To be fair that wasn’t that bad I can see 46p next week .
Never once claimed to understand how it works. But I honestly think what I say regarding sentiment has a large degree of truth. The stock market and financial markets have become a casino driven by trends and sentiment. Basically a pyramid scheme where if you get in at the right time you make a killing and get in too late you loseyour shirt. Take metro bank recently .... goes up 50% on a potential take over and all the lemmings who got in late are now sitting on a big loss. Of course don't forget that when it was the flavour of the month it was over £30 a share and is now less than £1. Also take digital currencies as an example.... just a bit of electricity and people pay thousands for them without being able to really do anything with them, except one day hopefully sell them at a profit if they happen to pick the right one.
Is Boris Johnson just Matt Lucas with a wig on??
Anton I don’t think you understand how the stock market works but here goes £1 Monday morning Defo!
For me it's simple... why buy a stock if you're not going to ramp it, promote it at every opportunity and belive in it. Ultimately the reason you buy a stock is to make money and you don't do that by the company paying you a 0.5p dividend once a year. So the only way you'll make money is if more people want to buy the stock and demand increases. That is never going to happen if there is negative sentiment.
Anton,
In June when this was 63p, you were ramping and said that 'this will fly ' when the results are released (in July). However, this did not happen and since then PoO has risen and TLW has plummeted by about 30%. What went wrong?
In contrast my posting had been realistic and accurate enough to make me money.
JMAX ... if you traded your way out of trouble I suggest you count yourself lucky, sell up and move on ... I'm afraid to say any holder who has Tullow shares and feel the need to express as much negativity towards Tullow as you is either an idiot or a shorter pretending to be a holder.
BB,
I know what the UT is and I am aware of the hedging and I wasn't referring to you as being a ramper - but there has been a lot of unjustified optimism on this board at times.
JMAX if not shorters then who? Who trades after hours / off book? Not PI’s either way it’s shorters or a larger fund buying at a discount. No way, this is going to 30! Have you heard about Tullow’s hedging strategy? I also don’t think my comments could be classed as ramping!
RM,
I took a big hit with the two RNS from late 2019. So I bought and traded my way out of trouble - but my posting regarding TLW over the last year has been fairly accurate and I have made good money.
Why are the rampers never held to account for their incorrect predictions...
Just a bit bizarre why every one of your posts puts a negative spin on things.
RM.
I have held since 2014 - when the SP was over 900p - and traded along the way and bought sub 10p. I was merely asking why shorters would exit now.
JMAX, for someone that apparently holds these shares, you do spout a lot of negativity.
The cynic in me thinks that perhaps you aren’t actually invested and just want a lower entry point :-)
We all know that there is zero chance of POO getting anywhere near $30 in the foreseeable.
BB,
Why do you think that ? Shorters are probably looking for PoO at sub $30
Nearly 2m UT after hours, largest UT I’ve seen in long while, looks like shorters getting a cheap exit.
