Why would you say that?
It's all very well to read share tips, but look at the accounts - look at what makes up £75 million intangible assets!
Good luck to all, but I won't be investing.
Having watched this company for more than a year, went to see JB film at WSM Cineworld yesterday. Good film, disappointing experience (snacks at rip-off prices, deafened with more than ten mins ads, blasts of cold air to keep us healthy I suppose) and no more than thirty in the audience.
I've decided against investment, despite low SP.
Very little PI trade and nearly a year without comment. So, should we look forward to Thursday's interim results?
My mistake - my £100k should have read £100m!
... but that's one tenth of the billion which CHRI55 was thinking.
You may be right, or maybe right off! But from my reading of the last published accounts, the write-off required would be less than £100k.
Oh dear, it wasn't an increase, quite the opposite, as their holding is down to 6% now.
Quoting from Bloomberg just before the IPO:
'Amazon will own 11.5% of Deliveroo following its listing, down from the 15.8% it holds now, according to the prospectus for the sale. That implies the retailer could sell as many as 23.3 million shares, which at 4.60 pounds each -- the top end of the range at which Deliveroo is marketing the stock -- would be worth 107 million pounds, according to Bloomberg calculations.'
As they say - DYOR
'what happens to our shares?'
Well, nothing really. The share capital of the company doesn't change when it goes private; it just means they cannot be publicly traded on an open market (like AIM).
A lot of shares were issued in a debt-for-equity swap a few years ago, so I'm hoping those prior lenders may be prepared to wait a couple of years then (if cash flows in from sales) maybe get paid a dividend (along with little me).
So what's the purpose of all the tiny volume trades today?
...so I just bought 1,000 at 37.9p...
Erm... looks like someone just bought 15% of the company?
Ex-div 15th October (per the RNS - if you read a bit further down...).
I'm waiting for their accounts to be filed - Companies House deadline is 30 September for Y/E 31/12/19.
No clues on their website - but it gets updated which at least it indicates they are still in business!
... but I've been wrong before.
Less than 2 years since IPO - numbers look sound (says the retired accountant) - directors well invested - no obvious imminent threats to business, given current conditions or worsening as expected.
Yet the already low SP drops 16% today. Maybe it's the lack of track record?
We'll see when results come in next month, but I'm staying optimistic.

Maybe people are beginning to realise this is good stuff!

"Yesterday I thought I should take some gains to use my CGT allowance by selling a tranche at 30p, only to watch the SP rocket to 38p before I could B&B them back into my holding. "
Erm... you can't. Best you acquaint yourself with current rules on UK taxation; seems you can afford it!
Wouldn't it be funny if all these recent trades reported as sells turned out to be buys.
I'm quite looking forward to next week.
I hope we are not mad! Having taken the decision to 'top up' to 100,000 shares on the last day of trading, that brought down my average to much less than the issue to swap debt.
My thoughts align with yours and I hope for a reasonable return in the time frame suggested - maybe by way of dividends when cash flow turns positive.
So today over 3.5 million shares, in 497 trades (almost all automatic execution) and the price moves ever so slightly. What will happen next?
At work years ago, we used to say "RTFM" - guess that changes now to "Read the f(ree) RNS" with apologies to Blowntobits - "The Company also has a satellite payload, HYLAS 2-B, which it has operated since November 2016 under an indefeasible right of use agreement entered into in June 2015 with another satellite operator, as well as a payload on the ESA's EDRS-C satellite, HYLAS 3, which is currently under construction and continues to experience delays and is now expected to launch in the first half of 2019 (although such date is subject to change). As of 30 June 2017, the Company had incurred approximately US$49.5 million and expected to incur an additional US$37.5 million in connection with the construction and launch of HYLAS 3." The full RNS contains masses of info - enough for me to take (another) gamble... gla
