What is your job title at SEYE ,seeingm??
you never give up do you? we understand the delay issue but it's a delay not a cancellation. New laws mandate DMS and for that I am grateful
Veoneer have plenty of new launches to come in 2020
It's slightly ironic that a day or so after JLR state it's 'delaying' the implementation of IR DMS until 2022 and Mr Carlson says OEM's are showing renewed interest in L2+ when there has, including JLR, either been reported issues, empty plastic cases or so called delays with the premium European OEM's which would suggest that not all the problems relate to non-DMS issues.
Oh, to be agnostic, means you can blame everybody else until there's no one else to blame.
Spot on with that judgement as per below -

Joachim Gunell -- DNB Markets -- Analyst
'Thank you. Good afternoon. So we touched upon China but from a regional perspective here, where is ADAS adoption growing the fastest would you say and with the cycle continuing turning south, I mean, are there any changes in terms of interest from customers and we mentioned decontenting here related to active safety'?
Jan Carlson -- Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer and acting Head of Business Unit Europe, Veoneer.
'No, I think we have a global interest on the level two class the level 2+ and the move from level four focus to more level 2+ focus if not more outspoken for any of the other regions, that is across the globe, you see an higher interest for this coming from OEM actually across the board, so scalable architecture focusing on L2+ is the biggest interest what we see around the globe.''

Even Viktor acknowledged the delay in his Oct note, however is it a retender situation which opens up JLR to SM..
"However, in our view, some launches from Geely and the European premium OEMs outside BMW seem a bit delayed, at least in relation to the SOPs (Start of
Production) stated in the press releases. Smart Eye cannot comment on the customers and
OEMs roll-out plans.
We believe the eventual delays are related to factors outside of the DMS and we expect them to be more individual and not based on e.g. the economy or the trade war. We have one hypothesis that delays could be related to autonomous driving technology,
as we believe there has been a general market shift from higher autonomy (level 3-4) in favor
of lower autonomy (called level 2+, level 2.5 or level 2.99)."
It's an interesting decision by JLR as you'd expect the work it, and also the Tier 1 and 2" to have been substantial, the more so for those models expected in 2019 and 2020 but even 2021.
Also, whoever the Tier 1 and 2 are, surely at the very least there should be a restatement of earnings expected when the models go into production and if it's retendered from 2022, does that not mean that technically the contract should be treated as null and void?
It's a conundrum and must be absolutely terrible, especially for the Tier 2. Maybe it's best, if it's publicly quoted, the Tier 2 updated the market as to the delay /termination of the contract. It's always best for companies to get the bad news out of the way then they can their way.
Seeingm, JLR was 13 so maybe 43, maybe less if Geely also changed their mind
Have SEYE told their investors JLR have delayed as they were meant to go into production 2019.
I guess at this stage nobody knows if the RFQ will be reissued. Few more T2s available to bid this time.

Smart Eye have 56 design-wins, not 53
Apparently Smarteye are best in the world with 53 design wins, people on here moan and ask for such marketing, well be careful what you wish for
“It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.”
53 - 13 = 40, anymore of their design wins that "just ain't so" I wonder ?. Geely seems slow to issue a SOP date, perhaps they will do the same as Volvo
