The hint I believe was in what Colin described you wouldn’t mention Congo type mineralisation in unless you had discovered something to match it
I don’t know what (if anything) is going on. I am of the view that:
- we are absurdly cheap for a copper explorer with masses of prospective land and two JVs with a major and a nearly major
- the October update from FQ was very promising
- if we have a good set of drill results from FQ we should go up 5-10x from here
- if we get a monster drill result there’s no reason why we couldn’t do 50-100x over a period of time (think GGP, SOLG etc)
Exciting to find out! Massively undervalued even if the next FQ update were to turn out to be low key
Intriguing. A breakout on no news ?. Bulletin boards quiet and Colin's other companies doing nothing. Something must be up ?
When Colin mentioned we are in Congo type ground
I had a feeling they had discovered something really big
In the weekend Sunday Roast podcast they mentioned the 3 month update from FQ is due shortly.
Firstly first quantum assays could be amazing
Secondly sandfire assays could be amazing
Thirdly. News on AFP starting their own copper mine
But with 2 majors on board both aggressively drilling and eager to get the job done and Colin saying we could have a Congo size of discovery this has to be the best opportunity on AIM at present
Good news coming ?
Normally I have Allways seen my trades But I am aware it goes on especially if their is a large orders to fill or sell so not to spook the market
and looking at the trades their is strong demand here.
They appear to be hiding trades here as I purchased the unknown trade of 195000 but why hide it
Strange how it shows on here no purchases but I purchased this morning, strange
More likely to be recovering by tracking the POC. Up 20% in a month and a positive price forecast for the next 2 years at least.
There was a quick run up from about 2.7 to 3.4 in a day, about a month or more ago, and I wondered then if someone knows something. Wondering that again today. Speculation, of course. But I’m more than happy with the value here in any event. Over at ARCM they all think that a JV with Anglo for their Zambia project is going to propel them well above £50m MCAP. And here we are, with a JV with FQ already in the bag for our Zambia project, and we’re on just over £5m MCAP. Just my view of course, DYOR
Things could get exciting now if results are comeing in
It's amazing how this share can move on such little volume and clearly the two trades today have been purchases despite what the this site suggests.
Ticking up nicely again. Long may it continue.
Good to see a little action on this share. Although I don't own a lot of these I will be looking to add should the sp drop back again to around 2.8p. Too often I have chased sp's as they rose only to have the sp fall again. I plan to be patient. If the sp soars then great. I wont have a lot of shares but they will be profitable. If the sp drops, I'll buy in again.
About time this started to move copper is getting harder to find in large amounts and AFP have a potential Congo size discovery which would transform this company
Hi Metalhead,
Yes, looks promising. I'm pleased to see that the majors here will be doing a lot of the heavy lifting as I'm always wary of dilution with finance minor explorers. Still, if there is a global recession and Cu takes a while to head north, those with the patience to accumulate shares in companies like AFP over the next year or so should be well rewarded.
Keep the faith !
Hi Cygnus, welcome. I haven’t been here all that long either, but have high hopes. If you look at the 24 October RNS, it seems to me that:
- the Cu in soil numbers are amazing
- 75m of mineralisation in a pathfinder hole is very promising, and subject to grade better than what many companies exploring Africa copper belts have recently managed (eg Cobre - and they flew on their results)
- the planned deep drill offers the possibility of a outlandish result
Hi Metalhead, I think we know each other from other sites. Hope you are well.
I have now bought my first batch of shares in this company (the ~73,000) from this morning. Interestingly I had to buy via a negotiated deal and ended up paying a lot more than I was anticipating. Also, I asked for 75K but only had enough for 73K (due to the higher price than expected) so I see that there was a cancelled purchase for 75k before the 73k was completed. Hoping for positive news in the near future.
The market cap here is out of all proportion to the circumstances of the company. I’m convinced this is a very rare opportunity which only exists because the company’s soft comms are woeful (rare for that to be a positive but I think it is here, in terms of creating the opportunity which now exists). We have an amazing land package. We have an ability to start our own small mine in Namibia for cash flow. We have two massive partners for Botswana and Zambia. The numbers in the October update from FQ look extremely promising. In my view a company with good comms would have a market cap three times higher than this going into the next update from FQ. Then if that update is good, who knows
3.5p is the first marker before next leg up.
News could make this fly or has Colin been a bit premature.
Let’s hope 2023 is not only Colin’s year but our year also I have a great feeling about AFP that it is going to blow all expectations when results are released and wouldn’t be surprised to see us in a bidding war between majors good luck all !
Decided to have a small dip into this company after hearing a few good reviews over recent months only to find the market had closed - Dohh...
O.K, I'll wait until the new year. From Cb's Sunday roast chat it seems there's lots of news due in the new year.
Good news flew coming up, by the sounds of it. A good update from First Quantum could put a rocket under this. Cobre went to an Mcap of £50m odd on a few good African copper belt drill results, that would be a short term 10-bagger here. Plus we have two massive partners already
