Afternoon Quady ,just waiting on tsx opening ,well it would have to be bigger than £2 imho but alpala maybe £1.30+
afternoon Cookie, the problem is , if we do get a bid, I believe it will be the only bid. All the best.
Quady, we most certainly agree on having to pay a 'fair price'. I don't imagine for one moment BHP think they'll get this on the cheap and they have the wherewithal to pay it.
They need this resource and they know if they don't buy it, one of their competitors will.
£1.32 first offer Quady ..
Good afternoon phattrader, I would like 2 pounds a share, if that was the offer now. But this morning I asked addicknt for a price range. He politely declined, which I understand. However take outs are at a discount, and although I don't speak for addickt or anyone on this forum, I believe if we get a takeout now, it will between 60-80 pence a share. That is not something I want, but would have to accept it.
Hi addicknt, my thoughts.
It is because of the percentages, that I think this is hard to sell.
NM can call on about 20% of shares.
BHP can call on about 13-14% of shares.
So enter Newcrest, with 13%. This needs to be taken out, but if we deliver a PFS around 9 billion dollars, they are never going to take 1 pound a share, they may not take 2 pounds a share.
Now the smaller players, I don't believe they will sell cheap either, and NM certainly won't sell cheap.
Therefore BHP, would have to pay close to fair price.
So the only question I am left with, is will BHP pay fair value, or will this go to production.
I don't think they will pay over 2 pounds a share, hence part of my argument, why we go to production. All the best.
Quady, how? Look at the percentages.
phatt, they are there to lobby existing shareholders in the event of any corporate action such as an AGM, EGM or takeover.
If you hold a significant number of shares but your holding is obscured via a nominee, they will get the full details from the nominee and will make contact directly. This used to be done by financial pr companies and company brokers, but over recent years it's become a more specialised activity.
This is of great relevance here because of the percentage held by private investors.
Forget NM's blather about engaging in Equador etc, that's just a thinly veiled smokescreen. This is about you, me and everyone else on this board.
Sorry addicknt, still have to agree to disagree, Solgold can be defended, this hasn't started yet.
cookie, it's worth a quick glance.
Addicknt ,sorry ive not looked on their websites
Quady ,yes thats right but until the mine funding arrives we may get an offer imho ,nm needs to get that news out the way ,then a j/v with BHP looks to be on the cards imho
Quady, sometimes you really make me laugh...and I don't mean that unkindly.
These companies have been employed for their expertise in tracking down shareholders and engaging with them in the event of a bid. They are not experts in Equadorian politics - indeed, my guess is they had to look it up on google earth.
Sorry addicknt, looking at CMI2I, and they seem to think, that this is a necessary step to production, nothing about a bid.
"Through the sterling work of our world class management and exploration teams over the last several years, SolGold is ideally placed to deliver on its ambitions and to continue delivering value to our shareholders financiers and the people and government of Ecuador. With a growing development team and now up to US$190 million in funding that offers the Company a clear path through to feasibility and a development decision, it is a hugely exciting time to be involved in this stage of SolGold's growth.
of you guys looked at the web sites of CMi2i and Boudicca?
They tell you all you need to know.
A bid is coming and NM knows it.
