To be fair the select few bears have been right pretty much every single god damn day for sometime now ffs
Danny-G. You say the sp will drop another 7p by 8/6.23. Is that a matter of fact then? You could say, I think it will fall, or it might fall. That would make far more sense. Good luck though with your fortune telling! What does your lucky heather say will win the Derby on saturday?
A bit of good news for once.
Shame I’m underwater such is life
Well, they woke up!
Closed at high of session and indicate 1.9% up versus UK close ie +1.5p
And why not, dividend coming and such a basement level price!
'Divs that don't come from genuinely excess capital don't work.'
They just reduced debt to €33Bn. €46Bn at H1. Crikey, the SP is completely disconnected from the ability to generate cash, pay down debt and invest in business. Shareholders own the company and the div is the required return. Debt service cost has increased to 3%.
The comments not so fun!
Well OK, everyone who bought since Oct 2011 is underwater including divs, and a gaggle of folk who bought from Sept 1999 to Sept 2000.
Divs that don't come from genuinely excess capital don't work.
"So everyone who has bought since Nov 1997?"
What about the divi's since then? Haven't they got to be worth something?
Wow Danny! You must be a millionaire with such insight!
"It's only a dog of you timed your entry wrong"
So everyone who has bought since Nov 1997?
Danny, hope you are right. I have cash clearing just for that or a nice safe bond etf ;-)
Roofer, low cost means low profit and an amazon warning signal imo and maybe why they are distancing themselves. They might try only using wifi, but why bother, a microphone can do that. Mobile operators have a walled garden which already has a regulatory 'burden'...hotting up or just an article to support changing a position?
Nice of Amazon to finish off what has been a disappointing week for Vod
One can only assume next week will be no different
What it shows is how much the share price is being played here.
Not only does VOD no longer operate in the US (after the sale of its stake in Verizon) but Amazon have denied they have any plans to enter wireless at the moment.
Finally I am very surprised there has been no new holdings RNS from Etisalat...what happened to their plans for a 25% stake here? Same applies to Liberty
8/6/23 is the ex div date. The SP will drop another 7p by then. Early trading on the 8th we should hit 65p during the morning as some point. Hoping for bounce after that and some support. if not we are heading to low 50s and a good entry point for a long term hold.
Accolade this week goes to "Newsid " well done
Vod closing Sp 2nd June 75.63p
Speech Speech Newsid
Full list will follow
Enjoy your weekend...atb
Yep, easy to think Kodak but the reality is nothing digital works without fixed and wireless networks. A few timed disposals from the 'rest of Europe' bucket will chip away at debt, maintain the div and ensure the capital reinvestment cycle. The real win will be when country gdps pick up and the 'telco utility cash flows' rise with tide of increased traffic
It is crazy...but that is a plain and straight forward message to the BOD..... to get a grip ....
as the Telegraph suggests ...VOD looks to be a jack of all trades and master of none as they spread themselves too wide across countries and take their eye of their key market ...a market where they have invested huge amounts of money acquiring assets ..why buy up customers there in 2019 only to lose some of them recklessly ?
MDV is right to own up to the own goals ..but now the market wants ACTION ....show the market results ..lowering FCF is just another OMG moment
They have the assets ... make them work for you !!!
Over sold as per chart. RSI14 = 23.79

Exactly
What a load of ****
Green finish?
.
As in life, timing is everything. The patient will be paid.
Lol The market cap is now almost equal to the value for Vod's german business. What a crazy world we live in.
Putting things into perspective - EQT paid ca 5x net asset value for the company. Dechra has been burning cash in the past 3 years with an annual revenue of ca 700m vs buyout price of 4.5bn.
This looks well oversold. QIA will be buying again at these low levels for sure
