Gkb, DYOR and good luck to you!
@gkb47,
Whilst always watching both sides of the coin , I must say that apart from the COPD interim analysis timeline , I have always found Richard to be very precise in his communications .
As we must always be careful with our hard earned money, it's important to be diligent with regards to readouts and if we can't believe the CEO, who can we believe ?
Results are data driven and are always a flip of the coin for investors , so we are always trying to read too much into any changes that may occur coming up to deadlines ....
We are now 14-15 days away from my estimated deadline for COvid readout and time has run out on my deadline on COPD ...it's only Richard's last ´rampy ´ interview which gives me some leeway to be more optimistic as I reckon that lot's of things are going on in the background .... my holdings here are now at a level that I can wait for the results and see if the wager will be worthwhile or not ...but everyone to their own trades and convictions ...
Gkb- you do seem to have been going on about this for ages. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest that results slipped a month. I think people need to get a grip. As someone posted earlier they are doing in a matter of months what would normally take years to achieve. Think you need to take a step back and gain some perspective tbh.
Gkb, you call it inference, the rest of us call it common sense.
Out of interest, what do you imagine their update for the 'delay' would have looked like?
"We regret to inform you that people don't seem to be getting sick quickly enough to fulfil our earlier timeline of June for completion of the hospital trial, therefore it will now be July, which is still within the trial approval timeframe so doesnt require any further amendment, but we thought we'd let you know anyway"
Candid - it was 11,266,293 at some point 5 days ago ;)
(probably a fair bit less now)
clinical trial data will be shared as soon as it’s been reviewed and signed off. The real drag on the shareprice over the past few weeks has been Acacia selling and they have 11,266,293 shares to go
Stop talking rubbish he only said the summer until the last interview where he said hospital results should come out in July.
What utter dribble is spoken on this board.
Almost entertaining to read the repetitious moaning.
Why you was not impressed with Richard's last interview gkb47 amazes me.
He was very clear about where we are and what is to be expected going forward from here with the trials. He came across as very relaxed and confident.
We will get our hospital trial results in July.
Home Trials will come later in the year.
COPD trials will arrive when they do.
Learn some patience and believe in the company and treatment that you are invested in.
Gkb, it is my inference (i would say its also SNGs) that trial completion and readout dates are driven by the recruitment of those trials so when they say "We have also been pleased with the progress of the SG016 trial in the hospital environment, having dosed 98 of 100 patients"; they see that as a positive, not a delay, because they have no control over how quickly patients get sick.
They did say earlier that they expected that it would be June however if you read the trial amendment around end of April it talks about how they couldn't get patients diagnosed quickly enough so were making the amendment.
These trials normally take years and some here are complaining about a difference if 1 to 2 months on a timeline.
@gkb47
One should also take the time to watch Richard's interviews where he took the time to explain things , imo
You don't need to get hung up on this point gkb47. Whether it was in an rns or not it's pretty straightforward to ascertain.
Gkb, the reason for the 'delay' that you're looking for is stated in that RNS. Its always been driven by recruitment. The patients that are recruited have to meet a specific criteria therefore they need to be diagnosed early.
SNG has no control over the amount of people who get sick with covid and they can only fill the trial when they fill it. They don't need to explain that to me.
ChrisTOffer,
We can agree on that :-)
Nolupus, completely agree with you on the entry criteria. The point I was making was that they couldn't fill the recruitment quickly in the beginning as the turnaround times in testing/diagnosis were taking several days from patients being admitted to hospital.
The first amendment to the hospital trial addressed this with an improvement in the test kit they were using, which led to faster recruitment of patients who met the criteria.
That discipline by SNG resulted in the readout moving from June to July however it should hopefully also result in better data.
ChrisTOffer,
May i beg to disagree ?
Nothing to do with testing as all patients were already in hospitals and tested ....
Synairgen had strict entry criteria for admission into the trial and because of their ´ optimised criteria ´ recruitment took a bit longer than initially anticipated .. is my view
Takenorisk, the timeline is clearly laid out for those who are prepared to look and understand. June changed to July because of the 'slower' development of COVID testing.
I say 'slower' because development of covid testing/treatments are happening at an unprecedented pace. Still not quick enough for some it would seem.
I see the derampers are out today looking for a bargain basement entry.
Well researched investors know the time lines and July could well see a big rearate.
Chris, the timelines were NEVER clearly laid out and thats the problem!!
We were n"CLEARLY" informed that we would have news in June latest which never arrived and was given a vague timeline in RM's rather non committal interview a few weeks ago.
Takenorrisk, the timelines are clearly laid out. We're looking at end of July with the possibility of COPD results earlier. What kind of update are you hoping for cause it would be immaterial until results are released.
Following on that point, I'd expect news of some substance in the next 2 trading weeks. This one included. Any later and regardless of research I fear the worst.
Not a negative, just a point.
My opinion
Sub 30p if no news by end of this week. The silence is deafening and creates doubt.
Probably 20000+ posts on here over the past 4 months regurgitating the same old useless information and every conspiracy theory known to man in an attempt to justify putting money into SNG.
Although there is still a chance that we will get good results (I am still holding in fading hope) the odds are drifting with every trading session we go without an update of any substance
