Fred and like so many interesting, informative & genuine good eggs, who have posted here over the years, I hope this is not the end of your dreams, but the start of a new chapter. Stranger things have happened & remember it ain’t over till it’s over. I’m out for good but wish you all good fortune.
Thanks Fred. Much appreciated. LTH's need to stick together in the face of the trolling coming our way for the rest of this week or until financed is sorted, so at least possibly 30 days of ridiculous posts to come, i'll just scroll down from and ignore posts until I come to a name that I actually respect and read that post.
Glad you posted jonesrichard and you’re okay - not an easy time at the moment
JR it's been a tough few days so nice to see you post , But mate even I think it's time you stopped posting what the sp might be in a day or 3 ???? lol
What's important right now is a way forward not the bloody share price!!!!
Now where is that raised eyebrow emoji ??? lol
all the best
ffc
Hi FFC, Myo, Alan and all other genuine LTH's, it's been a bit of a challenging week so far but I will continue to hold here until it hopefully comes good, feel that there is more to come from this project and with patience anyone that holds can still be rewarded in time but it will be rocky for the next few weeks no doubt.
To all of the bashers/derampers/trolls, I accept every dog has their day so yesterday must have been like heaven for you, I will not respond to any of your trolling or taunts and will only respond to genuine LTH's or holders who are here who want to actually see the sp rise and the company succeed.
From previous experience on here once to sp starts to creep back up the trolls then move on to a different BB, just ride out this week then we hopefully can get back to some sensible reading next week.
Whoever started up the new account using my username, fair enough I can take a joke but it becomes a bit silly when it drags on and on.
I'm toying with the idea of topping up but will give it a few days as I think the sp will most probably fluctuate between 5-10p for the next few weeks or until we get an update on the finance, on the positive side it seems like the build is going at an amazing speed so more reason for the BOD to get this finance issue sorted and out of the way which I believe they will ideally within the next 4-12 weeks.
CF just bought some shares today so shows confidence obviously, hopefully the beginning of more positive news flow.
How many of us are old timers with equity release a possibility on their mortgage free homes?
A few will be accountants - so instead of leaving our homes in our wills , is there a tax efficient way to buy bonds in a deserving company and leave them instead?
Could this be a well-known way out for Sirius? We all know "where there is a will there is way " :O)
Inheritance would be far less traumatic than having to empty the house and all the hastle of putting it on the market etc..
It might be a considerate option?
£45m? What's all this ****? We need 450m. So to finish the pointless 'discussion', that is £5000 from each of the 85,000.
Oh well filtering now.....
"No, surely 85,000 holders would have to cough up £500 each to raise £45M?"
erm...no Colin. Surely not.
Collin, can’t quite figure out whether your taking the **** or truly have no idea???
Quite simply you buy low and sell high...so those selling now I question if they read the investment for dummies guide...
It unlocks the other funding.
What would the £45million be for ? we need £3 billion to fund the project?
No, surely 85,000 holders would have to cough up £500 each to raise £45M?
Thank you Myo - it would seem to me that maybe making use of just two TBM may be a prudent option - even if it does slow the overall speed of the project down.
In this six month review period it would seem that further cuts in the overall project cost may ultimately be the best way to secure funding.
assuming we all have £35k we are willing to risk
If there are 85,000 retail investors couldn't a fundraising from them in an interest bearing bond resolve the issue and secure the future for those shareholders? They would get their money back on the resurgence of the share price alone.
Illbetabuck- I’ve been largely in agreement with your position over on the Tcg page ( although I took advantage of the bounce a little while back even when people said not to, to sell, it was all over etc ) but I think that this is very different and that in this case all is not lost ...... YET!
illbetabuck
Thanks for your financial literary advice - but I choose to use that language as it is correct. As for offering financial advice you do not need to offer that. However, I do appreciate your kind consideration.
Financial advice? Interesting.
Hi Beerbull, I’m sorry you’ve sold. It is gutting that you and so many people have lost money. Yes I have lost money but it wasn’t ever really for me to use in my lifetime. It was totally for my children for when they have families plus one of them is special needs so it would have been security for him. Whilst there is still some hope of this coming good (and I do hear what you and so many are saying), I just feel I want to stick with it. It was money I’d written off in a way for my children and I just want to see what happens in the next few weeks. I’d reached my target number of shares so was happy with the amount I’d got so not tempted or haven’t been since I reached that target to buy more. But good luck to you and I hope things work out for you
Ffc, well said, I too am sitting on an 80+% unrealised loss atm and the only person to blame for that is me. Like Fred I too have become emotionally attached to the company, you cannot help it when you drive past the site on the way to Whitby. S boro for the day or see the hope it brings to my region. I want to be part of the story. I wanted my granddaughter to invest too so she grew with the company - and I see her unrealised paper loss and I feel, well I do not know actually. Guilt, ashamed, embarrassed. But I explained the risks, and those risks still stand and so does the hope and expectation that this will be a great success for those of us who still believe in the leadership and acumen of the BoD. I do. I believe in the decency of the human soul and that people are honest in their words and endeavours. We are not being played, shafted, crikey the emotive language, the management is simply responding to circumstances and aim to get the best deal for us all.
I assume therefore Myo that the inference is that discussions are taking place, which might be construed as being "commercially sensitive".... In which event it might explain why there has been no further comment from the company
Fred feeling pretty much the same, but can't resist checking !
Hoped we might see a bounce today but it seems not. Really can't accept that 38p to 20p to 15p to 10p to 4p is warranted given progress take off and the known resource.
Waiting to see if Shorts increase or II's sell to justify the sp which seems well oversold to me.
Like you I'm holding and will not sell at an 80% loss. I couldn't resist a topup (although I have promised my wife not to buy anymore), the only good thing out of this is the ave is now 18.8 - so break even is a little nearer than it was. No idea how to calculate future value now given where we are so just watching waiting and hoping SXX get some sort of deal that leaves some value.

"........and offers the potential to use the machine's mucking system to transport up to 6m tonnes per year of polyhalite during tunnel fitout, which would accelerate commercial production."
I know we're clinging to any possibility but surely this scenario is very vaid. And obviously begs the question "Why hadn't the BOD considered this long ago as a viable way to get early earnings". It will certainly hamper the fit out but hey, product sales are far more pressing
"I don’t see this one going to the wall and believe a takeover / JV is likely. Most invested here are significantly Down and i for one will be waiting it out"
Could you run through a takeover/JV scenario that doesn't leave existing shareholders with massive dilution or indeed being wiped out?
