The discussion board always takes a downturn when the SP goes that way with accusations of trolling, manipulation and various conspiracies. When it goes up we volt face into hysteria such as "HERE WE GO!!!" "£1 in site!" and "THE BRAKES ARE NOW OFF!!!".
It is frustrating though because we are back into the rinse and repeat cycle as it will now erode back to around 20. How boring. Of course upwards into pounds would be great but I wouldn't mind too much if it went down to the teens so I could purchase more! So, could the manipulators (life there are any) walk it back down to 10p so i can buy a load more and lower my average or better still could someone back at HQ make a big sale - PLLLEEEAAASSSEEE before i die of boredom. Thanks :)
I wouldn't wear your long-term-holder status like it's a little sheriff badge, everyone has equal rights to post here.
Also, weren't you were just checking in before leaving to avoid the bickering Muscorum, you see to be fomenting it.
is that some prerequisite to posting ?
Who are you referring to Mus ?
Well put Rooky,
ppl are reluctant to post..... in fear of violent attacks by the afc Krays.
Where are we with the electrode warranty?
All of these comments demonstrate the need for a detailed interview of AB about AlkaMem progress, an updated broker fair value to reflect AlkaMem and the genset market, and a proper use of the blog/social media etc.
I doubt we all agree 100%, with some having totally opposite views.
Why not just state those views, once or if needed several times, which by their content will show that you agree or disagree.
No problem of course answering others, but why do some just continually argue, as all it does is stop some posting altogether, or at best, result in many just skimming through posts, perhaps in doing so, missing out on the odd relevant and interesting points.
Quite often our views are lead by news, good and bad, and I know that on the odd occasion, seeing my share value go downward, sometimes, quite steeply, that affects my views of the company in a far more negative way than it should.
When the sp goes in the opposite way, again it affects my views, sometimes making those views too positive, again affecting my posts.
We as human beings don't always think in clear terms of good/bad news and comment accordingly.
Discussions, even those that disagree, is not the same as arguing.
There are many on here, that I look forward to reading their posts, some who have the same or similar views, some who don't.
As to those who talk rubbish, pro or con toward AFC, they can easily be put on ignore.
So lets get this thread back to the grown up discussion platform that it tended to be, as personally, I would hate to miss out on good info, or/and good views, for or against.
Again BB this is all about clear and concise information, most investors in this tech are not knowledgeable enough to fully understand every aspect or significance of these announcements and they should be worded and aimed at the layman, I do wonder whether Adam Bond truly understands which could be why we never get the full picture from RNSs and most of them leave us with more questions than answers. As I pointed out earlier, looking at the AFC website you (maybe not you but certainly me) would think Alkamem is a finished product for sale, I still don’t know if this is actually the case
investigate is up to date. Nothing for us today.
Seems the RNS machine is broken. Just checked London Stock Exchange site here (LSE.co.uk) and it appears there is not a single RNS across the entire markets this morning. Technical fault perhaps ?
This is not the first time we’ve heard that we have incredible performance during R&D to then later find out after ‘scaling up’ that actually sorry, it’s not that good, electrode life being a good example
BB while Red Hornets comments may be slightly confused this is partly due I feel to the way the RNSs are worded, if you are going to release an Alkamem update as an RNS then it should be as thorough as possible. I agree with another post that this could have just been an update on the blog rather than an RNS as there’s no major news in it, unless the sales of Alkamem are a big deal in which case this should have been more firmly asserted.
As RH pointed out AFC have a history of announcing world beating disruptive technology only for it to disappear and never be heard of again and then later announcing a new world beating technology but still never managing to get any contracts from all these world class products
Red. If you have bought shares based on a “this time next year...” comment then you are the only one to blame as you will not have done your own research.
Besides, if you truly believe in the company and it’s prospects, you have bought in at a level (the SP has clearly reached that level previously), then it is likely to reach that level again as we receive more news. It just won’t happen in the timeframe you might have hoped for. I have bought in over the past 10 years at all sorts of levels. In hindsight I have regretted some of those, but with some averaging down and a lot of faith that the SP will return as a result of facts we know about, our investments and commitment will come good. Good luck.
You are truly deluded. I’m heavily invested here and losing patience, however I’ve a 33p average.
I noticed you avoided the comment about all of your jam tomorrow and ramping comments you’ve made over the last decade. This time next year rodders.....
You do realise some people will have bought on those comments, maybe just stick to the facts.
Besides, if it’s such a disruptive technology and they had loads of interest before November, where’s the contracts. You don’t need to have delivered the goods to release details of a Contract!
Good points well made red hornet
Muscorum, regarding your comments....So just another third-rate stock basher. Stop wasting our time.
Based on what? I’ve £45k invested here, so entitled to an opinion as much as you; who constantly bangs on about how amazing things are going to be one day. Have a look at the RNS from nearly 8 months ago:
- AlkaMemTM set to be a truly disruptive technology in the field of alkaline water electrolysis with evidence supporting a sizable increase in hydrogen production efficiency.
Now we have this:
· Excellent power density maintained utilising scaled up AlkaMemTM membrane, reflecting performance seen amongst alternative high-density fuel cell technologies.
So not all that disruptive then, just comparable. Also, back in November, they claimed to have:
- Commercial enquiries already received for prospective licensing or sale of AlkaMemTM membrane technology into non-fuel cell markets, including alkaline water electrolysis.
Given that they also said this:
· Prototype membrane manufacturing capability in place at AFC Energy's Surrey headquarters.
Why have they only manufactured samples - zero orders when they’d already had interest; maybe months prior to releasing this....who knows?
You used the word ‘likely’, meaning you’ve no more idea than the rest of us?? We seem to go from being certain, to likely and then, let’s just start again or do more testing.
Sometimes it’s better to be open, honest and state the facts, rather than trying to make empty predictions. I do wonder how many people have lost thousands of pounds buying in to this share on some of your a crystal ball analysis. Sorry if you don’t like my comments, but It’s a fair and honest reflection of the last 10 years.
Cheers
should this not be cover by an RNS
PV3 and AFC are listed as project partners in the details of grant here
https://gow.epsrc.ukri.org/NGBOViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/T009233/1
i can see why you joined those dots Klunk.
You are of course correct muscorum....they are not listed as partners ...i merely asked a question....sometimes we are left to make assumuptions ....we all make them ...even you ....its part of the evolution process of AFC .....it seemed to be a reasonable assumption to me as in the RNS yesterday they said ... "The Company has consolidated its membrane team with new recruits from a mixture of PEM fuel cell / engineering backgrounds and are building an expert team across the anion exchange membrane technology field, now reporting directly to the Company's Chief Operating Officer". is it just pure coincedence that PV3 Tech have recently sent a anion membrane sample for trial in Italy ...and they are certainley prodject partners in the program with Professor Varcoe.....this is why i asked a simple question .
So are PV3 Technologies our new partners ?....they are PEM water electrolysers developers.....and have a AEM on trial in Italy.... https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/875024
Yes that was original link .Have you looked at my link i just posted
ITM are working on the same tech also I believe pushing their cap £1.2bn+ That’s a benchmark
I think was it https://gow.epsrc.ukri.org/NGBOViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/T009233/1
