When looking at the valuation I would take what is said in this article into account, on top of the Lithium price. This year could be very good, but also there's a risk ALL could be taken out cheaply due to the market not valuing it as highly as it should be valued, for the reasons mentioned in this article.

Hi Swest,
I share the same opinion - the last time I heard the opposition/minority criticising the deal was on the 14th December. And as a consequence, this silence might be weakening the critical stance from CSOs, academics, individuals, etc. But we shall see what is happening in the following weeks!!!
Whilst I remain guarded about ratification, it is positive to see the purchases
There are glimmers of positive in the wider market imo, but its not clear cut and varying narratives abound
The opposition appear to have 'quietened' of late, I sense some US embassy influence in that regard, but only opinion no hard proof. Personably I'd keep it sensible here. thewse purchases are fubnded by high renemeration funded by youGL
Including Executive Chairman, CFO and Chief Geologist!

Another buy from significant player......

Perish the thought that any insider would have any knowledge of when that vote would be happening. No. Just a bit of savy buying on the dips. Who wouldn't? ;-)
The intense public lobbying from a few 'representatives of civil society ' that has appeared over the last two weeks suggested the vote, though not stated by guv as to when, was imminent.
This one just yesterday looks to make that perhaps more urgent for them. Vote soon then?

Hope to see some positive chat on the Piedmont deal from Jinapor and Martin, not negatives...surely we can do offtake deals given the in country refinery is pie in the sky...
It's sickening that we continue to go down whilst markets are so bullish. However, I think it would be a bad decision to sell now, at a loss when there are so many positives on the horizon. This share has become a traders dream and it is them that keep driving the SP down. Once we get ratification followed by offtake agreement and resource increase, the SP will re-rate and traders will be out. Good luck all long term investors :-)
Just drifting down yet again giving back all those recent gains
sad to see
I think it was Bankrupt has said hes reduced his position here, one couldn't argue for anyone doing that presently
difficult decision for many what to do. Personally I'm not topping up anymore until I see some clouds part - spot price / market outlook, ratification, 2 central factors, plus renumeration I said my bit. Good luck all whatever you choose

Totally agree, Mr Junipor recognises that investment has no borders, it will settle where it sees the best and safest return
Th Ghanian opposing benches should take careful note
If they don't play straight, they may end up with years to 'repent at leisure' ... and the prised resource will stay firmly where its always been
A minimum 30% Ghanaian participation upon Ghana stock exchange listing. So there should be some welcome buying imminently from Ghanaian institutions.
Liked that Samuel Jinapor said the global investment community is watching and that its a binding contract that they will take to parliament.
"I think it's also important for all of us to be mindful that the global investment community is watching and taking notes. And in any industry these matters have far reaching consequences as to how you attract investment into all areas of your national life. The sanctity of contract is absolutely important"
A 2 year negotiation, a legal framework from 2012, not to change that in the middle of the game as he put it.
I think that point needs to be made more

