Sp targets 230 and 245 from converging triangle lines break upward. Suitable stop loss say below last price doji candle low and including average true range, would be below 172. The last price bar is a reaction from the preceding day breakout and very large volume. The Japanese doji candlestick, very small body in relation to the range, implies accumulation of the equity. I bought this as it was double the price 5 years ago holding now for the long term
I think with today’s RNS confirming another special dividend we’re going to see that break to 170p soon!
This is my favorite share to hold long term.
Looking at charts. This one looks set to move to yearly high soon and onto 170p.

Nice to see increasing profits and the start of regular dividends. Still off most people’s radar! - but not for long with this positive growth in revenue and outlook.
Alfa is a leaky ship !
Large volumes would indicate a seller has been taken out ahead of this announcement.
Looking forward to the RNS Holding in Company
Nice

The dog is turning. I bought at 65p. Reinvested the special dividend . Be patient. Has good support around 120p. Will be a gradual rise.
Dog is not the work could think of some but cant print them
This stock has been such a dog . It is strictly off most peoples radar , which is a good thing for now.

Check out market wire Berenberg recommendations
Alfa is doing well that valuation is old hat considering they are putting out a 15p SPECIAL div.
Berenberg reiterates sell with a target price of 65.0p
Can anyone confirm or deny this research note?
Seems quite extraordinary as would indicate a 50p PT when ex the special dividend

IC View
Alfa’s half-year results appear to have come as a pleasant surprise judging by the market reaction, which bumped up the shares 15 per cent on results day. Management’s cautious tone in April did not suggest that the company was on track to nearly doubling profits in the first half, while strengthening cash generation has allowed Alfa to boost research and product development spending by a fifth, as well as announce a special dividend of 15p a share. We move to hold.

Any one have any ideas as to why the price has rocketed today by almost 20% so far?
Alfa's Half Year results for the six months ended 30 June 2020 will be announced on 29 September 2020.
Print of 518t @ 78p . Maybe the seller has completed for now . I’m sure more prints to follow.

Anyone Why has this got such a wide spread ???????
Lots of large trades @62.50p. Looks like several institutional sellers and possibly a level that has found some support. Any thoughts?
This has turned in to a right dog

Business highlights:
· Revenue in line with 16 September 2019 guidance, H2 2019 boosted by contractual non-recurring revenue items.
· Year-on-year revenue decline, with operating profits down 39%, due to delays in implementation projects and reduced discretionary spend by customers.
· Strong implementation delivery across seven customer implementations.
· Robust balance sheet position with £59m of cash and no debt.
· Refreshed sales and business development approach delivering conversion of late-stage pipeline opportunities.
· Sustained investment in Alfa Systems' functionality and expansion of partner ecosystem.
· Cost pressures will continue, in competitive market for high-skilled delivery teams, reducing margins in 2020.
· Despite an encouraging start to the year and continued demand for products and services, Covid-19 dictates a conservative outlook for 2020.

Because of this and few other things, I'm back into this one in a small way - hoping to recoup some of the dosh I lost before on the fall from c£5....!

Yes Genuine, that's how I read it
Sorry for the simple question but reading today’s RNS, am I right in thinking that Standard Life increased their stake from zero holding to 5% of total share base?
Seems incredible and makes me think I’m not interpreting the RNS correctly. Any interpretation from a seasoned head would be much appreciated. Thanks
