101 for me please roofer, thank you
Hi Dan, hope you had a good holiday, nice to see you back to keep some order on this board, we all want to see the share price rising 140 plus that would be very nice, in which case cheapshares and meshtrader can say hey mole you got it wrong, but it's difficult to put up an argument when the share price is at 99p, all the talk about deals etc. all sound very nice but unless it's reflected in the share price, it means nothing right now
still positive about seeing this get back to 140, but when that will happen is anybody's guess, the stock market is very unsettled right now
best of luck
“ He could have bought both BT and Vodafone for not much more”
And how much CAPEX does VOD & BT need compared to Twitter how about IR. What are the growth opportunities across each. Regulation for sure a constraint.
However, although I don’t like much about his behaviours he is no fool and is visionary.
But for sure imo too many tweets make a twt! Esp when you accuse people of being a paedo when they refuse your ‘yellow submarine!’
As for VOD, in the absence of material news it will likely follow the TA. Lovely! In at 98 and bit, ready to sell some on the bounce and recycle. And of course have some to average down as well.
This reminds me of when GSK dipped to 13 and also 12 before that. Such oversold indicators for the ‘trading vultures!’
It’s not often you get an opportunity trade a stock with such great liquidity that you don’t mind holding if you get it wrong and you have a juicy well covered divi to cover your arse!

meshtrader. Much as I like your positive attitude to vod, I feel that to brand anyone who doesn't agree that vod is worth at least 1.40 is ignorant & doesn't understand basic math's is pushing it a bit. It is not that black or white, but of course as I hold a lot of vod shares I hope you are right? We are on the same side of course, but sometimes you can learn from those with a contrary view? Cheers mate,
Can I go 1.05 for next Friday please. I have been on holiday for a week, & don't look at this site when I am away. But looking at the posts, I see Robina is coming out with the same old nonsense, "Why is the vod sp doing so badly? Because It's crap" Highly intelligent comment that one?? & Some having a good old pop at mole-man. Mole is not a troll, he is just negative about vodafone, so please if you want to have a go at him, please make it constructive. (He can't help being evil), boo hiss. Good luck all, from mikey, sorry I mean Dan??
Mesh, anytime soon.
FDI (foreign direct investment) at its highest since 2013. M&A at its lowest cross border.
Vodger
Its called ignorance! I have stated the same since a few months ago. Some simply don't grasp basic mathematics, haven't got comprehensive understanding of the underlying business and the monetary theories and its implications both on the short as well as the long term.
I re-state, vod is a prime takeover target. If I had the means, I would have taken the company private myself in no time starting the bidding process with a starting offer of ca 1.40
VOD could roll the debt but why would it? Nothing much to roll in the next 3 years,.
€10Bn net cash position, €7.6Bn in unused facilities, VOD Hungary proceeds, Vantage will reduce debt a few €Bn next couple of weeks, turned down €11.6Bn for Italy. €5.3Bn fcf per annum. Strong liquidity position.
you said "If VOD themselves are issuing bonds at 7% then why buy the shares"
So why not face the drivel you write that is not always very accurate?
you are just a negative troll facts
Have never said VOD pays 7.25% as a blended average across all it's debt. At the time I was commenting that big money can find corporate bonds paying 7% now, so why risk your capital for a 7% div when stockholders are subordinate to bond holders.
VOD meanwhile won't be able to roll their expiring bonds paying 2% into bonds that pay much less than 7%, so moving forwards their interest payments will increase.
Apologies for such senseless drivel, like the drivel you pointed out over a year ago when I said rising rates would not be good for stock prices, and here we are...

"Wish he would buy Vodafone to help with my sanity"
He could have bought both BT and Vodafone for not much more. Funny how Musk will pay nearly as much, for a loss-making company, when he could have owned two big Telecoms companies. Always makes me smile when I think about Facebook paying over $20 Billion for WhatsApp.
Thank you Voger for that informative and accurate post. It compares well with the negative drivel by mole-man who would like you to believe that Vod pays 7.25% on their debt
Talk about being “objective” lol
Hi all...."Elon Musk claims he's buying Twitter to 'help humanity"........Wish he would buy Vodafone to help with my sanity.....
£1.9B pa goes towards Divs ATM so its hard to imagine the company not being able to maintain that amount particularly given the majority of its income comes from overseas.
its interesting that c.25% of VODs debt is not due until 2030 to 2040 and another 25% not due until after 2041. So +50% in the next economic cycle. And when you look at the coupon on that debt, alot of it under 2%. There is very little due in the next couple of years.
In the meantime they are still guiding €5.3Bn FCF with +2% service revenue growth, inflation indexing built in and the dividend looks safe for FY23 and beyond imo.
Happy to take the dividend while the screw turns on the asset valuations/ sum of the parts and europe and africa are growing. When country gdps recover, VOD recovers without increasing fixed/ capital costs imo. Also network cost initiatives like the vantage sale offer the prospect of paying for what VOD uses rather every room in the hotel, occupied and unoccupied (depending on % investment they sell). Maybe we get a special dividend for all the pain of the last 5 years whilst losing a couple of €Bn vantage debt off the balance sheet. Hooraah! NOV 15 cant come soon enough

The answer to the subject is of course because it's crap.
Give it another week for the next leg down.

This is truly a dog of a share. I have held for many years as an income generator in my SIPP DD account, but it seems to plumb greater and greater depths. The 3yr chart looks like a ski jump ramp. I know VOD has/had a lot of debt but can no one turn this around - was once the UKs greatest company...