Thanks for feedback read with interest.
Bottom line, the door is there for all of us and I haven't used it despite my concerns on salaries.
Ratification appears to be the key. So we wait. Good luck.
Not forgetting remuneration at Ricca Resources...
Neil Herbert Non-Executive Deputy Chairman
Amanda Harsas - Finance Director and Company Secretary
Lennard Alexander Kolff Van Oosterwijk - Technical Director
Offshoot floated to concentrate on Gold assets within ex-Atlantic / Ironridge Group and then invested circa USD18.6 million to fund the progression of the Atex Lithium-Tantalum Project. Still can't trade the shares in Ricca.....
I guess the board are too busy counting their money....
I am a long-term holder but agree with swest42 and Guido_1, the directors are overpaid presenters at the moment. I would prefer remuneration linked to production targets, or a 50p shareprice, as opposed to anything else.
AR2023 p31 salaries + bonus:
NH $533,334 + $942,500
KM $222,537 + $213,750
AH $382,346 + $616,300
LK $422,041 + $607,500
Retention bonuses were paid at 100% of fixed remuneration just for staying with the company up to completion of DFS.
Not incl shares that were granted too.
They are too high agreed
Without looking swest I thought Neil was on 650k ish but that might not be pounds although I accept there were some performance bonuses to be added which if awarded would take it nearer to your figure..I don't know if the bounus is sp related or not ??
Arguably a bit high swest but I think we have got a fantastic team and they do need to be rewarded well and lets not forget there are many companies with some very suspect personnel at the helm rewarding themselves handsomely to the detriment of shareholders.. I think the raise was prudent given monies from MIIF probably will not arrive until after ratification and any deal for the remaining spod is not expected end Q 1 .. also as stated we do need to be prepared if there is another bid !
I’d imagine it’s a closed period for board with the off-take negotiations.
Spent $4m (based on those renumeration figures)
Raised $8m
So it’ll keep them going ‘til 2025
Maybe they’ll buy some more shares at knock down prices?
Let’s hope that ML is signed soon and such figures are drops in the ocean…
Adoption
It was acknowledged by NH after the AGM as more than 25 % of the votes cast re the Remuneration he said that the board will seek to engage with shareholders to understand rationale for voting against Resolution 1 ie adoptoon of Remuneration Report
Somehow don't think we would be pulling this thread about Exec salaries if the share price was north of 30p......perhaps we should leave it alone, as there are clearly enough waters being muddied already as we close on ratification of the mining licence and floatation on the Ghana stock exchange .

Lol it is bad enough with opposition players in Ghana getting the facts and figures wrong 5toamillion let alone ALL shareholders.. we are giving a lot more than 13 % !!!
Can’t see us getting it without giving more away, I read that some gold mines gave away 30-50% away compared to our 13%
I think the Ghanaian government and particularly the Ministry of Land and Mineral Commission have been doing a very good job of holding meetings and explaining the ML. They know there have been some different opinions, but rather than ignore them they have actively been answering questions and helping people see the benefits of the ML, before bring it to Parliament. I think now ratification will be next year, but that has given time for debate in Ghana. At a press conference a couple of weeks ago the Ministry of Land indicated by the end of Q1 it would come to parliament. It is just sad to see the share price drift down on what is really no news. I think that the run up to Christmas means there is less interest around. Better to enjoy the season and come back in the New Year.
Yes I can see the market hates this uncertainty. Financial projections are great and resource size is increasing.
I hope the media in Ghana ease off with the "we want it all for ourselves" broadcasting.
If there's massive opposition with demonstrations on the streets the present Govt will start counting voters for next election and we'll be in trouble.
Guess I'm stating the obvious but starting to feel frustrated . Lot of selling today.
We can hope this is the darkest hour before dawn. If they ratify the licence and it doesn't rerate, well I'll be really worried.
Back down to 20p, Ghana SE listing, ratification then back up? Cynical but actually hoping that's what happens. Otherwise complete revolution

I am aware that the Spodumene price has dipped due to "improved availability of supply and softer demand pressuring lithium hydroxide and carbonate prices", but as we're not mining yet I don't see why investors would exit or reduce this stock at this time, as it's the Spod price in 2025 that matters, not the current price.
Looking at the DFS I see the following prices, but does anyone have the latest long term forecast or a pointer to a website with recent data? Thanks!
Table 1 EWOYAA DFS KEY METRICS (100% PROJECT BASis2)

Table 12 Summary of Modifying Factors for Ore Reserve Determination
"Spodumene price (SC6.0 and SC5.5 product) $/t 1,587"

Yes very political but somewhat annoying when many including some of the more influential people do not seem to be able to grasp the fundamental points of the agreement
Agree. I hope they sort it out soon as the noise is getting louder. It’s a great deal for them by any measure, but especially ‘normal/historic industry agreements’. Hard to believe they will trip over themselves as there will be a lot of other companies watching and on the fence about doing business there. There’s more at stake for Ghana than just this….. That’s politics though I suppose.
I think until ML is ratified and a lot of the noise surrounding it dies down there could be a bit more turbulence
Not a lot of love for us today,it will change.

