And what rationale do you offer ? I've never shorted any share.

As an old retired accountant, I've looked at Provident published numbers & thought it may be worth a punt. But as a voluntary adviser I see people who are (or were) Provident customers, and some of the computer-generated letters that Provident is pumping out. This tells me either their systems are not working, or the people behind them are in a mess. Either way, I'm not buying yet; They may be "cheap as chips" but it's my opinion that these shares have further to fall.

Last Saturday, I was one of the 4 million/year visitors to Clarks Village in Street and was well impressed by Pittards shop - their first retail outlet. Bought a leather book bag - exquisite quality at an attractive price. Bodes well for the future I think.
