Siemens Gamesa is due to supply 69 of its turbines with power ratings of 11MW with rotor diameters of 200 metres, to supply at least 3.3TWh per year.
Shell and Dutch energy company Eneco won a tender to build the subsidy-free 759MW Hollandse Kust Noord. They plan to use some of the project's output to power a 200MW electrolyser.
The two companies, who combined as Crosswind consortium, said the project would be online in 2023.
"102 Siemens Gamesa turbines, erected off the Suffolk coast in the North Sea, will be generating enough power to supply over 630,000 households annually. The project has won a 15-year contract for difference (CfD), guaranteeing stable revenues.
TRIG said the acquisition will bring the share of offshore wind investments in its portfolio to 29%.
“The investment fits well into the Company's investment strategy, providing subsidised revenues for the next 15 years, lowering overall power price sensitivity of the portfolio and strengthening the Company's position in the attractive offshore wind market,” the buyer said about its fourth investment in the offshore wind sector and second in UK offshore wind."

Siemens Gamesa has signed a new deal for its 5.X platform in Sweden, further consolidating these wind turbines as the leading technology in one of the largest and most sophisticated wind markets in the world. The company will deliver seven SG 5.8-170 and four SG 5.8-155 to wind power developer Eolus Vind AB in a highly customized solution. Both companies have worked closely together to optimize the configuration of the wind turbines, which will be delivered in different power ratings thanks to the OptimaFlex technology, as well as varying tower heights.
The wind turbines will be delivered to three different sites: Rosenskog (17,8 MW), Dållebo (26,4 MW) and Boarp (24,2 MW), all located in southern Sweden, close to the city of Jönköping. Installation is scheduled for 2023 and all three projects will be covered by a 15-year service agreement. Both in terms of installed capacity and rotor diameter these will be the largest wind turbines Eolus has used to date.
Since its debut order in the country back in December of 2019, the company has accumulated deals totaling over 431 MW for its Siemens Gamesa 5.X platform in Sweden. The Siemens Gamesa 5.X combines the best of the company’s engineering schools, producing a technologically superior wind turbine built on proven solutions to reduce risks. Once commissioned, the eleven units of the platform will generate enough clean electricity to meet the demand of over 56,000 European households and avoid CO2 equivalent to taking 113,000 diesel cars off the roads.

HYDROGEN from wind farms. SIEMENS GAMESA builds world behemoth wind turbines. Link that to SIEMENS ENERGY company providing hydrogen electrolysers with each project !
Some companies are behind the 8 ball. Picking the global leaders in both sectors is the key to making a good retirement.
"MHI Vestas has been one of the globe’s most successful offshore wind turbine manufacturers since it was formed in 2014 as a 50-50 joint venture between Vestas and Japanese engineering giant Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), and is one of the few manufacturers focusing only on offshore wind.
However, MHI Vestas is currently behind the 8-ball, in terms of technological innovation and the race to be selling the world’s largest capacity offshore wind turbine, with rivals Siemens Gamesa announcing in May a 14MW, 222-metre behemoth, and GE following up its 12MW Haliade-X offshore wind turbine with an uprated 13MW version."

HYDROGEN targetting SIEMENS ENERGY spin off from Siemens is quckly spreading its Hydrogen technology and capabilities worldwide. The next 12 months will see this undervalued company involved in many new contracts as they look to secure a large portion of the global electrolyser Hydrogen market and "Green & Blue and Grey" Hydrogen production.

"Going green with hydrogen
These are some of the challenges that are being investigated at the Zero Emission Hydrogen Turbine Centre, based at Siemens Energy’s Finspång facility in Sweden.
The facility is home to the development, manufacturing and testing operations of the company’s mid-size industrial turbines and the centre is part of an EU-funded study to develop a gas turbine test facility as a zero-emission demonstrator plant."
Remember my post on AFRICA...
"Gas turbines can support the grid with frequency control and support to stabilise a grid with lots of intermittent renewable energy. Energy storage in the future will most probably be a mix of many different solutions and in this scenario stored hydrogen will play an important role."

AFRICAN HYDROGEN. Why is this venture a blockbuster for an investor ?
Siemens already have several independant mining companies and large industrial construction companies that use high levels of electric which is VITAL for continuous production.
African electricity production is well known to be in great flux most of the time, meaning large fossil fuel generators and solar are having to be used to cover the main supply. Across the whole continent, this is an issue , extremely bad in many countries.
The answer ?
Independant power sources and in this age " green" power sources that operate away from a reliance on local power supply , thus removing the stop start inefficient methods currently involved in most major mines, construction projects and basic City living using technology.
Newely spun off Siemens Energy is to VERY SPECIFICALLY targetting this market which could actually be larger than China !
I would highly recomend investors in hydrogen have a very good look and deep research the huge potential here and from a global , proven company. They very rarely fail.
A SOLID BUY at these prices.
HYDROGEN - SIEMENS ENERGY targets AFRICA. Simple and obvious strategy with Solar being a huge part of Siemens Electrolysers for the production of Hydrogen energy.