Thanks Teddy. Clearly a big push taking place to get this over the line.
GLA and Merry Christmas. DH
The deal is pretty good. It seems the q is is ghana open for business? Or is this all bogus in pursuit of some other goal?
"Some citizens have called for the suspension of the deal on the basis of it not being rewarding enough"
But corporation tax is 35% alone making State income incl 10% royalty of 45%.
Then there's an additional 1% to the community development fund.
That's now 46% of income.
Additionally the 9% MIIF investment was at 20p/s a huge discount. Which is up 20% already.
All the costs have been born by private investors so far. US$185m!
Not to mention the jobs being created, 1000 or so if I remember

Cheers Teddy much appreciated. Looking forward to the future of this company providing Ghana does not give itself an own goal. Good luck all holders.
No bother and thanks for the shout outs....just keep calling it as I see it and spreading the word.
Speculation that MIIF might not stump up until ratification on the Telegram group but no one is sure TBH. Sooner rather than later would be good!
It's all about ratification, offtake agreement and power line diversion for me in Q1 2024.
Just have to keep moving forward in 2024 and ticking boxes and turning down the opposition parties political rhetoric.
Shout out to our main man in (Ingelwood) 🇬🇭 Accra, Ghana - Mincom Martin, top man who is doing a sterling job in spreading the word. The guy came over to Dundee to study for a year, and survived 👏 Don't underestimated this man, keep it up buddy!
Good luck to all holders, no one ever said it was going to be easy...!
Oh and by the way I've been long not happy about the abuse of wealth transfer by the BOD to themselves! I am biting my tongue hard here....!
My post on advn. copied here...I expect ALL to be well eventually!
"Nothing new here .....temporary headwinds ahead....hopefully clear skies and light breeze by 2025...and a M/L ratification long past box ticked!
at least there is the ceramics...lol
Personally I am now underweight...but still here....I expect to top up when spod prices turn back by 100%.....and I expect they will....maybe end 2024....who knows?
https://www.kitco.com/news/2023-12-14/Playing-a-dangerous-game-Rodney-Hooper-on-legacy-automakers-taking-an-EV-breather.html
Teddy top man. May I ask one question please. When are MIIF stumping up the cash or is this a floating scenario yet again as to me I would like a date and this stuff revolving around the retired Lady Justice Akuffo is guff. She may as well blow one and say Ghana is closed for investment…….utter garbage. Cheers for all the research you contribute which is appreciated.
A little bit surprised swest at that comment re sp hair cut as in most cases when a company raises the price often falls back to the raise price and often below it .. I think it very prudent they have for the reasons explained in the rns but probably more than likely they do not want to get caught on the hop if another bid comes in particularly if a bit more aggressive which they would want to defend against
Totally agree with you Swest. Piedmont were up 12% yesterday and the same again today...25% in 2 days! That never happens to us. Good news gets us 2 or 3% if we're lucky and anything negative dessimates our SP. We can only hope that favour eventually turns our way as we get nearer to production.
What would you expect the mkt to price a share that has just issued new capital @ 24p?
"We're as good as fully funded! ? Really? Altho we are assured it will come from a furyher offtake agreement, there is a little matter of c. $40m still needed.
i am baffled how a co that was offered a TO @ 33p a few weeks ago can have needed to discount itself to 24p just for a small raise. Of course the market will reprice accordingly, what else could it do?
It seems to me we are treated viciously by the market
We receive an immediate SP hair cut due to a small raise
Conversely, we add feldspar, clearly value accreditive, and next to no rerate
We're as good as fully funded, one wouldn't think so looking at SP; saw BO off, never got back to 36 since, fell on ML day, it goes on and on.
Like us all, I know I could sell or stay and I stay, but its hard to fathom sometimes.
