn't be buying 7million shares with that in mind.
I think there have been offers (or at least an offer) but not good enough. Bowens is here to strengthen the team, the case and to help close out the deal and has put his money where his mouth is. Let's not forget that developments in the area have made it much easier now to sell KM.
Someone alluded to this yesterday (GB33?), that the Malmyzh cash is possibly meant to be shared out between RCC and AMC in some guise.
The roughly $2.2bn assigned to fund the 'mining complex' is possibly twice as much necessary just for RCC. And 'mining complex,' though as translation, suggests something that's not necessarily exclusive to just one company, but something for a district.
I imagine TB knows the score, can see where things are going to go given his experience at IG Copper, and understands that the Capex we've calculated in our PFS will be revised down and our NPV marked up, should it become clear that the mining complex can be shared and utilised by AMC.
Absolutely agree CBS, these things will have been thought about / discussed for years and Tom is pivotal to it in my opinion.
Of course the Russians want a smelter there, it is all part of the development plan. The potential for these first movers is absolutely huge
Of course the Russians want a smelter there, ..'' it's not a matter of if but when..
and the when will be when Norilsk starts getting low on Nickel or the price of nickel soars to as I've suggested before $60 and if EVs are going to be the norm...why not $60... the scientists will just have to make nickel go further than it does now!
The when is now, hence the Russian Government have funded a mining complex.
Interestingly, RY was talking about the Far East Development Fund / Government funding a smelter a few years ago, which just so happened to coincide with the LOI to explore a joint smelter.
'' LOI'' whats that then loss of interest??
The Russians are after Gold.. the big crunch is coming..
The AMC board has done everything possible to get AMC going... we could not ask more from them.. I have yet to hear a suggestion as to what they can do!
We just have to wait!... and I would not be unhappy to see some of our employees..''let go''! what are these relatively highly paid execs doing?
I personally don't think $50k a year each is too bad.
$50k a year each is too bad.''...For doing what...??
$50k..is about 1.5 million AMC shares??
If people haven't refreshed themselves...
The Far East Development Fund just funded a smelter and Tom Bowens is on our Board.

About the same as other Execs do I expect.
But you said relatively high and I assume you mean relatively high to other Execs so imo its not high.
Whether its $50K or $1m the point is.. what are they doing??
here you go:

Well you clearly assume not a lot. But just because you assume something doesn't mean people should be "let go" as you put it.
If RY needs them, then at $50k a pop they can stay as far as I'm concerned.
I am asking what are they doing for the $50k?
Well neither of us have access to their job specifications or contracts of employment so like with most investments you trust the CEO to employ the team he needs.
Sorry I cant be of any more help.
Robin and Tom did not enter into that LOI on a whim, they are both extremely experienced in their fields and in Russia.
So parts of that RNS appear to becoming true, I. E. FEDF assistance, mining complex.
We now have Tom on board,
The recent RNS portrays business as usual, but it most definitely is not
I agree CT. From memory RY used to call it a mining 'hub' but 'complex' is the same thing. I also recall he said AMC would be at the centre of it all.
the only thing you can say is that bowens has bought shares....and we have had many other acronyms.. but nothing has happened and that bowens is on board does not mean anything will happen soon.. ie within months..I am still looking at years!..but would be happy to be proved wrong.. very happy!
I agree CT, you can almost see the direction we are headed in since Tom became involved and with that FEDF investment, it would seem to increase the probability some sort of tie up between us and Malmyz
Just speculation on my part of course!
Talk of NDA being Speculation is Valid. Just as everything else on this BB.
That being said
We were informed via RNS of an MOU with Jinchuan. We were not informed of this MOU coming to and end or to that effect.
This is a Fact no one can argue with. So to say Jinchuan are still around and interested is not speculation but an informed conclusion on my part.
Russian does not need the Nickel as such. China does.

As daft/ convenient as it might sound, NDAs can stipulate there be no mention of even an NDA bring in place. Not sure what that means if there are a multiple NDAs, how that's navigated by a company
This debate goes on in all boards when there is such a lack of news but its rarely true that one is in place.
That said, if i had made an approach to a company with regards to taking a stake or making an offer, i would want an nda that was not disclosed also....any mention of an nda regardless of names mentioned alerts other interested parties thay the clock is ticking and fast...so there would be a good chance of being gazumped before you even completed due dilligence....you just would not leave yourself open like that unless you strategically thought that your competition could only make a low offer and the deck was stacked in your favour.
So who knows but i feel a lot more comfortable seeing bowens come in and buy that amount of shares with cash....if he does similar at the end of this month, i will be on it.
This is an interesting discussion and clearly we’re all trying to see into the dark. Hopefully some information will be forthcoming that lights up the way soon.
A thought though re if an NDA were in place. Presumably the thinking is that any interested party would be concerned that if it became public that they were in the data room there would be an uplift in the SP, increasing market cap and so forth.
However, (i’m Open to being disagreed with here) but if someone is looking at the company they would be looking at NPV, the drilling data, CapEx etc. All the hard data in fact.
Therefore, if an offer were forthcoming it would be based on this data regardless of the market cap.
So is an NDA a red herring?
