Why is the share price bombing coming up to the ex div date?I'm confused, but then that doesn't take much.
Won't make much difference other than acquiring a good development team and pipeline.
The new team will probably be 'thinned out'.
Cap val of additional properties is de minimis.
Love this company, does anyone know how the construction of the surgeries are impacted by Covid? Is it causing any delays?
Or short a share? Though BA. does pay a dividend that isnt pid taxed.
The properties are medical centers backed by long leases to GPs, and some extent pharmacies. The Leases are set at the rate of the rent that the GPs get from the government. So they are not government backed, in fact they are better. The leases are to the doctors so that even if the NHS stops paying the rents the doctors are still liable, so the rents will be paid unless the NHS stops paying and the doctors go bankrupt. At that point your best investment is in razor wire and shot guns.
This is not a surgery. Its a low liquidity property company. Like the ones woodford invested in. Low debt admittedly.
there's a lot of care homes at risk of closing although surgery's are a different league
Its only a matter of time before doctors start imitating the retailers. If im honest, I dont have a short on this share but in my experience anything that is dependent on government handouts has its risks. Thanks for your positivity.
how's that short going?
It's woken up recently though.
Vital sector
Growing dividend
Reassuring policies on borrowing.
Looking good for H2
Lse p/e 16.405, google p/e 16.58, ft p/e 55. Which to pick. How about an average of the three. Price Earnings 51.318. Shorters dream.
just ripe for a PHP takeover ?
two year low...
Seems to be a forgotten share. Looks like the mgt are doing what they are supposed to and deliver a decent and more importantly a sustainable yield! They appear to be operating in the right place of the U.K. healthcare sector.
56 mill. Impairment to clear 211 mill. debt. All but 40% of year end profit. A bit eye watering that. No wonder share price has dipped. Think I'll leave this for the moment. D.
Yes good company - steady but not likely to provoke an up reaction unless there is a major development pipeline expansion. It has gone down slightly on the back of the div declaration yesterday. Mathematically, it will go down by just over 1%. This would explain the decrease on opening this morning.
Down today early on good results... I don't mind though, good solid well run business in a vital sector.. more shares than usual collected with quarterly div at these prices. I like their policies: steadily rising div and rent roll and never more than 50% LTV. Hold.
Bought 2000 in January at average price of 62.6p after dealing costs etc. Not sure this was a wise move. But live in hope as usual.
Surprising there was no negative impact to the share price on completion of the near 10% placement at 60p last week. Be interesting to see what the resultant £94m. is used for. D.
This took time, I'll buy some when funds are in SIpp, nice steady, increasing divi and good growth prospects.
this share is going to start moving again soon. its results are great and plenty extra now to go at!!
58p is taking some breaking here
It's a vexing issue that will never be fixed. Please don't join the 'bee in the bunnet' brigade about this buy or sell dilemma. It's just the way it is. Just enjoy your share dealing and don't develop a picking strategy that puts reported buy and sell totals front and centre they are proved to be lnaccurate. Good hunting sir. D.
How come a sale of 6.3 million shares has just been executed and yet the share price has gone up? Can anyone offer an explanation. Ian new at this game
A lot of Pi's have a ' bee in there bunnet ' about this. As we strongly suspect buy and sell figures are routinely manipulated what I do when I'm updating my watch list spreadsheet is subtract 15% from the sells total and add 15% to the buys total. I don't know if that gives much more of an accurate figure than the totals reported elsewhere but I don't see it can be worse. I place more emphasis on the completed trades total rather than buy or sell totals but I feel I need some idea if a company is over bought or over sold before I buy or sell. We all do it differently I enjoy the subjectivity in share dealing. Feel like a prince when I get it right and a dunce when I get it wrong. Good Hunting JG. D.
