GutterSnipe. "Down, Vodafone got Down syndrome" Have you got Down syndrome? If not, you should not make fun of it. (sorry for any spelling mistakes iggy!
Very nice for my late pudding
I guess thats no issue as 3 and UK merge. 'Starting with Hull, Oxford and Greater London (in June) before rolling out across the South of England'.

I also had a lot of Vodafone shares in 2006. Think the price was about £1.25. I did not win or lose on that occasion. Over.
Thank you iggy for that, clever you? but if you judge on a spelling mistake, you are just missing the point. Get a lyfe!! By the way, he bought at 1.18 & sold at 1.21, in case any of you missed that for the 5th or more time, or would you like proove of that??
Take risks in life. Win big or lose all.
“If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
Wisebear - I bought Vodafone last summer at £1.18 and sold at £1.21 just before the big plunge. I am often tempted to buy down here but as yet have not had the courage/possible stupidity...
Carry on as you are GS. We need a laugh in these testing times
He is actually long on Vodafone. His negative remarks have the opposite effect on the sp. Don’t silence him. We all know where the sp is going…
Broadsword to Danny boy, over
Hi Gary59. Good post from you, but surely you & others on here realise, GutterSnipe has no intention of prooving he is intelligent. Just click on his profile, & read his historical posts, & you will realise, all he wants to prove is, he is just a GutterSnipe,(by definition).
Should be adding on any dips in the SP here.
According to them the dividend is safe.

He meant next Monday! Worse than a broken clock!
Gutter - Just to prove you are a person of intelligence can you please explain with evidence the point of your Vodafone posts on here. They seem to me to be very repetitive with no real point.
I just got a bad feeling about Vodafone Danny boy. Don't say i didn't warn you...
101 for me please
The only feeling I have about Vodafone is overwhelmingly positive, otherwise why would I be here. If you feel it's a strong buy, say so.
Got positive feeling about life in general going forward. Strong buy all day long. Have a happy four day week.
Guttersnipe, no need to have a bad feeling about it if your not even invested here, go and book yourself a nice holiday in the sun with your money instead, no need for you to go worrying about us all the time lol
95.6 for me please
92.7 for me please Roofer
Why's that, do you think it'll go up significantly from here?
The only reason I say that, is because you've made it obvious in previous posts that you don't like the company, so I'm guessing you're disappointed that the price may be on the way up.
Got a bad feeling about these shares
" nobody wants lots of debt in this market. "
Most FTSE 100 companies will, I suspe t, handle their current debt levels , even in these markets...maybe it just means less movey available for near term CAPEX and job restructuring a a result though...c'est la vie
The problems in the market are probably worrying lenders more than many of the FTSE 100 borrowers..plenty of bondholders and banks and certain government debt holders are definitely nervous that they might not get any or all of their money back from certain areas of the economy...
For VOD selling assets into distressed markets isnt likely to give them the best value price,as the Spanish potential offers suggest, and the Ukraine/inflation saga hasnt exactly helped their restructuring plans, creating somewhat of a setback ..which Read may well have lost his job as a result of..as impatience grew for him to make moves and deals...he didnt see a price worth accepting
The debt markets overall love lending to VOD, it is a bread and butter source of income for them and there is really little chance they will not be able to cover their current Finance payments... IMO ..I would guess they would be happy to lose some of their many "low-cost" price subscribers in the likes of Spain and Italy even if they wouldnt publically admit that....and certainly in those highly competitive markets the cost of living crisis is possibly devaluing those businesses as more move to those "low-cost" price contracts which are real parts of those markets
Right now I think they are kind of trying to openly fool their shareholders by subsidising their normal performance related dividend with some cash from assets sales (which would normally be handed back to shareholders separately) in order to make up the payment.....so although the dividend might get handed over, it is worth remembering these assets will no longer on the balance sheet as shareholder equity..
They could always turn to scrip dividends and then buy them back at higher prices when more cash is available, in better times ..like Shell has done
