Oh goody, I’m pleased I woke up a few sleepy board members. Much prefer the bickering than radio silence! Looks like that is given by an epi pen style instrument but otherwise great news for SNG001. Much prefer to have an inhaler than a stab in the leg.
Well done Eva. I believe you got in at the right time. A lot of us would have rather got in now but instead have had to average down to Improve our holding. Think I first bought around 55p! I hope you are handsomely rewarded as I do everyone else. Fingers crossed the hospital results give us a little more than mild improvements and once at home trials results have landed we should know where this company is going.
I’m actually buying another company tomorrow (100%!) so may be off grid for a few days but hoping for a little tick up by end of week.

One of the reasons the uptake will be slower for the home trial is because the inclusion criteria is made up of at-risk patients who are most likely being shielded, therefore less likely to come into contact with anyone who has the virus. It was always going to be a slow burner however SNG imitated in their annual report that it isn't necessarily a pre-requisite for the next step in the approval process. The hospital trial may be enough to start generating revenue (through millions of doses) by year end.
If hospital results are positive, we will get national exposure, and as a result so will the home trial. I would therefore expect uptake on the home trial to be completed in a matter of weeks in August and results released by September - which btw is end of summer. So to clarify home trial results by end of summer imo :P
If you're an investor with a long term view (which i am), then they are due imminently. Even 3 weeks is nothing in the grand scheme of things (15 years development). I just felt that Algy's post needed to have that caveat added so we don't see a repeat ResultsAreLateGate.
Think we should all just use the phrase "results are due imminently".
It's correct, whilst vague enough that we're not obsessing over specific days/dates, that we can't predict.
Would save a lot of to and fro'ing ;)
oh lord are we still having debates on the definition of "July" and "Summer" for trial read outs. This forum used to be one of the more intellectual forums on LSE....
Ha ha....
Hi Algy, yes that logic and the standard industry turnaround times for readouts would suggest that COPD results are due anytime and may even be late. However, they were granted permission for interim analysis on the basis that the data would support the COVID hospital trial so they may be announced together. "Summer" is a big window.
Fun night with the missus, ALGY?
unbounded........'unblinded'......oh dear
Reviewing dates for results.....am I right to believe......?
26th May SNG confirm 3 sets of results to be expected......in the order COPD, Covid hospital, and Covid home.
28th May SNG confirm last patient doses. Tx 2 weeks.
On interview RM confirms same time next month, 24th July ish, for Covid hospital results. This gives them 6 weeks to analyse results.
26th May COPD unbounded......add 6 weeks......8-9th July......any moment.
Thanks Heid, and thank you for your ongoing contribution! That statement has been on the website for a few months now.
I agree ALGY7
I liked this bit too on Synairgen's website:
Synairgen’s other current activities with COVID-19
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Synairgen has been approached by, and is in discussion with, a number of other medical, scientific, and Governmental bodies (both in the UK, US and internationally) seeking to investigate novel therapeutics in this area.
WOW
DEMAND MUST BE THROUGH THE ROOF
Heid...yes I saw that earlier this week. It must be good news. The only people who request drugs are Prescribing Doctors and nurses. The people treating Covid patients. Maybe they have a good sense that this drug is effective.
Read me tweet.
Look at Daily Mail article plus discussing Fibrotic disease.
The article is quite sobbering and makes you realise the difference Synairgen could make with Covid lung problems.

When the numbers are filled they will release an update, theyve done that previously so expecting the same for the home trial.. plenty of news in july
I agree Everton, the switch to national recruitment was the key, and also I think personally was very necessary,as they may have struggled to complete within a small area/radius. I also believe these will be the key figures/company maker. So hopefully the sooner the trial numbers are full the better. But an update would be nice if possible.
Morning,
Not sure how long this has been on the Synairgen front page website :
Access to SNG001 to treat individuals outside clinical trials
On the 18th March Synairgen announced its plans to initiate a clinical trial of SNG001 in COVID-19 patients. The trial (named SG016) will provide data on the efficacy of inhaled interferon beta in the treatment of home-based and hospitalised patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. Since the announcement, we have received a number of requests for SNG001 supplies to treat individuals outside the trial. Supplies of SNG001 are being directed towards the SG016 clinical trial and we are unable to fulfil any such request at this time.
3 volunteers recruited a day would take a month, 2 volunteers a day about 6/7 weeks. 1 volunteer a day would mean 3 months. With recruitment currently national, I’m optimistic about the trial concluding faster than people believe. The shift to national recruitment was key.
Be nice to get an update on the home trial numbers, we know from RM interview that pockets of infections are coming up and expect Leicester to yield numbers, they contributed significant numbers for the hospital trial. The fact that the government had 36 areas ready for local lockdowns suggests numbers should be there. I was expecting a quicker recruitment rate now we have gone national. Nearly a month now are we at 50%?25%? Results looking likely to be September on that one. COPD results sandwiched between the two? Let’s hope they have been business with the follow up work so we get direction on the back of any significant results.
