The lse buy/sell chart is useless.
.0068 is a buy today, the sint trades have distorted the actual view of the market yet again.
Look at this fly, not :(
Looks promising. I bought a small amount earlier this morning but its not showing at all on the buy/sell chart.
Dolgellau Gold Exploration Update
New Targets Identified Through Airborne Magnetic Surveys
Alba Mineral Resources Plc (AIM: ALBA) is pleased to announce three gold targets which have been identified from the review and interpretation of the first part of the magnetic data generated during Alba's recent airborne magnetic survey of certain high-priority gold targets across the Dolgellau Gold Belt ("DGB"). Two of the targets are located within the envelope of the Company's 100% owned Clogau-St David's Gold Mine in north Wales ("Clogau" or the "Mine") and represent the potential definition of new drill targets within the Mine. The third target has been identified on a fault that extends 4 km northeasterly in the DGB and thus falls within the Company's 100% owned Dolgellau Gold Exploration Project.
Key Points
· Alba commissioned airborne magnetic surveys over the Clogau, Castell Carndochan and Hafod Owen prospects, located in the DGB. These were flown between November 2023 and January 2024.
· As the target gold quartz veins are not magnetic, proxy structures (as in proxies for gold) are looked for in the magnetic data. In the case of Clogau and the DGB, discontinuities in the magnetic sill basement can be used as proxy markers for the possible presence of mineralised quartz veins and therefore worthy of further ground investigations.
· The two in-mine targets may merit follow-up underground drilling to define potential new economic zones of mineralisation. The third target will be subjected to basic ground exploration involving geochemical sampling and mapping and ground-truthing for the presence of any outcropping quartz vein.
· These new targets identified to date only relate to one part of the completed airborne magnetic survey. The interpretation of the survey data over the Carndochan and Hafod Owen prospects is awaited and will be reported on in due course.
Mark Austin, Alba's COO and Senior Geologist, commented:
"The airborne magnetic survey that we recently carried out over some of our key targets over the DGB is the first survey of its kind since the regional survey that was undertaken by the British Geological Survey in the early 1970s. Given advances in technology, this latest survey has revealed a lot more detail than was generated by that earlier survey. Thus, we now have data guiding us to the identification of specific exploration targets.
"The three targets that we have identified over the Clogau-St Davids survey area make a lot of sense in the context of the overall geological model we have developed over the years. From the drilling we carried out in 2021, we were able to identify vein structures parallel to the main Clogau vein, and this has now been corroborated by the aeromagnetic survey data. The advantage of two of the targets being in-mine is that we should be able to access them by the drilling of some short holes from the existing underground development, a much quicker and most
I hope they come through but I'm not putting any money near this management team ever
Wasnt too many years ago people were talking about it reaching 5p to 10p, now most would be happy with .5 p lol, happy easter to all
Yes it will have a cost and a cost exceeding the Current funds.
Your forgetting
• the majority of the mine is built so lower costs than a normal mine they will need to extend existing shafts and drive a few adits. Where at level 4 and the gold on previous sampling is about level 5/6
• premium on gold price
•this is not supposed to be a big operation small and steady production carefully controlling the market to keep the premium intact so will be more slow rather than some big mines certainly not 800mil a year which I would put in the medium sized mine.
I suggest you do some research else you maybe disappointed if you think this will be moving at the same speed and size of other gold companies in the sector.
Ask yourself how much will it cost to mine 1oz of gold then work out how much gold they need to break even.
Idiot.
Get your facts right before posting, the mine is already there, it won’t cost 800 million, your bloody dreaming
Total idiot
New man in charge of the Welsh Government now, give him a chance.
Coming back a bit currently:
https://www.kitco.com/charts/gold
This will never be an 800 million pound mine. The locals won’t allow it. The Welsh government won’t allow it, the environmental weirdos won’t allow it. It will only ever be a small hole in the ground.
Don't waste your time or money on Alba, find something else. You might get some good tips from Baron Investments on Twitter. This has nearly 8bn shares in issue so a consolidation is coming. How much money do you think they need to build a working mine? £100m £200m probably more like £800m.
