Well it has share price on fire now
I'll be voting for NM to stay - he got the FN deal after all.
One heartening point to take from this is that CGP and NCM are clearly extremely cosy. It would therefore suggest that they have discussed possible takeover prices and that those prices suit CGP...that puts a base price on SOLG. NCM clearly are desperate to get more of this pie before is slips from their grasp. Meanwhile, BHP are sitting back and relaxing, knowing that it is theirs.
Quady if the board get replaced by help of bhp then that agreement can be void or updated i think
Q - mate, the battle is on and the small-holders will benefit. TYe fact the CGP referenced the big three (New, BHP and BlackR) suggests they spoken to all three and they've agreed to CGP's referencing of them in this formal market release. CGP would not do this if they thought they had zero chance of achieving what they have proposed
Forget the crap about 'getting the company on the cheap'. We saw this argument at SXX. cascabel needs $3bn to get it developed and no doubt more with delays and that means almost diluting small holders. I've seen it before.
at least things are happening now..
enuff from me and GLA, let's hope you're all quids in
Woah Tiger, he has done a brilliant job, as long as NM is in place, we don't get taken out cheap. Maybe NCM is on board, but I doubt anyone else is. I would say this though. If you were on the NCM or BHP board, would you support this, or see CGP's position as weak, and put in a bid for them. Realize that BHP must wait till October 15th.
Folks need to be careful linking to this, it's NOT approved for distribution in the UK as it's doesn't meet up law as per the last page . It's doesn't even meet tsx rules .
It makes no mention that BHP cannot vote for it at present and somebody needs control them that 7% isn't a significant holding.
If anything it shows how noddy CGP are..
I guess higher share price will see nick getting investors support
Nick 100% stay's as CEO and all the other board members stay in place! I think these desperate moves would have been anticipated. Lets see how Nick's body language comes across in 30 mins. I bet he's not rattled!
One thing that has been overlooked is the current arrangement with BHP, means that their votes will align themselves with the current BoD, and hence BHP votes are currently on NM side, come October this could well change
BHP 282,721,826 13.64%
This so exciting now
If it comes to it, I'll be voting to replace Nick Mather and the current board. They are clearly not up to the job.
I doubt Cornerstone have made this move on their own. They must have substantial institutional shareholder support.
I know it seems counterintuitive, but this could be good news for all PIs.
Will today's webinar go ahead now? NM may have his hands full now!
A statement that smacks of a moment of panic and desperation.
I think franco will approve the finance fast!! Or they will miss out
Good afternoon schlemiel, I bet they are not, this smacks of desperation, It's the sort of stunt, that you may pull, if you never had a buyer, and had to raise cash, in order to meet their liabilities. Should be interesting.
Very much doubt BHP have anything to do with it. This has NCM written all over it.
Oh dear! I really hope for our benefit NM outmanoeuvres this. If he doesn’t and is ousted SolGold will be getting taken over on the cheap so Cornerstone/Irwin/NC can get their way.
I have minimal shares that don’t make much of a difference but I’ll be voting to keep NM and the current board in place.
And there you have it - the CGP board are now NCM puppets:
"Additionally, it is our view that theproposed Franco-Nevada Royalty Financing will significantly destroy shareholder valuefor all SolGold shareholders.”
LOLOLO - what pills have they been taking.
I bet BHP, Newcrest and Cornerstone are working together with Blackrock
ooh - this sounds like fun - I would like the opportunity to slap Irwin down, he behaves like a spoilt child.
That's an aggressive move. Who's behind it?
This could be good for SOLG. I can smell monetisation
no longer a holder but I want to see small-holders enjoy some gains
Cripes!
