Doesn’t seem much confidence in our leader currently. If JP does read the board it’s time to prove the doubters wrong! Some sort of update or tweet should do it !!
If, as I suspect, there will be no offers that the BOD can recommend, then of course The Failure has to go.He would have failed in his 'raison d'etre' of maximising shareholder value. It would be pointless, and quiet frankly, obscene, for the present BOD to continue with the fiascos we all witnessed over the much lauded '3 well drill campaign. Yes it will take more time to get a new CEO and ED in office, but, with SCHL committed, there is no reason why it, after consultation with OGIF, ONHYM and The Chair of SOU, look at a re-entering well(s), with an agenda to prove commerciality. There should be enough in the kitty to re-drill one well! Since we now are all firm believers in 'always expect the unexpected', then The Failure might surprise me. But that is highly doubtful. I have a mail from him, which will prove his ineptitude in the event of a no-sale, and I will share with you after the event if there is any interest.
I still can't get the image of Trellis drowning in a wine vat out of my mind. I imagine him taking his last few gulps before meeting his conclusion. Talk about 'Liquidity Event'. More like 'Liquid Event'. I suspect Trellis would be very happy spending the last few seconds splashing around in a wine vat with Wannabe 5 looking on with a wry grin on her face.
I think we've heard every possible scenario on this bb for what may happen come the LE, but the one from Indeep has to be the funniest. I can just see JP saying to Brian, "Hey Brian....don't you dare choose the sweet spot. I don't want a company like Shell to pay too much for us. It just wouldn't be ethical. Could you do me a favour and magic-up one of your infamous dusters for us instead? There's a good chap..."
Indeep - you have said nothing on here for 2 years and you have come onto the bb with that idea. It's absolutely hilarious, mate. Well done. Pure comedy. I doff my fez at you. It's the funniest thing I have heard since the discussions on here about the whereabouts of Luca's baby. Priceless.
Yes it seemed odd with every sell the bid was going up? Something about to drop maybe ?
Thanks Indeep. That actually had me laughing at dinner. Duster by design to avoid suitors having to pay £10 , brilliant stuff..::
Haha glad you think so. I’m loving your theories though..... sorry what are those again?
I still have faith in getting something out of this... even my money back. Would love to see a profit though as would everyone. It’s not over till it’s over.... fingers crossed for all in chin deep
"I've been thinking for some time now that maybe, just maybe we would of been too successful for our own good and been to expensive for anyone to buy if we'd of hit 3 jackpots and an estimation of 1000p, or at least not as attractive.
So here's one for the conspirators.... did we prove where the gas wasn't to keep it low and within a prospective buyers reach without being ridiculously expensive."
That has to be one of THE most vacuous comment on here. Absolute moronic!
Thanks for the reply. I just can’t help but think there’s something more to this than meets the. Personally i’d give my right arm to see mid 40s but not going anywhere till this is over... even if we end up in the penny bucket. Can’t get out and stomach huge losses only to see it sold for more than most expect. Fingers crossed sounders....
I would say that in the last days someone is building positions via darkpool
Indeep, are you sure you are not in too 'Deep'....
"On the edge
Ponders his maker
Ponders his will
To the street below
He just ain't nothin'
But he's got a great view
And he sinks the needle deep
Can't touch the bottom
In too deep
Can't touch the bottom oh........
That's in too deep & rock bottom...we are far from there at the moment, praise be!
Crude...dont be like the characters in the song....'He just ain't nothin' ..............................
If what you are saying is that we didn't find gas to keep our sale price sexy for prospective buyers then I'd say "no".
However, a successful LE should IMHO still see at least £1 per share. Soundingoff has even "done the math" if you want to see back-of-fag packet calculations. Just for the record, I'd still be making a handsome profit at 40p, but can't see a low ball offer like that presented to us. I think we're worth far more than 40p per share. I know there are loads of people out there who think we're worth less than 40p and some that think we're worth way more than £1. None of us at this stage are right and nor are we wrong. We'll have to wait to see if a bid comes along and for how much.
Posting this again.....Been watching this board for a couple of years and finally decided to join the discussion. I got involved at the 40p mark and watched it rise to 60p only to see it painfully fall to where we are now.
I've been thinking for some time now that maybe, just maybe we would of been too successful for our own good and been to expensive for anyone to buy if we'd of hit 3 jackpots and an estimation of 1000p, or at least not as attractive.
So here's one for the conspirators.... did we prove where the gas wasn't to keep it low and within a prospective buyers reach without being ridiculously expensive. This same question could be asked even if we did it by chance... have we proved where the gas isn't and can now prove where it is... or narrowed it down for the buyer. (To risky for us to go again...or its not part of the plan)
I think we have some life left in this share and i think it will go for mid 40p on wards but keeping a lid on it going ridiculous
Just a thought from someone in chin deep
The way its going JP couldn't deliver a pizza... #jobsworth
It he cannot sell the present asset for its true value there is little point in increasing the asset value only to be unable to sell at its true value. If he fails to monetise the assets at this juncture he should go elsewhere to rebuild his reputation. Not on the back of Sound shareholders. Exciting times.
To 4 buys since 10 am bid goes from 7.20 to 7.80 is this usual here now ?
Maybe if we took out a premium listing on Gumtree ?
James can deliver FOC
Interesting spelling of 'Sound Energy'. You have it as 'Sound Energie'.
Maybe that spider bite is taking effect?
Exploration- given that 11 is a “well defined high” and the tagi pinches out onto this - could that be considered a high and have positive properties?
Negative tone from crude todY; a sign of what is coming?
Partridge, you are of course implying that our once lauded CEO has backed himself into a corner by stating he is a deal-maker. But if the price he is offered is not reccommendable should he then resign or be 'ousted' by the Board? Or should he finish what he started & continue with Sound Energie's drill plan - maybe raising more CAPEX cash? What would I do in his position, taking into account ECCO & CORRO: I would stay & try to rebuild my reputation - but definitely not quit! Whether he will be able to be the master of his/our destiny is yet to be played out...............
Exploration, yet gas was there at TE10 & in commercial volumes...if not commercial to us!
Jez, I will not be turning into Spiderman any time soon but how about 'Soundman '....with super-powered waggy tail! Superhero powers include immunity to so called 'De-Rampers' & the ability to be totally oblivious to AIM warning sounds! AIM is becoming like 'kryptonite ' to me...depriving me of my powers.............
Thanks for your reply earlier today. I've been out and about in the Chuckle Wagon increasing our company's carbon footprint. Chuckle Energy is not the greenest of companies with all that latent methane kicking around.
Sorry to hear you got bitten by a spider. Does this mean you'll be turning into Spider-Man soon? You'll be swinging from the chandeliers come the LE Party hopefully, but no upside down kisses please!
I'm still trying to get the image of Trellis drowning in a vat of wine out of my head. What a way to go eh? The perfect way for Trellis to meet his creator.
JP's reply to you was interesting to say the least and it has given us something to mull over in the interim. He shouldn't go anywhere until whatever deal is done, so I'm happy to see that that is the case. Let's just hope that deal making is still very much in his DNA.
No boardroom coup. That will cost the company dearly. Do you think he will walk away if he fails to monetise the assets? That is his only purpose now.
