Good start to a Monday. A few more of these could start to move things along nicely.
10k buy
My guess is they got caught out like they usually do with ALGW and now need to try and balance the book. Any volume over next few sessions will see them caught out good and proper which would make a nice change.
1.2m buys vs zero sells yet the spread is marked down in the middle of the day?
Odd behaviour. Unless they were hoping to tempt a few sellers after yesterday’s rise.
Everything you need to know is out there, you just need to be willing and able to deep dive far enough to get hold of the information. For example, the identity of the Guernsey acquisition was available for all to see if you were prepared to do the work and find it. The same goes for what's happening now. Unfortunately I don't have the money John Hill and Marcus Alder have to build a 3% stake but I'm sure they've done the research I've done and that's why they've taken yhe positions they have and been required to make the TR1 announcements
2 x TR1, always nice to see considering they are both buyers.
Some positivity from the market at last. Today's price movement just goes to prove how small the actual free float is. The 4 TR1 holders have 35% of the shares, there's a few others holding close to 3% all of whom believe in the company and the potential it has. When the next news release comes it will catch us all out so the sensible course of action is to build a stake whilst the price is down at these levels sub placing price and sub warrant exercise price. Not long until the warrants expire and if they do it removes the possibility of those additional shares coming to market and the subsequent dilution. The company have openly stated they don't anticipate the need to raise funds for additional acquisitions so logically they don't need the funds from an exercise of warrants. It's all lining up nicely as I see it.
On the move 1.55 paid and looking good
Just printed. Delayed from 15.08pm.
Someone wants these.
347K Buy and the 1.4p stock is running low perhaps.
Well its about time this share woke up could just be the start
Oh look, up 8.3%!
Could be an interesting last hour here.
I wonder if Mr Hill has still got his buying trousers on?
Well someone is continuing to add, whoever John Hill might be.
This seems heavily oversold, and May suddenly make a swift recovery, we’ll see.
I seem to recall this can move very quickly when it wants to.
Nice to see a new name on the TR1 holders list
BluePanther, I'm still here waiting patiently for the next bit of news the company will release. The SP is disappointing right now and I can understand people wanting to sell as so far this year absolutely nothing has happened other than 2 sets of results. The team haven't been sat on their backsides doing nothing, although it could appear that way. In his recent presentation GS alluded to the fact that things move slowly in a regulated environment which makes me think they're involved with additional acquisitions but waiting to go public with them as previously, through no fault of theirs, expected and published timescales weren't met. The $2 billion target for AUM is still imho a conservative target which I have every belief they will achieve ahead of target. Market will eventually wake up and the SP will rise to a more realistic level and who knows they may even start paying dividends
Maybe, maybe not. All the discussion around this at the AGM suggested this wasn't a particularly stretching initial target that they expected to beat.
Allenby in their February broker note said: "Alpha does not anticipate that it will need to raise additional equity to secure its current acquisition targets and has demonstrated that there are willing sellers for these types of businesses. These typically consist of operations, some of which are substantial (up to c US$1bn assets) but no longer regarded as core to their growth strategies. Group’s such as Alpha can purchase these legacy insurance portfolios, for nominal sums which allows to book an upfront profit (recorded as ‘profit on bargain purchase’ in the accounts), then receive ongoing fees for management of the underlying assets"
Clearly one large acquisition around $1B AUM would pretty much get them to that target in one jump and as per the latest RNS "... the appointment of Jason Sutherland as a full-time executive has greatly enhanced our ability to identify and undertake due diligence on potential targets."
All that said I was expecting a healthier balance sheet in the interims more in line with the Broker estimates which would support easier leveraging to fund such an acquisition. That may also have led to a share price recovery which would make a placing to support a strategic acquisition more palatable.
Given the interims I'm happy for the board to instead put their focus on driving efficiencies in the group as it stands at the moment ensuring they're working from a profitable base before they land the next acquisition.
Guessing this ain't going to happen
Could well be the reversal only 4 weeks ago we were around 1.90 ?
Must be a big sell order to absorb 1.6 million plus of buys just now, or are we going to see a rapid reversal?
You’ve gone quite Raaydaar!! What’s your view point! You must feeling the pain atm mate.
My this dropping. Has this all been a big scam. A fund that doesn't exist. Seen this before on TV programs. just saying.
Now my average looks crap now at 1.6p do I buy more. The fund is not performing that well. But as purely as a gamble now. Do I add more. Try to believe in this. I don't know what to think, or do on this, now
Getting near all time lows - will it bounce back ?
Gob5h1te needs to go.. zero contempt for shareholders, I’ve said this for years. Unbelievable!!
Maybe, maybe not. No real volume since last Friday when we did see some decent buying.
I also note the trade posted after 16:35 today and the fair few "amended" trades over the past few weeks. There's potentially some interest here behind the scenes.
(don't get me wrong - it's otherwise looking crap...)
Maybe, maybe not. No real volume since last Friday when we did see some decent buying.
I also note the late
