The company are looking to provide value to shareholders, the board has enough money to invest elsewhere and ensure this happens. AFE wont be delisted not yet anyway!. These guys are working hard in background (members on board have money dyor)...an announcement will be made soon imo. At these levels any positive news will lift the share price. They have changed registered office but still use old office...Ideally we'd like news on Dutwa......
1,000,000Buy and a few 2 mlllion buys - over past weeks
If not a mining company, but an investment company, what exactly is the management planning to invest in? Is this the management needed to take forward the company, since they are the ones that created this mess in the first place. Does anyone know if there is still a management team?
I can't tell you much.Tthere's 60% or so main shateholders-is that up to date ? ,Allard still have got the most.21% then Coburg 12%..yes they are no longer miners but an investment company.871m issued Ord. shares but 930m fully diluted. The shares lost 88.75% in a year.On iii there are 3 posts in 2 months.Market cap. from google £1.85m.In Sept.AFE raised £300,000 by a placing.at a then 41.5% discount for general working needs..Yhey hold 10 pecent of the Blackdown Minerals shares.Sorry need to go now fo technical reasons see you..GL
I don't think it can be classed as a miner. It doesn't mine or plan to mine anything. It just invests in companies that do. Mogo, do you have any idea if any progress is being made on any front with AFE? They are incredibly quiet. I suppose with limited funds there is only a limited amount they can do.
a good snapshot of the mining sector- I may have said this before- is using" iii sectors" type that in.Once you find the correct site, click on the blue bar for "mining" and then on "constituents" then change "Alphabetically" to "By Value".There are around 170 mining shares listed in order for a day,a week etc by your choice. What I take is that unlike months ago we now see up to half are recovering.Notice AFE IS NOT IN THE LIST.Where is it ? For that you need to go to the sector "Industrial Metals" by a similar approach.GL
Aaah the old days! You ARE all among the best people on LSE,and it was a happy thread here most of the time. Not so much now of course.I survive mainly in gold shares though still a good bit down mostly.Mind, many types of miners are beginning to revive so some smaller ones might have hope..all the best to you all personally GL.
Still clinging on here. Got out of PPA with about a couple hundred loss loss and put in PCI. Am in CGNR now, worth a look. Look carefully at history, but as ever DYOR . Reckon all but 1 down on AIM but my TPK is a life save LOL
http://www.lse.co.uk/share-regulatory-news.asp?shareprice=AFE&ArticleCode=kt8q25pb&ArticleHeadline=African_Eagle_Resources_PLC_Grant_of_Options http://www.africaneagle.co.uk/corporate-board.asp Interesting to see that all of the Non-Executive Directors (except Robert McLearon) do not currently receive any fee or salary in relation to their position on the Board Bodes well for maintaining the meagre funds that are currently in place. Bad point, Options means further dilution.
I hope you guys are ok? You have the patience of Job on this share! Most of my holding is with RRL, which was £4k has dwindled down to the value of a a few MacBurgers:( The AIM is not good unless you bought Royal Mail. GL mate. Photo.(RRL/MTA/ASTA...but sold Asta when it was PPA..a good move but still lost a few hundred.
Hi guys.am new to this.but why we pi do stand together.if you see what jubilee plat pi are doing.sell your shares say at £1.if we all do this. There be no shares for the brokers to borrow to sell on shorts. They are playing with us.so maybe it is time to do something!
Another crazy day of trading. Still no response from AFE to my emails. They are a disgrace. I want to sell out, but given how far my shares have dropped in value and the fact that I still believe that there is a chance of something major happening with Dutwa, I will probably stick it out for now.
Thanks for the mention. We all need to earn a crust, either for its own sake or to counteract the heavy losses all AFE-ers have suffered the last 4-5 years. Thus it is essential to have alternatives.I believe gold shares will be that.If I'm wrong I'll try to stay in sharedealing, despite my AFE history and elsewhere.I doubt if many have made real profits overall the last few years which have been quite fatal. Yes we were attracted by brave words and high hopes,I was guilty of that too.Yes this once reached 17p which seems a far time away now.And there were many friends here who have now departed.I remember them all, those were good times. I said this was no better a bet than putting your money on a horse. GL
http://www.britishbulls.com/SignalPage.aspx?lang=en&Ticker=AFE.L ................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the buy was confirm since last week and still no impact . and today over 5million bought
Also, the buys don't seem to be having any significant impact on the share price.
I saw that article. I am not sure if there was any significance in the article which mentioned AFE developing a mine which will produce 27,000 tonnes per annum a.) because that is all the article said about AFE and b.) because it is not really AFE that are behind this any more. I have attached the article below. More buys coming through. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/01/22/tanzania-mining-idUKL5N0KW1UY20140122

REFILE-Tanzania seeks shares in uranium, nickel mines * Foreign firms engaged in uranium, nickel mining* Raises gas reserves estimates by 4 trln cubic feet* Sees law to create sovereign wealth fund this y [1 Hour Ago]
The AIM-listed African Eagle Resources Plc is developing a nickel mine in northern Tanzania with the capacity to produce around 27,000 tonnes per annum of nickel.
There was also a 2 million buy last week. I wonder if something is going on in the background that we don't know about. Any thoughts?
Interesting that the Directors Salaries seem to have been really well buried. Can we be led to believe that they are not drawing a hefty trousering or might they ,for a change on A I M ,being honest and honourable ?