PLEASE PLEASE take with a pinch of salt( a giant pinch!) anything DL says. See what he said about the `Gatwick gusher`! I am not saying there is no potential at Clogau,I have
visited the site on 2 occasions over the years and have high hopes of a 10 bagger here.

Simon Dominy was working at Clogau during the Stellar short stay at Dolgellau. Renowned authority of Clogau Gold Mine.
David Lenigas couldn't cope with the Red tape with Natural Resources Wales.
Alba have had 3 years of Red tape but have developed a Good relationship with NRW and the Local Councillors and MP Liz Saville-Roberts.
There's Gold in those Hills :)
David Lenigas just Spiked Stellar sp. Like with all he's Company's.. Regrettably Horse Hill
April 2013
"To call the gold grades reported by Stellar Resources (LON:STG) this morning bonanza might be under-egging the latest assay results from Gold Mines of Wales, in which Stellar has a 49.9% stake.
The most eye-catching sample from the re-opened Clogau mine in the Principality was 749 grams per tonne of the precious metal, which equates to 24 ounces per tonne.
A total of 16 of the 31 samples assayed better than 31 grams per tonne of gold, while 15 were above 62 grams and 10 above 93 grams.
Stellar chairman David Lenigas said: "The team in Wales continue to gradually re-open the underground workings at the old Clogau Gold Mine.
“These high grade gold samples from Clogau provide encouragement that the potential still exists to define new high grade gold mineralisation.
"In the current environment of declining gold prices, grades of this magnitude make Stellar Resources' Welsh gold project something the board feels committed to progressing."
Wow you weren't joking: Ivornomoney
"Feb 2013
Stellar Resources advanced on news it discovered high grade gold samples at the Clogau Gold Mine in Wales.
the company said it received promising first assay results from the venture though its 49.9% interest in Gold Mines of Wales. Assay results from underground grab samples ranged from 263 grams/tonne of gold to 11.65 grams/tonne.
The mine has the potential to contain other high grade pockets of gold in areas that have yet to be tested. Further samples will be taken from the surrounding area and a planned drill programme is very much the focus for 2013."
10 years later the same playbook being run
Of course it's not to say Alba wont actually find something economical and deliver but it certainly makes you think.
Oh dear !
What's Stellar got to do with Alba. 2 different Company's. Stellar had no interest to Mine at Clogau They're an investment company now called Primorus Investments.
After Covid, now with a Great working relationship with NRW, 2024 will be an interesting year.
I have met Mark Austin in Dolgellau, a Top Geologist who believes in Clogau Gold mine.
Now with GreenRoc Mining having the Greenlandic Projects.. Alba can truly focus on the Gold.
This will never come good. This will only ever make money for the employees. Google stellar resources to find out how long this has been going on.
"It's a phenomenally good result (the results from March 26th RNS) no it's not a decision that leads us to reopen the mine, we need to go and do the bulk sampling below level 4 to find a much bigger zone of that kind of grade, but it gives us a lot of confidence in the ability to find that grade"
Maybe a dumb question, what are they looking for when they look these zones? areas of quartz? if they knew these zones would be too small to be economical even with fantastic grades of 113g g/t (I'm not sure you could hope for higher) what was the purpose of sampling them to begin with? surely save your time, money and resources to sample areas that could be economical
an RNS they release of "hey everyone look at these fantastic results" aren't fantastic results because they aren't economical to mine? they're meaningless other than raising hope there could be economical areas to mine that have yet been identified
The placing shares don’t come to market until the 5th so that is incorrect.. if you wish to buy at a similar price to them thinking GF will raise the price for his mates soon after the SP is at a level where you pretty much can!
Been like this for 10 years. Also, when they have had bad news, they have brought out numerous rnss to boost the sp beforehand to bail out before the bad one. A good example was an rns every day for 4 days before the first dewatering refusal. I do think that things will start going our way soon but will the sp rise enough so that everyone who has bought shares here over the years see some profit?
CJEN this is AIM. In reality what probably happened is that GF did a fund raise with his mates at .065. He let them know the good news RNSs were coming and would raise the price circa 30% and they sold their placing shares into the price rise making a handsome profit and leaving us PIs holding the baby as they pocketed our hard earned.
