Congratulations Dan, not only for guessing the share price, but it's also the best week we've had on the stock market for a while, hopefully we will have some more good weeks to follow, what a strange world it's been the last few years, it's like we have gone back to the 1940s, anyway nothing we can do about that, hopefully better things before xmas
cheers
Dan's Speech. " About bloody time I won" But only just, as the closing sp was 104.76. Added bonus for me, I had a small top up today. Thank's Roofer, (Doyen 2nd class). The only way is up I feel, but when we hit £1.10, will we get the return of the repetitive dreaded Mikey curse? "bloody yanks, end up in the red , ski slopes , sack Nick Read", etc.etc? I hope not. Good luck all, Next week should be good, I feel.

This leverage sounds like vodafone india leverage. I think its way more there.
Re. Altice
"Consolidated net debt for Altice USA was $24,037 million(7), representing consolidated net leverage of 6.0x LTM (6.1x L2QA at the end of Q3 2022)."

not vodafone but altice. down loads.
Your stated net debt for Vod is wrong.
have a look at bt today. it could give an idea on vodafone. 118.35 GBX -9.40 (7.36%)today
Seems Read and Co are looking to make a couple of ‘major’ announcements on November 15th. Firstly according to Bloomberg, KKR seem to be the favourites to take a minority stake in Vantage Towers which would deliver about $4 Billion in cash and help a bit to pay down Vod’s net debt, circa 67$ Billion. Secondly the merger with Three UK with Vod taking a majority 51% controlling stake in the new company, subject to UK regulatory approval. You would think ‘good news’ like this would see a decent SP increase but with Vodafone you can never tell. ??
nice to see the shares rising for a change and hopefully vod has left the 99p behind and looking forward to 110, personally i would welcome Mikey back, i found his comments quite humorous, as we all know any comments here will not make any difference to the share price, just got the feeling though that everyone's preparing for a tough winter, and we may have to wait a bit longer before we see any improvements, but who knows what will happen next

Hello sotonspike, With all respect I don't think Trek is stupid, but why does he treat us all as stupid with his patronising warnings (caveats) ? Please look up the meaning of the word. As for Mikey, do you miss his daft comments? (no caveats) A good day today, & week so far. 1.10 would be good, but do we then have to put up with Mikey's negative drivel, if we believe his last post? Cheers soton, & good luck Amigo.
I looked to buy a Trek Madone recently, one pound short of seven grand which is just short of the price I paid for Mrs G’s motor. Off topic I know but WTF.
Dan I think Trek is anything but stupid...He is well respected on many bb's on here with good insights and thoughts so he puts "Usual caveats" so what......Doesn't matter it's the substance before that matters agree or not....Coming to think of it where's Mikey when you need him.....
Hello soton, but anybody who understands the stock market & posts on chat forums must realise that you do not need to use caveats to justify your opinion unless you are totally stupid. I.M.H.O. L.O.L. D.Y.O.R. & all that other meaningless nonsense. Try speaking in plain English?! Good luck to you though. Vod is having a good week I reckon.
Hey Dan give Trek a break he always signs off with Usual caveats.....He's new to this bb and probably has more knowledge of the the stock market then most us put together....He has certainly made me aware of stock to take a look at and profit from so wind it in......Usual caveats Soton
"Usual caveats". Is this the latest moronic sign off we have to put up with on here? Give us a break!?
Also worth noting that one’s view may be different at 100p than at 125p!
Given it’s scale one would hope that VOD can do deals for power but for sure it is a noteworthy headwind albeit one more tolerable for a big ship compared to the smaller providers.
The TU should address the FCF outlook I am not as confident they will achieve €5.3bn due to inflationary pressures, energy costs and slowing growth. Nor do I expect the divi to increase but I think marking time is in the current SP at 100p.
As their contracts are index linked and churn could be lower due to uncertainties something ordinary this time may actually be well received by the market. 107-112 after the TU will represent a great return on a trade here and depending on that outlook esp regarding debt I may just hold. Let’s see!
Usual caveats
Trek
Good post Troajan and sums it up.
I am currently roaming out of uk and because we brexited, there are a host of vod out of bundle charges which will translate to a recovery in international revenues. So while there is a mix of things up and down, its incrementally net up imo

trading update on the 15th Nov ?
Hi mole, fair comment mate, whith so many shares trading at a discount now, it's a matter of where we think we can get the best return, but i think it will be better to top up on shares we already own, to try and make an improvement, snd hopefully see them back in profit
Never said it won’t see 140 again Rob. In the next stable bull market it will melt up with everything else, just lots of things will melt up much more I believe. 2030 is the target to see what did best for total returns. Companies with lots of debt or no debt. Does leverage pay or drag? The debate rages on.
