Morning WengerOut .....
What questions did you manage to ask them ?
OTL
Agreed, the company need to explain why they are refusing to issue the 2018 drill updates and updated PFS.
If NDA or CA are in place, then say so, nothing stopping them as I've said many times.
Details remain confidential, but are we bound by such agreement ?
Bombard Blytheweigh with calls.
"If NDA or CA are in place, then say so, nothing stopping them as I've said many times."
An NDA or CA could be in place and it could be preventative from telling shareholders. If you think you know otherwise then please show evidence.
If the 2018 drill results and updated PFS were subject to an NDA then why did RY comment on them in the latest RNS
....."anticipate a considerable increase in resource".....
Surely an NDA would cover negotiations, meetings and identities and not figures that the shareholders are entitled to and have been promised.
It's the same as saying that you can't have the half-term financials 'cos we have an NDA ! Doesn't add up !
OTL
so uncle Tom's been in a fortnight and theres an NDA in place already?
Robin was asked about NDA's a few years ago and whether there were any, he said that he couldn't say
That's correct CT.
RY announces '' An NDA is in place..... Oooops''
which is insane CT. NDAs protect a commercially sensitive relationship; and yes they can be gagging mechanisms. I'm not quite sure they prevent either party from admitting that they'd love to tell you more but 'there is an NDA in place.'
I don't believe the existence of an NDA between two parties excludes both from admitting an NDA exists. That sounds like utter nonsense.
Crucial price sensitive numbers can be withheld owing to NDAs, it seems, thinking about FRR. However, NDAs normally have time periods, for example, of a year or so and have to be reviewed. Don't think results can be withheld indefinitely, although our drill results have been released, just that we have had no adjustments made to the PFS, resource/reserve etc. So may be they are not under the same pressure given the drill results are out there?
Now, with 2018 drill season results and with the TEO and DFS RNS pointing to a cut-off-grade of 0.20%, it has potential get even tastier, as below,
"We anticipate a considerable increase in the resource and reserve inventory due to the newly discovered mineralisation identified during the 2018 field season."
I believe, as perhaps others do, negotiations ongoing and that we may have received offers but they weren't nowhere near good enough.
CBS,
"That sounds like utter nonsense."
Well said.
I see where you are coming from CBS but what would an RNS read like then? ...It is with pleasure that we announce we have an NDA in place.
What purpose would that serve? All people would be going on about then is who it is with. The sp would just be pumped and dumped which would suit traders but us lth surely.
Just to add they have said on numerous occasions that they are in talks with potential strategic partners, so whether that is under NDA or not what difference does it make? You either believe that is the case and lets be honest in todays Nickel market it is quite plausible, or you don't.
I mean, I see where youre coming from Nolo, but it would mean that AMC are under a mightily prescriptive form of NDA; as others have pointed out, there are lots of other mining juniors that admit that they have NDAs in place with commercially interested parties who are in the data room, etc etc etc...ours is so ironclad? I suppose i'd believe it a bit more if we had some updated Reserves but we don't. I tie Reserves and NDA together as Reserves are what are recognised as economic - we don't have an updated figure for that - how can we possibly enter into a deal without those - and therefore in the absence of Reserves and a negotiation that would flow from that - what use is an NDA?
I dunno bud. I just dont buy it. I'd like to understand what is going on; im happy to explore other avenues outside of the notion of an NDA which would have to be American SuperMax Prison Level NDA to prevent either side from revealing that one exists. An NDA that prevents one from admitting there is an NDA - highly Kafka-esque.
Also I doubt Tom Bowens has invested £160k+ of his money to sit around making tea all day.
I just don't see the NDA thing as a big deal. Perhaps the BOD don't either. If any deal is tied into the current sp then that would perhaps be a reason not to entice too much excitement in the market.
It may be that the potential partner wants to be heavily involved in this final draft of the numbers before being released to the market. I think RY has hinted at this before.
Talk about an NDA is all speculation and diesnt help anyone.
If something is not RNS'd they it doesnt apply. All I see at the moment is a company who are treating their shareholders appallingly.
The NDA excuse has been used by certain shareholders for years now and allows the company to treat us like mushrooms.
If the next AGM is held in the UK, which will be doubtful given the way we have been treated, then action we must take otherwise as things are we could be diluted into oblivion or worse still see the co. shut up shop. Without information to the contrary that is all we can assume.
Just one example of why it may suit for the sp to be low is so that AMC can give notice to repay Riverfort with perhaps some of the funds a partner may bring. If the sp rises too much they don't have that option.
Anything could be going on tbh.
Funnily enough (not that much of this is funny at the mo!) I could see an "NDA" type arrangement being in place if it were potentially a Russian partner that we were talking to. But not an NDA as we would expect in the West, more of an informal arrangement. You know, a "friend of a friend" is interested in your deposit but has to deal with a couple of other matters first. We'd recommend you listen to them.
Western companies would have to have something more formal of course.
Hi Nolos
I agree with some posters, if there is a NDA in place there is nothing stopping AMC saying ' we are in a NDA'. He does not need to elaborate further on this point. If this is the case, most LTH will have a sig of relief and that, for me, at least, will explain the silence.
I am a LTH with over 1m shares and I am at a stage now where I am getting frustrated. Its all well saying keep in there for a little longer, but how long is a piece of string. I am now expected to wait at least another 15 months, until then who knows what will happen.
As much as I enjoy reading your comments Noloss, I think sometimes you are in partial and regardless of what RY/ AMC do, yu will always back them up. I think now is the time to get together and take some form of action - I agree with your comments yesterday and don't believe EGM is the right way, but something needs to be done. As for ringing Blytheweigh, I have rang them and put across my concerns.
Noloss, I will carry on reading your comments and I am sorry, I am not having a go at you.
I tend to agree CBS, the problem is that it will encourage a crazy amount of speculation in the market as an NDA could be in place for a multitude of reasons and activities.
I. E. Working with a major miner, a road builder, funding of 500k, funding of 1bn.
Whilst I'd love to know more, AMC have always tried not to say anything until signed, sadly that leaves us with little idea with what the strategy is and what they are doing to get there
That's ok Gamer no offence taken. I have had plenty of gripes with RY and AMC over the years. I prefer to deal with those myself. CBS will confirm that I questioned RY and Paul Mackay quite considerably at the meeting in November last year. We all have doubts and concerns, but we all handle them differently.
Good luck to us all anyhow.
Noloss certainly did question them at length. I remember leaving that meeting feeling quite confident the next year would be fruitful for us. One of these days I suppose.
